Lifting
gyms
can
Be
intimidating
places,
especially
for
a
woman.
I
started
coming
to
Rx
strength
training
to
attend
acro
yoga
classes
at
equilibrium,
but
decided
to
take
personal
training
classes
because
the
staff
is
so
friendly.
When
you
first
walk
in
the
space
you
are
greeted
by
a
pride/trans
flag
and
a
Black
Lives
Matter
flag.
Even
though
I
don’t
have
one
of
those
marginalized
identities,
it
made
me
feel
like
it
was
an
inclusive
and
empathetic
space
and
set
a
tone
of
belonging.
The
gym
is
non
pretentious,
It’s
not
an
equinox
and
doesn’t
pretend
to
be,
it’s
in
a
big
warehouse
what
you
get
instead
are
staffed
gym
hours
with
actual
trainers
who
can
answer
questions
in
case
you
need
help
with
your
form.
Most
of
the
time
I’m
there
I
see
the
owner
giving
private
lessons
or
teaching
a
class.
There
are
several
pieces
of
equipment
that
other
gyms
don’t
have
that
have
made
weightlifting
Accessible
to
me,
I
greatly
appreciate
The
ssb
bar,
when
I
couldnt
lean
now
to
lift
a
low
bar,
it
made
squats
possible
for
me.
I
also
love
working
with
my
trainer
(John).
He
has
been
so
patient
with
me
and
didn’t
let
me
give
up
when
I
was
struggling
to
learn
to
form
for
deadlifts.
He
understood
how
my
body
structure
made
it
difficult
and
suggested
a
wider
stance,
which
was
a
game
changer
for
me.
Only
downside
is
it’s
lack
of
air
conditioner,
but
summer
is
short.
Glad
I
did
the
personal
training
pack
and
happy
to
recommend
the
studio
(and
equilibrium
acrobatics)
to
others.

Praise,
I
am
currently
5
months
pregnant
and
have
been
working
out
in
this
weightlifting
gym
during
my
entire
pregnancy.
The
staff
are
amazing,
Coach
Jeff
and
Nadia
have
helped
me
by
adapting
some
of
the
workouts
for
the
RX
fit
class
so
that
they
are
appropriate
as
my
body
changes
and
center
of
gravity
change.
I
have
a
history
of
chronic
back
pain
due
to
an
injury
11
years
ago,
my
Chiropractor
said
that
my
posture
and
my
back
is
actually
in
better
shape
5
months
pregnant
than
it
was
before
pregnancy.
I
know
that
this
is
due
to
the
squats
and
workouts
I
have
been
doing
at
RX,
which
has
been
the
only
change
in
my
routine
since
finding
out
I
am
pregnant.
Furthermore,
the
people
in
the
RX
Fit
class
are
so
encouraging.
I
was
nervous
they
would
think
that
I
am
lame
because
I
lift
lighter
due
to
being
pregnant,
but
everyone
is
so
supportive
and
cheers
each
other
on
there.
So
grateful
I
found
this
gym.
