😐 Meh...it's ok for a place that charges $150/mth for membership ($200 sign up fee). The tennis membership is $10 more per month, but then you have to pay $22/hr for court fees. Tennis court reservations were free for summer 2018, but there's a $15 guest fee, so I guess it's still pricey. I like that... People often mention club, pool, machines, classes,

I like that they gave a good dry sauna and steam rooms (with eucalyptus oil), the drinking fountains have a good taste, but the supposedly low chlorine swimming pool still gives me yeast infection, I was weirded out with the silence in all work out areas and frustrated with the awkward angles of the screens on the cardio machines which is probably only good for people above 5 foot 4 inches.

Just went in yesterday and the front office staff was extremely rude. I was trying to get a day pass for my girlfriend as she wanted to see the gym before commiting to any sort of program and the customer rep essentially shut her down while I know for a fact that day passes are a thing at the Mount Auburn Club. I think it goes without saying that she will not be returning! First impressions a key for new customers and it seems they don't need our money or business

A average club at a premium club price. MAC may be great for tennis, but for fitness it's an expensive club with limitations. The target age group is older, most of the member seem to be doing rehab, not working out. They have lots of cardio machines, and a good number of resistance machines, but the free weights are tucked away in the corner with no room to safely lift. I've been a member at the University Club and Sports Club L/A in Boston; MAC is just below their price point, but not close in service, atmosphere, etc. My co-worker has been a member for years, he confirms it is not a friendly atmosphere among the members. I upgraded my review to 3 stars after they finally sent me a check refunding my money for the "free" trial. It took a month, follow up from me, and more that a few questions (i.e. not "no questions asked") before the refund was processed. If you're doing the free trial, then ask lots of questions, carefully check your credit card statements and get everything in writing.

I've been a member for about a year now. It's a nice gym with all the essentials plus extras: cardio equipment, weights, pool/hot tub, various classes, towel service, and a nice deli in the lobby. Parts of the gym feel dated, and it has older clientele, but that's just optics. Membership is a bit pricey, but overall it's a solid and clean gym.

It's a nice, clean tennis club with a great pool and whirlpool. The price is high for both tennis and regular membership. Around $100-$140. The best part of this club are the pool, their new machines, and the yoga classes/studios but it has a few downsides too. The average age is probably above 70 so the classes are useless if you are under 40 AND there are too many white racist guys around.

The pool is cold several days a week. The NY times was cancelled. If you put a note in suggestion box, no one calls or emails me back. The staff is great, but club has administration issues. I've been there over 15 years and I may change to another club.

I have been a member for 5 years and hope to continue for as long as I can! it is a perfect gym for me- clean, lots of different opportunities for exercise, great machines, classes and the personal trainers I have worked with are amazing. The pool is one of my favorite pools to swim in - especially in the morning when the sunlight streams through the windows!

This is an awesome gym! It's a large facility with plenty of parking spots, and thus you'll never have to wait for machines, even during the post-work rush. There's also a seemingly infinite variety of exercise equipment, even a minimally chlorinated pool (which is although small, is never crowded) with showers next to it (insisting that swimmers shower before entering the pool). All the showers are clean and equipped with shampoo, soap, conditioner, and some have post-pool-specific soaps! There are also plenty of showers, endless lockers with keys, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. The women's vast and clean locker room also have vanities with hairspray, deodorant, cotton balls, etc). There's also a Cafe (they make the food fresh upstairs in the industrial kitchen). I was duly impressed by this facility, and ask for Kevin Kaine! He was a fantastic representative and gave me pretty good perks along with the membership, willing to accommodate my needs.

If you're looking for the complete health club package, this is your place. From an extensive class schedule to personal and group trainings to tennis and even a spa, the MAC has what you're looking for. One of my favorite things about the MAC is the connivence of it's proximity to my work, the lack of hassel to park and it's awesome list of classes. There are so many classes to try and the instructors are knowledgeable and personable. I've stuck to a regular yoga and pilates class schedule, but I've also tried various other types of classes including Zumba and spinning. I've been to the club at all hours and I've never had to wait to use any of the equipment. They have a variety of cardio and strength training machines throughout the first floor. All the staff members at the MAC are really helpful and nice. Everyone greets you with a smile and they actually remember you.
