Ran into this small sandwich shop while looking for a lunch spot in the Leather District. Got the Big Steak sub with a side of a brownie that they had for a dollar special. With thousand island dressing, the sub tasted vaguely similar to McD’s cheeseburger but I enjoyed it overall. They also have a rotating daily specials and I’m interested in trying their pochetta sandwich

I said this to the owners, but have to give my kudos on here as well. You always hear or see places on shows and social media. Figaro's is one of those places I heard about for years from Phantom Gourmet, but had never tried since I usually work nights. But today, I was out early, and I remembered them. The place is small and busy, but they moved through the crowded line so fast and were super friendly. The ordering process may take some getting used to. But once you do it, it's easy. I got the Sonny Corleone wrap, which is one of their most popular, and it was delicious. Literally, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I dined in trying to take a picture and told myself I would only eat half, but I ended up inhaling it in 10 minutes. It was that good! And they have a deal where you can add a brownie/Blondie for a $1 extra. I even got a different sandwich to bring home, and will try more next time. Just overall, a fantastic spot that I have told friends about already and will be back, even if it is out of the way. I worked at a deli at a supermarket for years, and it's not easy, especially in a small space, so I just wanted to give them some love since I know how it is. Support small businesses. Especially places that serve food you can't get anywhere else

Found this little gem while searching for lunch close to our hotel. It’s soooooo hot out there! I rarely order chicken salad, but it was the special & the mix in of cilantro & jalapeño is right up my alley. It was delicious! I also got the last one. There were threats of mugging me on my way out…😂. All in fun. My daughter got one of the steak subs and it looked amazing as well. And huge! I’m assuming it’s a family owned joint. The folks running it are super friendly! Brownies on the house, too. Loved it! Will definitely be back.

I’ve had 2 sandwiches so far, chicken pesto and Italian. The chicken pesto didn’t have as much flavor as anticipated but still pretty good. The flavor of the Italian was great. However the crust on the sub roll was rock hard and extremely difficult to bite through it. I’ll certainly be back but will go with focaccia or a wrap next time.

Sooo delicious and the staff were fast and friendly. Eggplant was hot and crispy. The honey mustard was perfectly balanced. This is easily the best sandwich bread I’ve ever had: soft, slightly chewy, airy, never soggy. I would eat here every single day if it wasn’t $15/sandwich. This place is very popular but I was able to get in and out in 10 minutes.

Had an hour to kill between buses, and of course is was pouring rain. Didn’t want to walk far but found this place a block away from the station. Staff was welcoming and helped me pick out from their 26 different sandwiches(not including secret menu). Got the Sonny Corleone wrap which was so good but that chicken parm on the special board kept calling my name. Plus I had to try their bread before I left so I ordered another sandwich. Also incredible. 10/10 would get soaked again.

Best sandwiches I’ve had. Staff is great, super friendly and they get you in and out quickly even on the busiest days. Can’t recommend enough.

One of the best Italian subs I have ever had. Same goes for the meatball. This is a must hit for a great sandwich. Because it was 1st time here they gave us free brownies too! Great service!

Amazing grinders, phenomenal atmosphere and the best service!! I'm lucky enough to work down the street from Figaros and go there often for lunch. Don't sleep on their brownies either... they are fantastic!!

Best Italian sandwiches can be found here. Really great family owned place. Highly recommend - the flavor of the sandwiches is out of this world! I loved the Luca Brasi; may have been one of the favorite sandwiches I’ve had ever. Super friendly people here as well! Already thinking of what I’ll get next time I’m in town!

Searched and searched for a go-to lunch spot near the office… after some time, I’ve FINALLY found it! This place is amazing: fresh ingredients, lots of tasty options and just: DELICIOUS. Great value for the money too. I’ve had the Italian and the Chicken Pesto, and I’ll buy either again in a second. It gets busy, so you might see a line out the door, but do yourself a favor and just wait, it’s totally worth it! (And grab a brownie as well, yum)

I had an Italian sub, it tasted good but I got pretty sick. this happens to me when I eat cold cuts that have elevated nitrates and nitrites. the place was packed but moved right along, staff were very friendly and they gave out free brownies!! they were delicious.

Amazing food! We both had the Nonna’s Meatball! The sauce was superb, the meat/sauce bread ratio was perfect, and the homemade bread was divine! Do yourself a favor and make this a priority stop! A true Boston stop! Limited seating- bar top seating at the window and loved it!

I can hands down say this is the best sandwich I have had in the past several years, maybe ever in my life. I went during my lunch hour on work and split with someone both a Cha Cha (steak, cheese, etc) and a Stichino (eggplant, tomato, etc). I can arguably say I’ve never had an eggplant sandwich that packed that much of a punch. The flavor was off the charts and I’m so glad I found this place. When anyone asks me where to get a sandwich, this is going to be my number one answer! I can’t wait to go back and try more sandwiches.

In the realm of sandwich shops, Figaro's is on the higher end. The sandwiches are simple, but put together with high quality ingredients. For example, instead of some generic sandwich roll, you'll get a hearty ciabatta. Instead of a regular mayonnaise, you might get a pesto mayonnaise. My favorite is the Cha Cha... Imagine a big steak and cheese with some sharpness from red onion and a light tang from some honey mustard. Be sure to get a blondie -- they're soft, chewy, sweet, and big enough to split between two people. You can tell the staff loves to cook and loves working at Figaro's. They're making great food and having fun doing it.

Figaros is a great Boston find. It’s a great lunch spot known for its lunch sandwiches and Italian family-friendly service. While most people prefer the nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches, I prefer their chili, which has just the right amount of runny-nose causing hotness. If you are lucky enough to be in the area for breakfast (and they aren’t closed preparing for a catering job at that time), you can feast on the ultimate, an egg, meat, cheese, and hash brown breakfast sandwich on your choice of breakfast breads. Seriously, it will rock your breakfast world—and your waistline. I highly recommend it. The only downer? It closes after lunch. Understandable, but sad times for those having a later lunch.

Italian sub was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of hots, onions, lettuce and seasoning. Cold cuts were top of the line. Also knew it was gonna be a good spot when I walked in and they were playing Juicy by Biggie Smalls. And when I asked if they put balsamic on it the kid gave me a funny look and said that’s not supposed to be on an Italian. I’ve had plenty of newer sub shops that for some strange reason think putting balsamic on an Italian sub is ok. It’s not and this needs to change. Anyways, their Italian sub is an amazing sub and I wish they were opened on the weekends. It would be worth the 15 minute drive into Boston but I’ll enjoy this spot as my go to Italian sub spot when I’m in work and craving a sub

I just went once to this place and it's ok. I did not like my sandwich that much but they have many options that my friends loved. I had the stack pizzaiola just in case you wanna know. You have to order to go and if you pay cash they give you a dessert for free. This made me really happy because it was the best thing of my lunch. Sizes are big and prices just ok. It worth to try it out

If I could give this place SIX STARS I would in a heart beat!! The owners are phenomenal, the workers are friendly and talkative, and the environment is very welcoming. Best meatball sub I've ever had in my life without doubt. God Bless Figaro's

Great sandwiches and great people! We were there with our toddler and they were so sweet to her. Very authentic, even the Boston firefighters eat here.

Mediocre sandwich and ~$3 per sandwich too expensive. I've had much better sandwiches before for less money. The quality is comparable to a standard pizza place sandwich

Fantastic food from the greatest people! Their salads and sandwiches are always top notch - fresh & delicious. They've also been doing dinners to-go (or delivered for larger orders) during the pandemic so on this visit I was picking up several days' worth of beautifully prepared dinner entrees that I had ordered in advance. Everything was packaged perfectly and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend every single thing I have ever gotten here. 14/10
