Northeast Road Trip... Boston/Salem was 4 days out of our 9 day road trip up to Bar Harbor. With so much to do in Boston we started to think that it may be to expensive. After some research we came across Go Boston Card which allowed me, my son and my parents to visit places that we normally would not choose because we wanted to save our money for something more "traditional" for grown-ups. We purchased a 2 day pass which included a multitude of attractions. Sam Adams Brewery, ISS Constitution, Aquarium, zoo, hop on and hop off bus where just a few things we did using our pass. In addition, we were able to visit Salem's Witch Museum and The House of Seven Gables. Go Pass was great. You download it on your phone and scan it when you arrive at the attractions.

We went to Boston for Spring Break 2018 with family. Even though I went to Harvard 25 years ago, there were still many things I had not done before (We quacked on the fun Duck-Duck-Tour, and children get to drive the boat on the Charles River). All-in-all, the Go-Card was well worth it with the museums, boat rides, harbour cruises, and sights. Our only downside is we did not have enough vacation days to do everything. We also had good experiences with GoCard in New York City and also in San Francisco. We found GoCard to be the better deal than competitors.

Great option for visiting Boston and seeing different attractions. I went to the : 1. Aquarium ( amazing( 2. Duck tour ( very good) 3. Science museum ( best I've every been to) 4. Observation deck (was good but could do with more guidance to you you can see) All in all very good value, efficient and great way to see many different sights would definitely do it again, and recommend highly

If you plan on traveling to major cities and exploring through tourists eyes, you MUST purchase this pass! It saved me over 50% on all the attractions our family wanted to participate in. Once purchased download your passes via their app. The app will provide all attractions and instructions for setting up reservations or just showing up with phone in hand! QR codes on ur phone are used to scan your entry. These help with quicker entry access to whatever attractions you select. Depending on what you select, it's valid for 60 days or up to a year.. This was one of the best purchases, we used it for Boston, but will definitely use for other states as well! Thank you Go City!

The Go Boston Card was perfect for my out of town guests! I purchased the all-inclusive three-day pass for two adults and two kids. They are huge history fans, of which Boston is full of history, and they were able to fit a lot in with three days. The Duck Tour, New England Aquarium, Science Museum, Paul Revere House, along with having fun on the trolleys and all were no line wait with the all-inclusive pass. I would highly recommend the all-inclusive passes because they get to select a premium attraction as well. On hot days no waiting in line and they were able to show their smart phone pass so no fumbling or losing tickets. The four Go Passes were priced amazingly lower than what I would have spent if I were to buy individual passes to each attraction. Go Pass is the Boston Go to Pass for me from now on and is highly recommended even if you don't live out of state with all the selections of activities across Massachusetts not just Boston!

Ok first of all if you are taking public transportation this is not the best deal for you. The public transportation system is slow And complex. Secondly weekends are very busy. And even though your pass will let you into places like the Gardner museum you can’t make reservation for a time slot unless you are in person. And on a busy weekend those fill up fast. Same deal with the salem witch museum. I would decide where you want to go, if they include making a reservation (which you can’t do) , and be realistic about getting to a from places-then see if it’s worth it. Best wishes!

We got a 3-day pass and were a little nervous about the cost since initially it sounds high. But we are thrilled with our experience and got our money's worth. It gave us the freedom to try more places without having to worry about cost. Our teen loved all the costumed guided tours, museums, and historic sites. The affiliated sites were all very friendly and professional. We averaged 3 to 4 sites a day, which individually would have cost much more.

Go City Boston Unfortunately this was a totally waste of money due to the attractions not available at the time however on the website the attractions were showing available. We only discovered this after purchase and trying to book. This was totally misleading and we could have saved money just booking independently with what was available. This also put a negative impact on our visit to Boston and will not book through Go City again.

THIS IS A SCAM IF BOUGHT OUTSIDE THE SUMMER MONTHS! We bought 3 explorer passes because discounted Duck Tours are ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEBSITE. After traveling an hour to the starting location, we were told that Duck Tours were NOT COVERED by the pass. This is FALSE ADVERTISING. A few days later, we traveled 45 minutes to try the Hop On Hop Off tour, ALSO ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEBSITE. When we arrived, we were told tours only started in early summer! We called their customer service number NUMEROUS TIMES and nobody picked up. We texted them on WhatsApp, and it took them OVER A WEEK to respond, at which point we were no longer in Boston! I do NOT recommend this company, their website is MISLEADING and their customer service is NON EXISTENT.

I was surprised by what a good deal this was. We were able to do more than I expected in the time we had the card, so we ended up saving more that I thought we would. We had so much fun seeing the sights of Boston, and enjoyed using the card on a huge variety of attractions--from the Freedom Trail to Museum of Fine Arts. The ease of using the card was amazing. It was particularly nice not having to wait in line at the Aquarium on a hot 90+ degree day. I really loved having the option to do one premium attraction. We did the whale watching tour and it was OUTSTANDING. We're still talking about it. We will definitely use the card again next time.

Don’t use this for Boston. It’s much much harder to reschedule or cancel anything due to this pass and the attractions tell you to contact Go City. It’s just a total waste of time. The savings are also not really worth the trouble you undergo on a vacation trip.

I admit, I was skeptical. I just knew something was going to go wrong, but it worked out really well! We were able to get on the Hop on Hop off bus at the stop near our hotel by just showing the passes on the app. We got off at stop 1 and got our 2 day ticket for the bus. We were able to get into the aquarium even though they were turning people away because they were so busy that day (I did find out later that you can call their ticket number and they can get you an official ticket time, but we didn't have to). We uses the bus to go to other sites and had no problem using the app to get in to all of the sites listed in the app. We did the Harbor tour with no issues. Walked straight up showed the app and got our tickets. It was worth every penny! I highly recommend it! We didn't run into any issues while there!

We did the explorer pass, and it was good. I'm slightly disappointed that the hop-off, hop-on trolley was only once around, but they did tell us that when we checked in, so we just got off at each stop as we went.

Great tool to save money on multiple activities. We did the explorer pass for 3 activities, the aquarium, trolley, and the Harvard Tour, which was great! For the Harvard tour, you need to call and schedule your tour time, ahead of time. You will still have to wait in line for the aquarium to let them scan your go city pass and give you your tickets, also, for the trolley you need to report to their booth so they can give you tickets to hop on and off.

  • 1/5 Susi A. 4 months ago on Google
Beware if the same company on the ticket exists you can’t use them more than twice. Even if it’s different activities. Also there are hidden fees if you don’t show up and there are reservations that will need your credit card information. It’s best to stick to city pass. Also when you call to ask a question the customer service in India will treat you awful. It’s just not worth the hassle. Their hop on hop off ticket is not the best hop on hop off travel experience either. Again avoid this company.

This is an awesome deal for one day on up to however many days you choose. You can jump the trolley that will take you to each stop so no tons of walking. So much to see and the drivers are fun and engaging!

The pass has been amazing throughout 4/5 attractions. Till the last one ruined it with the customer service. I wanted to go on the sunset cruise but there were too many booths and many people to walk around and it’s a first- come first served type of ticket, so I had to go back to save my spot. When the ticket person came he told me I had to exchange it to get on. I sprinted over to ask some people till I found it, but it was too late. No go city signs and nobody tells you where it is beforehand. Customer service offered 5% off refund for a 5 attraction pass which is a joke. Totally ruined the whole positive vibe I had for them

I bought a 3 day pass but only used 2 (tired and limited time on the 3rd day). My first day I went to Salem - Salem Witch Museum was fun, House of Seven Gables/Nathaniel Hawthorne’s birthplace beautiful, and the Real Pirate Museum surprised me being more fascinating than expected. I attempted to go into the Essex-Peabody museum but after checking in the guard told me I’d have to check my day pack but since that was my purse, I was not willing to do that. There are other things to do in Salem as well. Day 2, I did the hop on hop off bus, USS Constitution is stunning (free) next to the fun museum, Paul Revere House is well maintained, Swan boats just to do it, and the aquarium is nice! So much more I wanted to do but not enough time. I will definitely do this again!

Go City cards are incredible! I have used it in 2 cities so far, Boston and Chicago. Both gave us a plethora of information and options, and ultimately a starting point to explore without having to do much research. Both saved us TONS of money on admission fees to all of the attractions. Each time I opted for a 3 day all-inclusive pass, with the hop on/hop off and duck boat tours being the most informative parts. In each city we did tours that we wouldn't have otherwise spent the money on, but that ended up being some of our favorite sites. The site maps on the app are super helpful when it comes to making plans. We saved over $300 in Boston and $360 per person in Chicago, and we left both places feeling like we had really gotten a feel for the areas.

Would have been cheaper if we purchased the attractions separately… The website doesn’t tell you that almost everything is closed on Tuesdays. We bought these passes to go to the museums and we only got to see one. Also the app says the city trolley tours were closed but we saw them driving around the city with passengers? Maybe it’s worth it in the peak of summer but definitely not in March.

Absolutely recommend this pass for those who want to see a lot in a short amount of time. We loved the museums, tours, and bike rentals in Boston

Hop On Hop Off Trolley was convenient and drivers were very informative and had great suggestions for lobster rolls and cannolis. Locations available with Go City pass were interesting and enjoyable.

Purchasing the Go Boston Card was one of the best vacation-related decisions I've ever made. We did so much more in Boston than we probably would have at a fraction of the cost. As an added bonus, we had a great whale watching experience that I would have never purchased separately. It was so easy to use via the app on my phone. It saved us a lot of time and money. I will definitely use the Go Card again for vacations in other cities.

We purchased a 5-day Go Boston Card, and it was totally worth it! We had an amazing time and didn't even have enough time to do all of the activities listed on the card! For premium activity we chose Whale Watching Cruise and were so happy we did it! Hop on/off trolley tour guides were very fun and informative. We used their suggestions while exploring Boston. All of the activities that we attended were a lot of fun and we wouldn't have found them without the guidance of the card. We also bought a 7 day Link pass which met all of out transportation needs around the city, so getting to most places listed on the GoCard was not a problem. For Six Flags and Cape Cod Activities though you can't avoid using a car as it's far away. We were planning to visit Cape Cod, so it was not a problem for us. Boston is an amazing city, and I will definitely come back and bring my kids, buy another Go Boston Card and do kids activities with them!

I’m not sure how I came across this little gem of a card, but it was fantastic during my first trip to Boston. My husband and I were there at the tail end of a conference and to be thrifty tacked on a few days to explore Boston. I spent too much time trying to figure out if the card would be economical for us, it was and is! We used the two day card for our three day trip. I soon realized we should have gotten the three day pass. Staying downtown and having the Go City Card made our trip educational and stress free.

We had so much fun! Definitely worth the price. We went to the Boston Children's museum, New England Aquarium, Skywalk Observatory, Charles River cruise, Sam Adams Brewery, and a Red Sox game. The Red Sox tickets alone made it worth the price!

  • 5/5 Jennifer S. 4 years ago on Google
Super great no hassles no attitudes about the card... Well worth the price.. so many things to do and see. I've been in Boston for 15 days busting it every single day and I still haven't done all that's on the card!

  • 5/5 Mark C. 6 years ago on Google
It really made hitting all of the museums easy and a lot cheaper. And the whale watching cruise was the highlight of the trip.

👍 I normally stray away from doing tours, as it makes me feel too much like a tourist. But it was beautiful day out, and the duck truck was sitting right there ready to start the next tour— so I decided to give it a try. And I’m glad I did.
