It's not at this location anymore. And they don't have a new location yet. I don't want to give stars but this app doesn't let me write this review without doing that. Never saw the museum, but I did interact with a really cool dude at the movie box office (the museum used to be in the basement of a movie theater). So he's worthy of a couple of stars. He did tell me that all the bad art is on their website. TL;DR Disappointed that the museum wasn't there, happily to meet the cool dude at the theater who told me the theater wasn't there anymore.

Small room beneath the Somerville Theater. You can get in either by requesting free tickets online, or with any movie ticket. It's literally just one room, full of paintings. Most are just kind of weird, not like comically bad. It's an interesting way to spend a rainy day, or kill time if you're already at the theater, but it'll only take like 15-30 min of your time.

This museum appeared as one of the to do things in Boston, so I looked up their website & found the free passes application. Free passes were emailed. We go to the museum, at the entrance we were told we need to purchase theatre tickets to go to the museum, later were allowed to go there with the passes. The museum was located in the basement (close to the rest rooms) of a theater. It was just opposite of what I had expected & was very creepy. It was a small room, bad green paint, with a few paintings. Totally not worth it. Thank god we did not purchase the tickets.

I loved it. There's like 2 and 1/2 bars in there? I think the point is to get you numb enough to enjoy the bad art? Have you ever known someone who liked really cheesy horror movies? Or just movies that were so bad they were kinda funny? Well that's how this museum is. The descriptions are really what makes it; they're so funny. This photo was just 1 of my favs!

This is an uproariously funny museum thanks to both the unique art collection and the excellent write-ups about each piece. We had a fabulous time. The museum was formerly in Somerville and is now in a brewery in south Boston. The food and people in the brewery were great also.

Years ago when this museum was in Dedham at the movie theater I donated a really ugly vase. Do you still have it? It was brown and kind of ornately ugly.

This place has one of the most welcoming vibes I've felt in a long time. Came for the bad art museum stayed for: good beer and wine, friendly but not overly friendly staff, Board games to play, skee ball, and BBQ. This is THE perfect date spot. I had 4 drinks and a flight for 60 bucks including tip. The ambiance of the room exudes an Ora of everyone enjoying their job, from the casual conversation to the art cards giving hilarious stories to follow along to, If I could rate it 6 stars I would.

Awesome and fun , but I wish they had more pieces displayed. Brewing company staff were very nice as well

It was more of a brewery than an art gallery. It did have some interesting pieces of art.

Loved the old Dedham location. The movie theater venue was quite appropriate to house unspeakably bad art as we all feared some art student would make an indie film starring all of the subjects captured in the paintings and sculptures.

Inside the Dorchester Brewing Company. It was very interesting seeing the artwork hanging around, even upstairs leading to the rooftop seating. It's free to go in and look. After your done, you can get something to eat at M&M BBQ right inside the place. Or grab a beer, right from the Dorchester Brewing Company bar. I did both. I'm not a beer drinking girl, but the Bartender helped me by offering a fruity beer. He gave me a sample, and it was very good. So I made it a slushy by adding the lemonade they had in the slush machine to the fruity beer. I was impressed!

I'm a told this is where the permanent installation of the MOBA artwork will be. About 2 dozen pieces on display at the brewery. Very interesting pieces with their own charm. Overall a pleasant experience and definitely recommended.

The truly bizarre and awful art will make you chuckle. The hilariously witty captions that go with the art will have you doubled over with laughter. A great stop you can’t miss. Admission is free with the purchase of a movie ticket

Nothing bad about this museum! It's awesome. I used to go all the time when I lived in RI. Also noticed that it's in the Zillionaires Board Game.here's the card

June 16, 2015 I saw a movie that I absolutely loved at the Somerville Theatre-I saw "Love and Mercy"- a tribute to musical genius Brian Wilson. As I waited for the movie to begin, I sat downstairs in the Museum of Bad Art. Boy- was that a relief, AFTER THE VERY STRESSFUL DAY I HAD at a nursing home. Long story short, prior to finding the theatre, I'd like to say with full authority that both Love and Mercy were in very short supply. Yet, the purpose of my missive is to review The Museum- not to offer my personal biography. So, it's back to the current exhibit. The theme is a religious one. A particular piece grabbed my attention. Specifically, it's titled "Altar Ego". I found both the painting and the painting's description very interesting. In fact, I sat directly across from it as I waited for the movie to start. Now there was a coincidence-and-then-some- especially coming "on the heels" of the horrid day I had at a local Catholic nursing home. Kudos to both the curator and fans of "bad art" everywhere!

It’s at the Dorchester brewery which has a friendly staff and many specialty drinks on tap. Many interesting choices by the artists but they tried hard

This is the art in a brewing company. While it is ostensibly weird even bad I was looking for more of a satire of the stuffiness of other museums.

Very cool. Liked the comments posted on the wall for each picture. Wished there were more art displayed.

The fact that they have moved to the taproom makes this place even less serious and distracting because of beer 🍻 )))) while it's still amazing.
