First ever Cambodian restaurant I have been too..and right away very positive experience. Great food with a French twist, very interesting drinks and pleasant service. Spacious and comfortable with nice paintings on the wall.

I find this place to be more American/French/with a hint of Cambodian type of cuisine. Nevertheless, it was still delicious. My favorite was the lamb curry with rice, I also like that it came with veggies. The fish was okay, good thing there were two entrees. Lol. The coconut dessert was bussing! Oh and so was the tuna appetizer!

The staff was so friendly! The pineapple non-alcoholic drink was EXCELLENT. We got the loc lac and the khar saiko dishes, as well as the dumplings for appetizers. They were all super tasty. For dessert, we also had the chocolate cake and coconut custard. All around, a wonderful place!

great variety of drinks, both alcoholic and not. ordered the pineapple thai basil spritzer which was amazing, as well as the psychedelic cocktail. plenty of specials, and you can make a ton of the entrees vegan or gluten free. ordered the rice noodles with tofu, which was definitely more of an asian style but super tasty. i definitely plan to come back

Our experience was mostly good. We came for restaurant week, and ordered the three course meal. The appetizer was tasty and dessert was delicious. I was, however, hugely disappointed in the Salmon dish I ordered. The bowl was literally swimming in butter. I think my plate alone had maybe 3/4 of a cup of butter VISiBLE. For a dish so expensive, I could hardly eat any of it. It had no taste aside from “butter.” I also didn’t want to get sick from eating so much butter. I mentioned my disappointment to the waiter (I picked at the salmon but hardly ate anything else, and showed him the pool of butter on my plate. He just said “oh that’s French cooking for you.” I bristled at this. Uh, no, French cooking isn’t “just a melt a stick of butter over it and call it done.” He later did say “I’m sorry you didn’t like it,” but there was zero offer to make the situation better by cooking another, less buttery bowl for example. I did finish the salmon (not pictured here), but threw the rest out when I got home. Waste of money.

The food was delicious. Flavors were accurate to what I’d expect for SEA dishes but I would have liked what we had to be a bit more flavorful. Service left something to be desired for a place touting itself to be a higher-end establishment. I’d probably come back to try more of the menu

It's restaurant week in Boston so let's try some food! The Elephant Walk was ok, the atmosphere was nice, no music in the background so you didn't need to strain yourself to hear want people were saying. Service was ok. The spring rolls were good but the mussels were my favorite even though they weren't that meaty. I felt the salmon was undercooked but the potatoes were delicious. The curry shrimp was the better dish of the two but was missing something. The chocolate cake was dense and good for a chocolate fix. Note....I was able to replace the salmon with another dish but haven't eaten it before post

What a fun spot. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender was whipping up these gorgeous colorful drinks. He gave us suggestions and explained the menu. The food was phenomenal. Portion sizes were good. We took an Uber so I am not too sure about Parking. Enjoy!

If you took me here on a date you would get lucky. This place is an absolute gem not for drinks, not for service, not for how absolutely amazing the food is but all of the above. What an experience. Wayne (I’m sorry if I messed up your name. ) you are fantastic. Run don’t walk here.

Nice and quite Restaurant with a big size bar area to hang out and have a drink. Table area is not big. Good and kind service, food has a good quality Vs price. Overall a good place to come every now and then.

I wanted to check out this restaurant because they recommended the Cambodian food and range of spirits. I really enjoyed this experience, the delicious food and the wonderful attention. ❤️

This place was fantastic! I can definitely see the fusion between French and Cambodian. The food was really flavorful and the staff was friendly. I world recommend getting a three course meal combo so that you can try different things. The place is also layed out to give enough distance between guests during the pandemic.

I love this restaurant! Their food is always amazing. I love that there are many gluten free and dairy free options on the regular menu. I particularly love the curry and have a hard time not just ordering the same thing each time. The waitstaff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the food and dietary restrictions. This restaurant gives off good vibes and seems welcoming and inclusive to all.

Delicious food in both French and Cambodian cuisine. We had the salmon in lemon cream sauce and the curry chicken with peanuts and vegetables. Both were great. Deserts were excellent too.

Cocktails were not as stellar as others claim imo (I wouldn’t order psychedelic cocktail - others were good though) Food was solid. I enjoyed the duck and while I appreciated half of the loc lac (half was slightly over cooked), the loc lac was rather pedestrian as a dish. Service was not great tbh - food server ignored my answers to her questions.

Restaurant week prix fix menu was fantastic. Mussels appetizer and spring roll were delicious. Pork dish was superb. Everything made perfectly and our waiter, Jason, couldn't be nicer. Would definitely go back.

There are so many amazing options here that I struggled to choose what to get!! This is one of those restaurants where there are no wrong choices—everything was delicious. The server was also friendly and attentive (despite being quite busy). Highly recommend.

I tried this restaurant with a big group a few months ago and got to try a variety of dishes. Overall I thought the selection was quite unique and there were some dishes I liked, but some others fell flat. There were some interesting appetizers including a a raw tuna crispy spring roll and a ground pork curry sort of dish. These were decent but not amazing. We tried two of the soups, but neither of them were particularly good. The tomato based soup was quite acidic and the noodle soup was pretty standard. The mussels were pretty good if I recall correctly. In terms of mains, the amok royal took a long time to be prepared and I thought it was a bit underwhelming. The sauce was pretty watery. We also got khar saiko kroeung which had pretty good noodles and some tangy beef that was not that tender. The steak and fries were quite good. But I was hoping to find some Cambodian dishes here that I really loved, which didn't happen.

I visited The Elephant Walk on a whim while walking near the South End. The Cambodian/French menu was intriguing and I had to give it a try! The ambiance was decent, nothing fancy really, and pretty casual. The Loc Lac beef tenderloin entree was incredible. Tender, flavorful, utterly delicious. Highly recommend it!! The Mee Siem noodles were also very good. They had a really rich flavor and the serving since was a good portion. Also got a side of fries that were pretty good, nothing too special, typical shoestring style fries you’d get from a fast casual French place, I’d say. Service was a bit slow, forgot to bring the cocktails we ordered for a while. But it wasn’t terrible. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking out The Elephant Walk if you’re in the area. I’d say it’d be a good spot for a weeknight dinner.

We were so lucky to have chosen this restaurant for a nice family meal. My daughter is vegan and I'm vegetarian, so we both had delicious options here. The food was perfectly fragrant and flavorful, the non-alcoholic drinks were delicious, and dessert was heavenly. The restaurant was short-staffed, but you would have never known it as the waiter/host/bartender was busting his a** making sure every table was getting great service and hot food. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Boston.

A really lovely time all around! Our server Jason was very attentive & a joy to speak with. The food was phenomenal from starters to deserts. It’s evident that a lot of thought & care goes into the preparation of each dish. And, the wine selection paired very well with offerings on the menu. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to Boston!

Updated review 8 months apart from original: sad to say, in recent visits, their food quality has decreased in terms of portion size and substance. In a meat main dish, there’s such little meat on the side of a pile of rice and some lettuce, makes you question what you ordered for $30. Aside from that, I find majority of their main dishes to be overly sweat, I was shared by the server it’s a characteristic of Cambodian cuisine, I can agree with that, but if you like your food savory, better stay on the French side of the menu. Cocktails are still so good that I’d come here just for them! Original 5 stars review: Great food and great drinks! Would definitely come again.

In anticipation of Dine out Boston, I came here with some friends and here’s what I’ll say -appetizers were fine, I got a avocado citrus soup which I can say had some pretty interesting flavors that I enjoyed. -I think entrees were the biggest let down. The beef rib was strange, and the salmon was giving Cheesecake Factory, and for the duck not terrible but…. Just go to Chinatown -the chocolate cake with the raspberry sauce tasted kind of like the cosmic brownies u take for school lunch. Ice cream was aight. -For a Friday night, it wasn’t that busy yet our entrees took longer than expected. But that’s not to say the staff wasn’t nice, they were kind. And lastly, the price was not giving what it was supposed to give. But hey they’re “top 5”, whoever decided that…

This place has a great atmosphere and offers a unique mix of French and Cambodian flavors. We went there as a part of Dine Out Boston and had six totally different dishes - from delicious croquettes with mushroom sauce through Cambodian spring rolls (quite good) to one of the best duck dishes I've ever tasted (blood orange duck) and a wonderful spicy tenderloin. Service could be slightly improved, but it is as good as anywhere in Boston and the food is veeery much worth it!

My first time here and everything was delicious! We went for a friend's birthday and it was a group of us. We had a nice table and the waiter was nice as well. I loved my food and that green drink (can not remember the name) was so good, I had two of them and almost ordered a 3rd one 😅
