Very nice, we had a cream tea for three on Mother’s Day and we loved it. Lots of teas and coffees to choose from and the finger sandwiches and cakes were lovely. The scones were really nice and the meringues were perfect. Quirky cafe and really nice staff. We saw some lunch meals being served and they looked equally impressive. Thanks Brew Babu for a lovely experience.

Went for afternoon tea, during booking I had requested vegan and they confirmed this with us when we arrived. Our table was ready for us and we were given menus to select our drinks from their very impressive selection. It wasn't long until everything arrived and a very enthusiastic staff member was talking us through everything we were about to eat. Everything was absolutely delicious, you don't expect to have that quantity of food and have it be that good. The atmosphere was incredible, we took our time and didn't feel rushed, the staff were very friendly and passionate, really nothing to fault, highly recommended!

This used to be the place to go for us and a family and with friends for a catch up. It was always welcoming, the staff lovely and coffee, milkshakes and food on offer great. However, sadly on the last three visits the standard has dropped and most disappointing is the language used by the male member of staff when there this week. This is not the clean, friendly and quality place it once was.

We've been coming here for years and never had to complain. It was the first time we came after covid. We were disappointed. The place was dirty. ( I have pictures)The coffee cups dirty. We were brought our water and they still didn't clean our table which had food on it from the previous people. It was cleaned only half way. Staff were not friendly ( some eating and drinking behind the till) we shall not return. What a shame!

This little place has a lot of potential, but it really needs a good clean!! Tables were dirty, the cake stand looked grubby, and we noticed rubbish on the floor by the bin, which is in full view of the customers! The fridge looked like it could really do with a good scrub! Shame. First and last visit I’m afraid

Well, this was a great recommendation. We popped in for a drink and decided to eat while there and were extremely happy we did. The staff were all friendly, chatty, and happy to help, and it created a great atmosphere. The food, one of the daily specials, and a Tuna Doorstep, drinks and service was spot on, and we are looking forward to passing again.

Popped in while passing when we were out for a walk from Barnwell to Oundle. Fantastic place, clean and welcoming, great atmosphere, huge selection of teas and other drinks too. We had a coffee which was perfect. We didn’t stop for food but the menu boards made us hungry, next time we will stop for longer and treat ourselves to some food too. First impressions we thought it was a small place but soon realised there were other rooms with seating in too, so plenty of space. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a coffee after a walk around the local. Lovely little place Nice coffee We didn’t have food, but some lovely looking choices on the menu boards. I would certainly recommend popping in in you’re in the area. Lots of atmosphere, tasteful decorated.

Really disappointed after our visit for brunch, I've been a few times before a and really enjoyed it but today will be the last. All the tables were dirty and full of used cups, it was cold, service was so slow which was surprising for the amount of people working although they were mostly kids. Food was ok although we were waiting a good 45 minutes, we had to return 1st meal as the poached eggs were hard, the young lad said the 2nd meal would only be a minute but it turned up 15 minutes after poached eggs on this weren't very soft but too hungry to return, it was then another 20 minutes for the 1st lot of food to come back. Coffee was good though. We also ordered some bubble tea to take away but only got half of the order and had to point this out. The place needs a really good clean as there was mould on the windows, I know it can't be helped but you would at least clean it.

Excellent service. We had the freshly baked scones along with jam and cream and it tasted absolutely delicious. My wife had an oat milk latte and I had a tea. The proprietor blends her own tea. I had an Assam brew which was just first class.

Nice food. Had poached eggs on toast, they had run out of muffins. My food arrived a few minutes before my friends which is why I gave 3 stars for service. Good coffee.

This was our first time at this cafe/restaurant. We always stop in Oundle for a break when driving across the country as it such a charming small town. We had noticed Brew Babu and had a morning coffee break. The cakes were amazing. They tasted as if they were prepared in a small artisan bakery, definitely not a mass produced offering. Tea was excellent, coffee was excellent and service was attentive and friendly. There is a comprehensive breakfast and lunch menu catering for different dietary requirements. The environment itself was quirky and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyable.

got a lot of potential and service was friendly but feels like it could do with a deep clean. Cakes were dry (old?) and coffee cup was a bit dirty.

I do not tend to contribute reviews but having a tea served with an hourglass is intensely satisfying. They live up to the 'brew' in their name.

We have gone to Brew Babu many many times over the past years. The service sadly seems to have been declining. This morning was particularly disappointing. We arrived there at 9.30 am and ordered tea and ham/cheese croissants. The cafe was about half-full. After waiting and waiting for our food, and having finished our tea (which was very weak for strong brew, and not particularly hot), we asked what was happening. We were told our food would be another 10 minutes (it was 10 am by now). We were offered another tea or coffee, but by this time we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. Having driven up all the way from Northampton, this was a very disappointing experience. I fear we may not go here again.

Absolutely love my regular visits to this coffee haven! The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, turning every visit into a delightful experience. The service is top-notch, making me feel right at home. The coffee is consistently fantastic, and the food offerings are a delightful accompaniment. It's my go-to place for a perfect blend of great atmosphere, friendly faces, and delicious treats. Highly recommend to all coffee enthusiasts!

Love this quickly little cafe. It's lunch time specials are worth hunting out as they are interesting and delicious. Coffee are fab and they have a licence!!! Decor is industrial and very on trend. Will definitely be back.

Had the Breakfast Bagel today.....delicious. Don't eat egg so they happily substituted producing a scrummy bagel dripping with melted cheese. Nicely complemented with a side salad that was drizzled with a tasty dressing. Of course, had my usual Americano to finish the experience. Staff always pleasant and helpful. This is the go to coffee shop in Oundle

Visited here for the first time today, and am sad I can't give them more stars!! Hubby had the Croque Monsieur and I had the Superfood salad with spicy chickpeas and Moroccan hummus - both plates were so full we didn't have enough room for dessert (so took them home instead😉) All the food was of a very high quality - add to that some good coffee and fab staff and you have a superb lunch!
