This gym closed abruptly permanently, Friday, 27 Nov. 2020. The landlord declined to renew their lease; however, the general manager withheld from the members the anticipated closure until the final day of business, when members received an email informing them of the abrupt closure. The landlord didn't inform the BSC on 27 Nov. 2020 that their lease will not be renewed and ordered them to vacate the gym. The BSC was informed well in advance of the landlord's decision to not renew their lease, yet this sleazy general manager failed to afford the members the courtesy of informing us of the imminent closure. As a 5 year member of this gym - as a gym rat - I was greatly offended and crushed by the unexpected closure. The members were exemplary and I thoroughly appreciated exercising among them.

Absolutely horrible management and service policy 😡 I will never join this gym again. First they will charge you 75$ yearly fees then they will charge you 20$ monthly feea When you will ask to cancel they will ask you to pay 10$ in addition to 45 days notice. (I bet it takes one click to cancel my subscription) I'm just plain disappointed in them for providing bare minimum equipments. Charging outrageous amount of money for personal sessions and no group classes are ever open and the one which are present at inconvenient times. I have paid way too much money already and I want to make sure whoever is thinking of joining this gym knows these facts.

The actual gym is okay, service is really bad. Told them 3 times to cancel membership before the next month, was assured that a note would be made and my membership would surely not be renewed. Well, next month, was charged for the membership again after having told them 3 times to cancel. Gives off the impression that it's really unorganized and that they couldn't care less about their clients. Would not recommend.

The manager guy is pretty rude, always get this condescending look from him. And it ruins my workout because hes right there when you walk in, in his office. Or he walks around like hes lookin to just reprimand a gym go-er. Older Cleaning guy creepily follows me and cleans machines behind me and ive tested it by moving around the gym. Very uncomfortable. Especially as a woman. Everybody else seems nice though trainers are the nicest. I really think they make the Gym half decent. BSC this is why your going bankrupt. Focus on customer service!

I chose this gym simply because it was close to work and not really for any other reason. Many of the comments on here are accurate. It is pretty dingy, the machines are old, there aren't really enough of the main machines (bikes, cross trainers) for working out in peak times. Really more focused on weights. There aren't many options for classes either but when I have gone to the instructors have been fine. I do remember one not turning up and after about 15 - 20 mins of waiting, the manager asking us if we could take it ourselves! Seemed like a pretty silly idea. The staff has always been perfectly friendly but the trainer was hard to get hold of. I'm currently pregnant and wanted to be careful with what exercises I did which is why i tried a trainer. But if you have the odd question about how to use a machine for example, there is no one to ask. All trainers are busy with their clients. I find this to be extremely unsafe and very annoying! Every time I asked about it they tried to up-sell more training sessions which is a ridiculous for one question. Every gym I have ever used before, no matter how cheap or expensive, has had someone who is available to take care of the floor. It is simply a matter of safety. I noticed a couple of people mentioned that they had trouble with their cancellation and were overcharged. I have just cancelled mine so I will be looking out for this. I have noticed that i have had no email to confirm this has gone through.

I cancelled gym membership in February because of relocating. I emailed the gym to cancel and the manager replied “ You have to give 45 days of notice and the cancellation fee is $10” They said you have to come in person to cancel. Therefore, I went to the gym at 6:10p.m. to cancel, The person who sat on the first floor was on the computer. “Are you the one who called and want to cancel the membership ?”he asked. I replied “ Yes”... After he has done. I asked him for a paper confirmation. He said the printer doesn’t work right now. I said can you email me the cancelation confirmation. He replied “ they will send confirmation email to you tomorrow because the office upstairs is closes.” ... it was until I few days ago I received a email from this gym, saying something about members. I called the gym, the front desk picked up and was nice. He said “ I am sorry to hear that. One time in my previous gym I also found out the gym kept charging me for a year and I didn’t know about it. I totally understand you. Let me talk with the manager. And he will call you back” I received a phone call the next day, the gym called me and said I will not give you any refund and I will charge you $99 now for cancelation. I was shocked. I called my bank and bank reported to me that besides monthly gym fee, they also charged me annal fee in January and Sep. The gym wasn’t even open during the epidemic. How come I get so much charges? Although I have email proof and the brochure when I tried the gym the first time in January that you can cancel anytime, but it will cost 10 dollars. Now they swiped another $ 99 for cancellation and charged me 8months more after I originally cancelled. Beside two times 69.99 ( random charges that is not listed when they first trying to let me join the gym) The gym website said it is ok to cancel the membership if you relocate and have to move. Now, when the gym called me, the person said. Because you are in a regional membership, you can’t cancel. I will charge you $99’ How could this gym full of scheme exist in the United States. I wonder if I don’t check my bank, will their Scheme in large without getting caught?

I am on the brink of suing, but reported them to the general attorneys office for violating consumer laws. I went in March with my girlfriend to cancel our subscription. Obviously it wasn't processed and both of us were charged in April. Once it become clear that gyms would be allowed to reopen in July we sent multiple emails and called the gym throughout June to cancel, which should've happened in March in the first place. Not a single response to any of our emails or calls. Promised return calls never happened. Obviously we were charged again in July. On July 20th we went to Fenway again and the manager Luis apparently pretended he cancelled our subscription while we were in the store for about 15min. Why pretended? My girlfriend was charged in August again. For my part I was able to freeze payments to the merchant via my bank. My girlfriends bank does not have that option available. We will go again today and if I don't get two months refunded I will sue. The attorney generals office is already investigating misconduct as news show. So something very odd is going on within this company. Yes, I feel bad for every business due to Covid and I truly hope they can rebound strongly from this, but I can't pay for something I don't want to use.

Company only cares about money not their customers. Charged me for use of the gym in March and April when you couldn’t use the gym because of covid. Their cancellation policy is a 45 day notice meaning they will charge you for 2 month still after cancelling. Was told they would waive my fees as I’m a healthcare worker and won’t be using the gym for a while (due to covid concerns), yet they still charged me for the next month. Still charged me my yearly membership fee after trying to cancel.have been paying for this gym for 5 months plus my yearly membership and haven’t been to the gym since February as I am a healthcare worker. Thought maybe they would offer some sort of refund (at least one the yearly fee since I won’t have used the gym a single time after getting charged that), they won’t. Terrible customer service. Hate when companies can’t just be a human and show some understanding or kindness

My wife was a member here and attempted to cancel her membership multiple times, but they just kept charging the card. When we complained they accused us of lying about having cancelled. When we presented written proof that she had cancelled, they said that they would "look into it" but never did anything. When we followed up they said the same thing and still never did anything. They eventually processed the third cancellation request but charged us for *next year's* annual fee as part of the cancellation and never did give us a refund for the several months from the first cancellation request until they finally cancelled the membership. I've called them roughly a half dozen times to request a refund but they just keep saying "we'll look into it and get back to you" then doing nothing. If you think you want to be a member here for the rest of your life then this place might be okay, but if you think you might ever have to cancel, be prepared for it to cost you several hundred dollars and several hours of your life to make that happen.

Frustrating experience to cancel/ billing. They have a period of 45 days after you cancel where they continue to bill you. The annual fee is a rip off and they billed the annual fee after I cancelled Super nice trainers and staff. The gym is good during off peak times

😐 A pretty decent gym. It won't blow you away but its one of the better ones in Boston.
