I
cancelled
gym
membership
in
February
because
of
relocating.
I
emailed
the
gym
to
cancel
and
the
manager
replied
“
You
have
to
give
45
days
of
notice
and
the
cancellation
fee
is
$10”
They
said
you
have
to
come
in
person
to
cancel.
Therefore,
I
went
to
the
gym
at
6:10p.m.
to
cancel,
The
person
who
sat
on
the
first
floor
was
on
the
computer.
“Are
you
the
one
who
called
and
want
to
cancel
the
membership
?”he
asked.
I
replied
“
Yes”...
After
he
has
done.
I
asked
him
for
a
paper
confirmation.
He
said
the
printer
doesn’t
work
right
now.
I
said
can
you
email
me
the
cancelation
confirmation.
He
replied
“
they
will
send
confirmation
email
to
you
tomorrow
because
the
office
upstairs
is
closes.”
...
it
was
until
I
few
days
ago
I
received
a
email
from
this
gym,
saying
something
about
members.
I
called
the
gym,
the
front
desk
picked
up
and
was
nice.
He
said
“
I
am
sorry
to
hear
that.
One
time
in
my
previous
gym
I
also
found
out
the
gym
kept
charging
me
for
a
year
and
I
didn’t
know
about
it.
I
totally
understand
you.
Let
me
talk
with
the
manager.
And
he
will
call
you
back”
I
received
a
phone
call
the
next
day,
the
gym
called
me
and
said
I
will
not
give
you
any
refund
and
I
will
charge
you
$99
now
for
cancelation.
I
was
shocked.
I
called
my
bank
and
bank
reported
to
me
that
besides
monthly
gym
fee,
they
also
charged
me
annal
fee
in
January
and
Sep.
The
gym
wasn’t
even
open
during
the
epidemic.
How
come
I
get
so
much
charges?
Although
I
have
email
proof
and
the
brochure
when
I
tried
the
gym
the
first
time
in
January
that
you
can
cancel
anytime,
but
it
will
cost
10
dollars.
Now
they
swiped
another
$
99
for
cancellation
and
charged
me
8months
more
after
I
originally
cancelled.
Beside
two
times
69.99
(
random
charges
that
is
not
listed
when
they
first
trying
to
let
me
join
the
gym)
The
gym
website
said
it
is
ok
to
cancel
the
membership
if
you
relocate
and
have
to
move.
Now,
when
the
gym
called
me,
the
person
said.
Because
you
are
in
a
regional
membership,
you
can’t
cancel.
I
will
charge
you
$99’
How
could
this
gym
full
of
scheme
exist
in
the
United
States.
I
wonder
if
I
don’t
check
my
bank,
will
their
Scheme
in
large
without
getting
caught?
