Wonderful beach! We were here in mid season, beautiful day, and there were maybe a dozen people here in totality. Literally miles of beach to walk on. Sandy beach almost everywhere.. some rocky parts, but in the water, all sand and one can walk out maybe 100 yards. There is food available at the beach and we had a couple of great experiences there.. fried seafood platter, fried fish sandwich, clam strips.. and lots of other choices. Food was great, service was as well. Picnic tables, inside or outside. One can walk down this beach and not see anyone for a mile.. peaceful, tranquil.. stillness. Water clean, and while we were there, quite calm. Perhaps there are big waves, but not when we were there. We liked the calm water. This is a peninsula of sorts, and there is a beautiful scene on the other side, of a bay and marsh.. beautiful place to watch the sunset, literally steps from the ocean beach .

Beautiful beach, possibly the best in the state. After May, the water temperature is just fine. Parking is only available in cash.

Been going to the beach since I was a kid. Perfect for a summer afternoon, or a winter walk. Beach sand can be deep, so if you’re driving on (need a sticker), make sure your car can handle it. At the very least, ask the beach guards, they’ll tell you areas your car will be ok. Bring a grill or fire pit (and pack up everything when you’re done…don’t litter), and enjoy the views. They’re hard to beat.

We visit this beach at least 3 times each summer. The beach is clean and the ocean is usually not to wavy. There are some stony parts on the beach and also some stones when you enter the water. This summer they refreshed the parking lot which is nice. The reason I took one star - I wish the actual facility ( restrooms, locker-rooms etc) could be renovated as well. Parking is $20 per day (cash).

This beach is so beautiful. It’s especially unique because there is the ocean on one side and pond on the other. In order to park in the actual beach you need a permit which is good to know! They have a lifeguard and the ocean side of the beach is superrrrr long. I was only there for a really short time during the pandemic but it was idyllic.

Beautiful beach, nice people - cold water. Looks very sharky. Reminds me of Jaws.
