We loved our tour of Boston. Cindy was an amazing tour guide. We learned so much, but at the same time you felt like you were walking around with a good friend. She was informed, prepared, professional all at the same time, relaxed, fun, and easy to connect with. We have been to Boston a few times, and have walked the freedom trail and read along the way. This was well worth it to have a guide, someone who brings history to life. I would do it again and again. I highly recommend it. Brian was awesome as well. He helped me choose which tour to take and always answered my emails, as well as reminder and follow up emails on where to meet and even a picture of Cindy so we could find her.. So thankful I found foot walking tours.. they are awesome

Very inexpensive. You " name-your-own-price, there is an optional $2.75 booking fee" or you can take a private tour with your friends and/or family. We did the Beacon Hill crime tour with Bart. All the grisly crimes and puritan shenanigans. For eg. You could get your ear chopped off for gossiping when the puritans ruled Boston. Very entertaining tour and so many options for fabulous restaurants in Beacon Hill after the tour.

We were on a private walking tour with Naomi. It was a Freedom Trail Boston tour. Naomi was very professional, patience. She has a very deep knowledge of Boston history. We enjoyed the time with her very much!

Choose Free tour by foot!!!! Thanks to our tour guide David P with whom we did Freedom Trail and Harvard/ Cambridge tours. We ( 2 adults and 3 children ages 13, 9, and 7) had a great time on every tour. David did a great job engaging everyone, adults and children, on the tour. He made sure we learned US history in fun way. Great experience! Thank you to David P who introduced us to Boston history.

Had an incredibly awesome tour of the Freedom Trail with our local guide Brian. Brian was extremely animated and passionate about the tour and the American Revolutionary history in Boston. He was able to teach us things about history that we didn’t know. Of course being free this tour is an incredible value, but you’ll be happy to tip what you can for such a fun and engaging experience.

I did the free walking tour of the Freedom Trail with Brian. Whilst he was energetic and passionate about his city, I found his constant yelling, jokes and side comments incoherent and exhausting. He speaks far too quickly and colloquially for even me, as a native English speaker, to follow so it's almost impossible for non-native speakers to understand (a fact which was confirmed by others in the group). If he slowed down and took into consideration the audience, perhaps so many people (including myself) wouldn't leave during the tour. Unfortunately on this occasion, I don't recommend this tour if you want to properly and clearly understand the history and culture of Boston. If you aren't a mother tongue English speaker, it's definitely not a good tour to go on.

Brian was a fabulous tour guy. He taught us many things and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed the entire thing even in the rain.

This was great! I bought three self guided audio tours in Boston, Freedom Trail, Beacon Hill and Harvard/Cambridge. I did all three of them yesterday and had such a lovely time. I have been to Boston a few times but this was the first time I really explored the area. The audio information was detailed without being boring. They also did a great job of creating the tour in an organized way that made sense to where you wanted to be when it ended. It was easy to follow. This was a great way to spend an entire day in Boston! I will. use this again when traveling to other places.

History of Boston tour led by Stephen today was informative and amusing - I highly recommend this tour to those wanting just a little more than the usual tourist offerings. Led by passionate, informed & entertaining guides - this tour is well worth a generous gratuity to the proud Bostonians who give their time to enrich our enjoyment of this beautiful city

I really enjoyed the story of Boston told along the freedom trail walking tour with Stephen. Even in the rain, we managed to see so much and learned so many interesting facts about Boston! Our guide was super knowledgable and had lots of good anecdotes. I loved that it was a wider history of Boston, all the way from the beginnings of the city to more modern day history. I recommend to anyone looking for a tour of this cool city.

I took the "THE STORY OF BOSTON TOLD ALONG THE FREEDOM TRAIL" tour with Stephen and it was fantastic! He was really engaging and throughly knowledgeable providing a great history lesson. As a first timer to Boston this was a brilliant way to learn about and look around such an important part of the city. Would thoroughly recommend!

Had a Boston tour by foot and our guide Dan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Dan made the tour very interesting and his passion for history really made the trip. Boston is a very rich with history and Dan does a great job communicating that.

Terrible app interface - virtually impossible to navigate between the map and audio. Also, very limited information on the Harvard tour.

Stephen was a fount of knowledge and made the tour most informative and enjoyable. It's a great way to get introduced to Boston in a short time.

Great walking tour of Boston - informative and entertaining. I highly recommend Free Tours by Foot, one of the best walking tours I've done, ever. Our guide Bob was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about local history, but also incredibly funny.

Stephen was our guide. He clearly put a ton of time and energy into researching each location we visited. The tour was the perfect mix of education and sightseeing. Highly recommend!

This was one of the absolute best walking tours I've been on around the world! Bob was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgable about everything, was really funny, and had answers to questions beyond the main subjects of the tour. I live in Boston and still learned so much from this tour. It should be an essential stop for anyone visiting the city!

If I were a wealthier man I would have given Stephen so much more money than I did. We gave $20 per person in our group for his tour, but it was worth hundreds! We learned exponentially more than we would have by doing the 'Freedom Trail' on our own. The nuances to that incredible history that were shared left me ( a US History teacher) flabbergasted and feeling incredibly lucky to have booked a tour with someone who would keep us laughing, gasping, and questioning. I will recommend Steven to all of families of my New Mexican student who tour Boston.

THE STORY OF BOSTON TOLD ALONG THE FREEDOM TRAIL was an awesome tour conducted by Stephen. He told many stories that I was not familiar with and I love history. Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend his tour highly!

We took several tours this past week in Boston. We took a crime tour with David and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so good and wonderful. 5 stars. Unfortunately, we took a tour with Brian and we could not tolerate it. We actually left within a hour. It seems he always drift away and it was just not appealing nor interesting as it was with David. No offense, Brian, just not a good fit for us. We wanted to get informed on the freedom trail and it seems like it was constantly going somewhere else. We lost interest. Thank you David for the good crime tour.

My father and I visited the New England states for 12 days at the end of April 2022. I booked several tours throughout the states and Brian’s Freedom Trail Tour in Boston was by far the best tour I experienced. I feel fortunate and so lucky that Brian led this tour. Brian’s dedication and passion is apparent. I enjoyed his visual aids, enthusiasm and wonderful stories. A tour of historical facts and information has the potential of being a bit dry but Brian’s delivery was exceptional and memorable. He has been leading tours for many years but his tour seemed like it was the first time for Brian because he was funny, engaging and the best. Because of my short time in Boston, I wanted a tour of the Beacon Hill and was too late to book a tour; therefore, I was able to download an audio of the tour and coincidentally it was written by Brian. Of course, so knowledgeable and top-notch was this tour. I cannot express how fantastic Brian is – I hope you are lucky to experience his tour. Leigh-Anne Locke Los Angeles, April 2022

Brian is the best tour guide you could hope for. He's extremely energetic, funny and engaging. We really enjoyed him and could tell the rest of our group did, too. Brian sent very detailed information on where to meet, how to get there, and how to find him once we were there. The tour was comprehensive and Brian really knows his stuff. I do wish we could have visited one of the old graveyards on the Freedom Trail, but that's personal preference. Really enjoyed it. Don't hesitate to book.

We went on the Freedom Trail walking tour with Brian and he did not disappoint! Brian is an energetic and passionate person who makes the 2 hr walking tour fun and interesting. He has a wealth of knowledge and is easy to listen to. I enjoyed hearing about the history and little side jokes about the people of Boston. I highly recommend Free Tours by Foot - just make sure to give your tour guide a donation/tip at the end since the tour is free!

Took a tour earlier today with Stephen. Considered the “more historic” tour in Boston but decided to do the slightly more offbeat walking tour. It was so great! Loved hearing some of the lesser-known history of Boston from such a clearly passionate guide. I would highly recommend this tour - it is a bit longer than some of the others, but well worth it.

Brian was an EXCELLENT, lively, animated & extremely knowledgeable tour guide! As soon as he arrived to the meeting spot, my husband said, "oh this is going to be good!" Being a tour guide isn't easy...especially in a City with so much history but Brian kept us captivated and involved! He included extra details from modern history as well that are cool to know (I won't spoil it!) You can't go to a place like Boston and pass on the opportunity to do this walking tour...it enriches the experience and you leave having a deeper appreciation for the City & the people that live there.

👍👍 We had such a great experience on the South End Sweet & Savory Tour! Alyssa packed the tour with not just some truly delicious bites, but also stories of the restaurants, their owners, and the history of Boston itself. We got way more than we bargained for, and had an amazing time!
