I
went
on
a
Grand
UK
Gold
tour
to
The
Manor
at
Cricket
St
Thomas
on
the
11th
to
15th
October.
I
have
been
unable
to
post
this
review
before
as
my
friend
and
I
came
back
with
Covid.
The
outward
journey
took
10
hours,
partly
on
a
feeder
coach.
We
didn't
get
our
welcome
reception
until
the
second
evening
as
we
were
so
late
arriving
and
had
to
be
rushed
to
the
dining
room.
The
hotel
rooms
were
lovely
and
clean
but
there
it
ended.
The
rooms
were
a
15
minute
walk
from
the
dining
room.
My
friend
is
disabled
and
had
asked
for
rooms
near
the
facilities.
There
were
no
rooms
at
all
near
the
facilities
and
at
no
point
was
she
told
this.
We
had
to
be
in
the
dining
room
for
8.30am
and
6.30pm.
If
we
were
late
the
dining
room
staff
told
us
so.
Although
Grand
Uk
paid
for
tea
and
coffee
with
our
evening
meal
we
didnt
get
it
unless
we
asked.
The
dining
room
service
was
appalling.
2
staff
were
polite
and
friendly
but
the
rest
of
them
had
an
uncaring
attitude
and
we
were
mostly
ignored,
we
were
in
different
places
every
morning
and
evening
which
made
it
difficult
for
our
tour
manager
to
find
us.
I
would
be
surprised
if
she
managed
to
get
a
meal
the
whole
of
the
week
she
had
so
much
running
around
to
do.
Our
trips
out
were
to
2
places
each
day,
which
left
us
with
two
hours
only
to
browse
at
each
place,
we
were
on
and
off
the
coach
like
ping
pong
balls.
By
the
end
of
the
second
day
we
were
exausted.
The
driver
Dave
and
tour
manager
Marion
were
lovely
and
did
their
best
for
everyone.
We
were
pleased
when
Friday
arrived
and
we
could
go
home.
The
return
journey
took
just
over
11
hours.
The
whole
experience
was
was
awful.
We
would
never
book
with
Grand
UK
again
and
most
of
the
people
on
the
tour
said
the
same
thing.
Sorry
for
all
of
this
negativity
but
if
it
saves
one
person
from
having
a
difficult,
though
costly,
holiday
this
post
will
have
been
worth
it
