Finding
it
impossible
to
make
an
appointment
with
my
GP
at
our
local
health
centre,
I
travelled
to
Norwich
to
the
walk-in
centre.
What
a
truly
fantastic
service!
I
was
seen
after
45
minutes
(a
perfectly
reasonable
waiting
time
in
the
early
evening,
when
the
centre
was
obviously
busy)
and
the
GP,
Dr
Popa,
couldn't
have
been
more
attentive
or
helpful.
She
diagnosed
the
problem
correctly
and
sent
a
prescription
electronically
to
my
local
pharmacy,
which
I
picked
up
the
following
morning.
Even
more
impressive,
she
asked
me
to
return
a
week
later
so
she
could
check
on
my
progress.
The
clinical
and
administrative
staff
are
all
very
helpful,
obviously
working
hard
to
deal
efficiently
with
a
large
number
of
patients.
It
occurred
to
me
that
this
should
be
the
model
for
all
NHS
GP
consultations;
no
missed
appointments,
GPs
free
to
give
each
patient
as
much
(or
as
little)
time
as
is
needed
to
diagnose
the
problem
and
prescribe
medication,
no
endless
waits
on
the
phone
to
one's
local
health
centre
trying
to
get
through
to
book
an
appointment,
only
to
be
told
that
none
is
available.
Many
thanks
to
all
the
staff
at
the
Norwich
Walk-in
Centre
for
a
brilliant
service!!!
