Found this Italian, hole in the wall restaurant. I cannot fully describe how wonderful this place is. Most authentic, fresh and most delicious Italian food I have ever had. I am Italian and it has been a struggle to find genuine Italian food until now. The atmosphere was inviting, warm and relaxing. Our waitress, Kathryn was kind, extremely helpful and attentive. Food was beyond compare. Prices were more than fair for the generous portions you get. We will definitely be returning.

This place has literally been here forever, which means they're doing something right in such a popular area. We ordered the Beef Bolognese and Lamb Lasagna. You know when you take your first bite of a dish and it tastes high quality, homemade, and is instantly comforting? That is what Cafe Veloce delivers. Don't expect a super fancy environment, which we liked since we came after work to celebrate my birthday. Jeans work great! We also ordered the lemincello martini and basil gin cocktail which were strong enough for us and SO delicious! The free bread and garlic spread was great and the chocolate cake was deliciously decadent, perfect for sharing.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we enjoyed it with our friends. All the pizzas we ordered were very good, esp the Lambretta chicken pizza. The Syrah (wine of the week) we had was smooth.

I'm a resident physician at UW and Cafe Veloce kindly delivered dinner to our whole ED staff last night. I set mine aside in the fridge and am just now enjoying it after night shift... their chicken scampi is AMAZING. 10/10 would order for curbside pickup in the future. Thanks to this clearly excellent restaurant for supporting our staff in the emergency room during the current crisis!

This Italian place is themed with differently than other restaurants. It has bikes 🏍 even at the front door there is statue which may not look like one if you don’t pay attention! To start with we got some Italian Strawberry soda, vanila soda for drinks which was amazing. For food we got Bruschetta, pesto garlic bread as appetizers - both turned out to be yummy 🤤. For main course we had Eggplant Parmesan, Primavera- Tricolor Spirelli Pasta, Lamb Parmesan and Chicken Scampi. Entire order was served piping hot and service was fantastic. The vibe of restaurant is good to have a nice outing and staff is welcoming and quick to get orders out of kitchen even on busy Friday night. I would highly recommend this place. Totally worth the price !! 😊

What a great place! Mikaelyn took care of us. She had great suggestions and was very attentive! We had the lemon cello spritzer, nice and refreshing! She brought us out their bread and an amazing compound butter!!! Enjoy the cards they are worth it. We had the Caprese Panini, and the meatball Panini and the pasta for lunch. (Sorry don’t remember the name of the past.pasta.) We sat on the patio. Will definitely be back for dinner. The wine selection looked amazing.

This is my favorite restaurant in the United States. Try the chicken scampi. As someone who has traveled extensively throughout Italy, it’s hard to fault anything on this menu. The staff is wonderful, and have bent over backwards to make the outdoor seating during the Covid nonsense work as well. Great bread, nice wine, spumoni. I just love this restaurant.

Wonderful place and one of the best places to eat in the Kirkland area. Food is always rich and flavorful no matter what you order and there is a good selection with emphasis on pasta and pizza. The interior is has a good mixture of dark wood and motorcycles and even a fireplace. You get a nice warm family feeling when you are here. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about menu items from food to wine. Has both good wine and beer selections. Parking can be difficult every now and then, but usually you can find a spot. Most of the time you get right in, but there has been a couple of times we had a bit of a wait. Not more than 10 minutes. Best dish to me their Beef and Gorgonzola.

Great food, great service. That’s a place you should visit. I was there during my business trip and was served like a party of four or more. I had a salad with ham (don’t remember the name) and it was delicious. Recommend y’all visit this gorgeous restaurant.

This is one of our favorite restaraunts in Kirkland! The food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. They make very authentic Italian sishes that always hit the spot. We took home a bottle of home made Limoncello last night. Such a treat!

An old school Italian family restaurant. The motorcycle racing decortheme is fantastic and I love looking at all the old photos of bikes and races. The main menu items are pasta with sauce. Pizza is decent too. The portions are big and so is the wine & cocktail list. Going here is a good choice for a family or group. There's something for everyone.

I highly recommend the fettuccine alfredo here. It comes with the perfect amount of spice and flavor which is usually missing in this dish. We also got the margherita pizza but it was too oily and didn’t feel like a margherita. The cheesy garlic bread with the marinara is just the perfect accompaniment. The cocktails here are strong and have some great flavor. Overall, loved the service, atmosphere and the food.

I love Cafe Veloce. I usually get the motto pizza and even though it’s a reasonably sized pizza I eat the whole thing because it’s delicious. The bread they bring to the table is fantastic. I also recently tried the gnocchi in pink sauce and that is so good it is going to be a regular buy for me now!

  • 5/5 Jinny H. 4 years ago on Google
I really enjoy this cozy place. They have wine flight tastings on Mondays and it's always some of the best wines ever. I am also not a big fan of marinara sauce but Cafe Veloce has the best...I can't get enough. I usually get pasta dishes at Italian restaurants but I decided to try a pizza and it was delish. Their calamari is to die for. The best comfort food with the nicest servers. I highly recommend trying it out here.

Came here for my birthday and wanted to try something new. I love seafood, so I had the Clam Giulio pasta. It was beyond delicious. Their tiramisu "pick me up" was a wonderful way to end dinner.

First time visit and I was impressed. It was a cozy and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. I went during lunch and there was a good selection of items on the lunch menu. I got the meatball Giuseppe and was very impressed. First of all it was easy to eat because the meatballs were sliced (!)The bread was toasted with pepperoni, mozzarella and some pesto. It came with marinara to dip the sandwich in. That marinara sauce is probably the best marinara sauce I have ever tasted. It came with a side salad or soup. I got the minestrone soup and it was very tasty as well but you literally only get 1 cup (8 oz) of it...it was too small.

I've been going here for about 2 years now and while the food is fine and it's family friendly, they always seem to be understaffed. From the time you sit down to the bread delivery is often 20+ minutes. Then they'll come take your drink order and you wait another 20 minutes. From then, the actual food seems to come quickly, but twice I've had to send my daughter's broccoli side back because it was cold. I really want to be able to rave about this place, but my experience over time has always been mediocre. They do have a good wine selection though!

A hidden gem! Went there for a team dinner yesterday. Got the Caprese and Bruschetta for starters, then the Pasta Primavera for the Entre. Everything was cooked to perfection. I am writing the review a day after we went there, and I can still feel that taste and crave for it even more! Portions were large, but for a very reasonable price. Service, ambiance, food everything was just perfect! And this coming from a person who doesn't consider Italian food to eat often, says something about this place. I am telling everyone I know about this place, and urging them to go!

This is a family Italian restaurant. You'd call it "comfort food" but it's good comfort food, a great Italian wine list and some house pour that always seems to be entirely decent, for a remarkably low price. The only problem with this restaurant is that a bazillion other people also know about it, and go there at the same time. It's going to be busy, morning, noon, and nighty-night-night.

Been coming here for years and love this place. Good Italian food, very much of the comfort food variety. Decent wine selection and not super expensive. The decor is cool with cafe racers on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The wait staff is good (some great, some not). Always a solid choice.

Great place that's been around for 27yrs. Staff is very friendly and attentive, prices are good for the overall package. Great wine selection. Delicious food. Real coffee (dark roast, bold flavor, tasty). Definitely recommend coming here. PS: sorry about the pics, we were anxious to eat.

Generic, greasy and bland take on very Americanized Italian menu. Good beer on tap, and lots of seating for larger groups.

  • 3/5 Cindy F. 4 years ago on Google
TLDR: almost like Red Robin for adults but with pasta instead of burgers. A bit on the spendy side. Dimly lit at night and relatively quiet dining area (at least on a Monday night). They do have a cool fire place that you can sit near. Cool motorcycle decor. This would be a good place to sit at to sip wine and chit chat over dinner. Not very romantic though. Menu has a LOT of wine and alcohol choices right up front. Entrees are a bit on the spendy side and have helpful brief descriptions. Complementary bread and garlic butter. Bread is served cold but the garlic butter is tasty and smooth. Bread is tasteless without the butter. Mediterranean: very nice tang with the tomato sauce but it can be heartburn inducing with all that sour and carbs. I'm a big fan of the shell pasta. I had the pepperocinis on the side and I'm glad I did because boy where those not a tolerable level of spice. It was pretty much a straight up pickled jalapeno! This dish has a generous proportion and I took over half in left overs--also might be because I had Italian sausage added into it.

We really enjoyed Cafe Veloce. Excellent wines by the glass and a variety of regional selections that were true to the cuisine of Northern Italy. The Eggplant Parmesan and Meatballs were highlights. We look forward to returning to try their pizzas and the Beef Bolognese.

I didn't know about this place but then I saw the reviews and realized it was popular. It's mostly seafood pasta (maybe just seafood pasta?) so if you're into that then this is place for you.

Such a great hidden gem. Great waitstaff and love love love the food!

  • 4/5 Kisaol K. 3 years ago on Google
Dungeness scallopini is amazing! Giving it a 4 star because the chef is not consistent. Sometimes the seafood is overcooked but most time it’s not. Lately the bread is dry, cold, and plain but it use to be slightly toasted with melted seasoned butter (even with pick up orders). The quality depends on who the chef is but the flavors are worth every inconsistency.

For a recent trip to Kirkland, I swung by Cafe Veloce, they had a good thin crust gluten free pizza and selection of wine. It appears their pasta selection can be subbed for Gf pasta as well. I highly recommend trying the Spice Cider Totti as nice warm alternative. Their vintage motorcycle decor was very appealing, albeit very new. I'm sure I will be back.

This is our second time visits and still good as usual! Our favorite is Scallop Beirre Blanc. white wine cream source is not too salty and it’s perfect to dip with the crispy toast bread. However, the spaghetti on the Gino is kind of overcooked but the flavor of the combination on clams/ mushrooms/ Italian sausage was great! The Shrimp scampi was good, shrimps are cooked perfectly and the fettuccine pasta was not overcooked. The service was very good that makes you feel like home :) highly recommended!

This is purely on the pizza as takeout, nothing else. The pizzas seem to be hastily made, you can see the toppings aren't exactly evenly distributed and weirdly light on the basil for the moped. The crust is pretty generic, nothing noteworthy, not bad, but not good. They don't cut slices evenly or thoroughly, so several had to be ripped off. The toppings seem high quality, I enjoyed the sausage and they are generous with cheese. Overall, you're honestly better off with a frozen pizza at a third the price and similar time investment.

  • 3/5 Hope A. 7 months ago on Google
Food was ok. Some dishes like pizza was good. However we paid extra for GF and added chicken but didn't get it in there. I'm gluten sensitive and couldn't eat more than two bites and no chicken is just disappointing. Double check your order if you pick it up. Worst part? It was written on the led!

  • 3/5 John G. 7 months ago on Google
We had the lambretta chicken pizza and the lamb lasagna. The food was ok, but not awesome. For instance I found that the chicken in the pizza was a bit dry and also the crust wasn’t my favorite. The lasagna was better though I would have liked some more lamb in it. Service was OK no major complaints but it felt that they didn’t pay attention to small things that could have enhanced our experience. As an example, the place was cold with the AC on and had to wear our jackets (most customers did), the waitress acknowledged but didn’t try to mitigate.

This is a gem of an Italian place in totem lake Kirkland. Rarely do I think that meals are fairly priced, but this place is it. You get decent portions, amazing drinks, and delicious meals. I love their limoncello spritz and shrimp scampi. Cafe Veloce truly exudes the essence of the Italian spirit. Will be back again!

Amazing service, and great food. Our server was very attentive, and frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was well. While the food tasted great and is worth the cost, it was not what I would classify as amazing. Each dish was missing a detail or two, such as the noodles being a hair too overcooked, or the Bolognese being too tomato heavy. Likewise with the tiramisu, a little heavy on the chocolate drizzle. Overall a great experience, and a restaurant I would return to.

  • 5/5 Kelly D. 11 months ago on Google
Great and friendly service. The place was full, but plenty of help inside and on the patio. The garlic cheese bread and sauce was fantastic, as was the bolognese (my wife and I split) and pizza ( my son gave us a piece). Only one kind of “by the glass” red blend wine but it was good enough for a second. Now they’ve gone and done it… I have to go back and try the lasagna and everything else!

I ordered take out and i stated no feta cheese on my order and all it had was feta cheese, the person did not understand what i said and tried to blame me waste of my money. I thought i liked the place but if your people cant understand people with different accent they should be taught to communicate better. I had to spell out feta cheese for her.
