Soul is a truly special place. Although slightly off the “beaten track”, this hidden gem serves vegan pastries and high quality savoury snacks and lunches. The company’s motto, is to promote healthy and inclusive eating for everyone. Owned by Vanessa and Thiago, the Brazilian couple are always ready to greet you with a smile and provide professional e attentive service. The food speaks for itself. With most things on the menu sourced seasonally and locally whenever possible. As an example, in their bakes, you can find locally grown berries, fermented goods such as kombucha comes from a local workshop, naturally fermented “sourdough” bread from the acclaimed Norre Bakery and locally brewed beer from Clã. Your visit will be worth it.

Soul is a must-visit for anyone in or passing through Braga, Portugal, especially for those with dietary restrictions (vegans, celiacs, lactose intolerant folks). The space itself has a cozy and joyful atmosphere, made even more pleasant by the incredibly warm owners. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is delicious. In the mood for a salty snack? The cheese bread is amazing. Something sweet? Their rotating menu has included some of the most tasty desserts I’ve ever had - banoffee pie, lemon tart, brownies, etc. etc. Their lunch food is fantastic as well - healthy and delicious. Soul is the perfect name for this spot — the food and the environment feel soulful - made with particular care. Highly recommend!

It is a hidden gem in Braga the food here was delicious and healthy! It is tucked away in the back of a gallery and staff were super attentive and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere. 👍

Loved the service and the food options. They had just run out of the quiche we wanted to try but my hummus and mushroom toast was amazing. Homemade hummus which was light and fresh. A great salad also and their desserts are some of the best vegan desserts I've had. There is a bathroom there and some seating but there is no outside seating. The lighting is a little artificial and they don't have as many warm and cozy lightings so the place isn't quite as romantic but still quite cozy to relax in. The staff was super nice - very helpful and looked like they enjoyed their work. It's at the back of a hallway but there should be a sign outside. Wonderful vegan spot which I'd recommend checking out while in Braga. It's a good location too because you're in front of the park and can walk on the long sidewalk with a lot of shade.

We didn't like it. The cakes were dry, without any flavour, bland to the taste of powdered yeast. The prices were not displayed next to the products but on a high panel (in the end you don't know what you're ordering!) The atmosphere does not make you want to stay there to eat, we took a takeaway, €10 for two small cake without flavours. We will not come back.

Unbelievable vegan food. So flavorful and filling. Hard to believe it’s vegan. We had a wonderful pumpkin soup, a mushroom curry, and cookies fresh from the oven that were out of this world. Must try!

Very nice cafe. We have lovely soup, a brazilian style cheese balls, a very tasty savoury cake and two types of quiche. Lovely owners. And all gluten free. The coffee was perfect too.

Delicious food. We were there for Gluten Free food not because of the vegan options but the food was great with different options. Friendly staff!

Wir wurden sehr nett bedient, obwohl es schon kurz vor 18:00 Uhr war. 😊. Leckere „Golden milk“.

An amazing hideaway from the busy city vibes with delicious vegan food including ice cream. You even get gluten- and sugarfree options in a welcoming and cozy ambiente. On top the price is totally reasonable. And when I thought it couldn't be any better I noticed the pet friendly sign with joy ...

Nice petite vegetarian place with vegan and gluten-free options in the city center. We took two good cappuccinos with oat milk (there was no soy milk). Friendly service :)

We each had the brunch menu our first time we went to Soul, and it was definitely the best vegan brunch I've had so far. So much flavour in one meal! And I'd never had that sort of savory cake before either - wish I could have the recipe! It was a good size of meal too, and we definitely weren't hungry for a long time after that! We came back another day for lunch and we had the leek quiche (which was absolutely delicious), and the bowl which had rice, mushrooms, hummus, and roasted vegetables. I only wish my quiche was bigger, so I could enjoy it's flavours for longer! They also had some very nice local bottled beers to choose from (I had the IPA) and really enjoyed it, very refreshing. And just before we left, we bought a couple of the lovely ice lollies they have there. There's a variety of flavours. They were very tasty, juicy and refreshing. Just what we needed before going back into the heat of the sun! The owners/staff were absolutely delightful to us with every interaction, and were very patient of our complete lack of Portuguese, and they were able to explain things to us sufficiently in English. The place is fairly small and quaint, and is nicely decorated, and on both visits we enjoyed the chilled out music that was playing softly in the background. In conclusion, wonderful place, delicious food, lovely staff, and great to see so many cruelty-free options available. What more could you want? 💚

Wonderful and cozy vegan cafe. We found it while visiting Braga and we only had a couple of cappuccinos but the place and its atmosphere is really cozy. The service was also great and we were welcomed with a smile! Definitely a recommended stop if you are vegan, next time I'll definitely try some food as well since everything looked delicious!

Small, little gem near Braga city centre. Amazing cafe serving healthy vegan meals prepared from scratch. I tried their vegan quiche, which was absolutely perfect, served with salad and sweet potato chips. I also tried their desserts , and you can opt for some sugar-free options All really delicious and very warm , hospitable staff The place needs just a bit of warm vibe and atmosphere.

Fantastic food, drinks, and service! It's really nice as a traveler to have gluten free and vegan options. Even better when those options taste great!

Great place! Although, when I go there next time I hope it will be a bit warmer inside, I got cold. Also a few real plants and warm-white lights would be a good add-on.

One of the few (if not the only one) vegetarian restaurant in Braga. We were served by a very nice staff and we really enjoyed the food. They've also got a great assortment of glutenfree cookies and pastries.

I love the lunch with vegan bowl and blue berry juice very much. Simple but very good. I feel very satisfied therefore I also want to try their Neapolitan tart and coffee latte. The tart is excellent with good texture for all layers. (Total bill 14.8 euro) When I stayed in restaurants, local kid came with his mother, while elderly couple came to buy ice cream. It makes me recall one of my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Hong Kong. I hope more people can come and enjoy their good food :) I plan to try pancakes and ice cream tomorrow haha It is in a very small shopping mall. Don’t miss the shop at number 162 Av. Central
