I highly do not recommend! A basement with a terrible noise from the street, along which cars constantly drive, people walk and see half of your room, above you there is a cafe in which people walk and creak chairs. Not in the description: basement room it is not indicated that it is very noisy from the street and cafe visitors from above that the apartment is in a hostel It is impossible to sleep in this place and it is unpleasant to be. There are much nicer places in the port for the money. Don't ruin your city experience and don't mess with this place. Not worth your money at all.

The highlight is the garden and the family feel of the whole common areas. Excellent kitchen where random guests (who?? 😀) cook delicious food for other guests. Very familial and friendly hostel

Very good hostel. Nicholas and the lady after him are very kind and good hosts. Bed is spacious. Common area is also good. You need to book breakfast a night before to get discount. Breakfast is good, bread butter jam cheese juice milk coffee fruits etc.

Nice hostel. Good location, rooms are good + with curtains on beds. Can’t access kitchen or reception after midnight though. / bonus point: there’s a cat in the garden.

This hostel is clean, quiet but strict. If you are in Porto for party or socialising this is the wrong place. It’s more for older and working people. You can’t enter the kitchen or common areas after 12 pm. Everyone is for themselves. U can’t take anyone inside, u need to clean up your pan immediately. The rooms are clean and okay but the bathrooms are very small.

Central location, I could visit everything by foot without using public transports. Friendly and professional Staff. Very clean place, respecting covid precautions. Amazing and comfy "capsules" that made me feel not sharing the room with the others. Finally, nice common areas (with Netflix, PS4) with a garden and bar that is a real gem in the middle of the city.

Great place to stay I was travelling with my bike though Spain & Portugal and ended up in Porto This hostel was a great choice Everyone I met who’s working there was really nice and helpful at all times The outside area and the garden is beautifully decorated The rooms are nice the beds comfy and sue to the curtains there’s as much privacy as you could possibly have in a shared room with 8-12 beds Loved my stay Thanks Oliver

Okay, so, it’s not a horrible stay, but it’s far from a 5 star. Most important: I hardly got any sleep for my four nights. The street is very noisy! They should definitely get better windows to help block the sound. Rooms get really hot, really fast. Each bed has a fan, which really doesn’t do much - should get ac. The beds are kinda rocky, so I woke up many times when the top bunk moved. The whole compound just gets really noise - you can hear all from the stairway. I did like the privacy curtains and the hostel cat. The place was over all clean, but I never saw it cleaned in depth. Very superficial. My bed had long black hairs underneath the bedding, and lots of small hairs etc next to the mattress. I missed more of a hostel feel, and missed having more tours, guides etc - there’s a vague board with info, but pamphlets etc had been good. My flight got delayed so I was due to arrive just before midnight. I wrote this and got a comment back that late check-in should be told 24 hours in advance. How do I plan for a delayed flight?? They didn’t offer much of a solution. I got help from a local and found a faster way to get there on time. It’s not a bad stay - but I expected more for the price.

I liked the location. Quiet street but short walk to the city center. Everything is clean but breakfast was not the best. Opt out and have it somewhere else. The place is super clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great hostel. Really comfy bunk beds that have their own privacy curtains, light and plug. 4 bunks to each dorm, that have ensuite bathroom in them. Very helpful staff. Happy to give advise on things to do in Porto. I did my own breakfast but you can get it included. I thought it looked ok. €5.00 for bread rolls, ham,cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, spreads, juice, and coffee.Convenience store just across the road. Location of hostel is great. One street back from shops and restaurants. Great garden outside to relax in….when it’s not raining. Laundry service available

Sehr schönes Hostel mit super netten Leuten. Mit tollem Service. Gegen eine kleine Gebühr kann man seine Wäsche waschen lassen, was wirklich schnell geht. Abends um 20Uhr abgegeben, lag die Wäsche am nächsten Tag auf meinem Bett. Wäre auch schneller gegangen, aber ich sagte ihnen, dass es Zeit hat. Das Frühstück ist auch gut. Man kann am Tag vorher auf einer Liste ankreuzen, was man möchte. Änderungen sind morgens trotzdem möglich. Man hat das Gefühl gut aufgehoben zu sein. Sie versuchen alles einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Sie geben auch Tipps, wo man günstig essen kann, was man besichtigen sollte usw. Das alles ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Ich kam nach meinem Camino ziemlich fertig an. Man zeigte mir mein Bett im Obergeschoss. Als ich fragte, ob unten etwas frei wäre lief der gute Mann sofort los, checkte das und ich bekam tatsächlich ein Bett in der unteren Etage. Vielen vielen Dank dafür. Wenn meine neuen Pläne wahr werden komme ich wieder nach Porto und werde dann definitiv hier wieder absteigen Klare Empfehlung von mir. 👍🏻

Super liebes Team, großes Zimmer mit Safe, Vorhängen und eigener Steckdose. Das Badezimmer was zum Zimmer gehörte war groß und die Dusche wirklich gut! Soziales Miteinander und liebe Leute. Der Aufenthaltsbereich könnte etwas gemütlicher gestaltet sein, aber es wird sich große Mühe gegeben. Würde wiederkommen, jedoch ist der Preis schon stolz

I really enjoyed the stay at Urban Garden. The original style of bunkbeds is what caught my attention. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The level of security is high here, so no things got lost, people were very thoughtful too. The lockers are low on the ground, underneath the bed, a bit unpractical, but good enough. Depends on the room, mine had windows to the street - it was a bit noisy at times. Otherwise the location is great! Close to the city centre, right next to a metro station and to a large square. The garden is a great place to socialise, work or just chill in the hammocks. Its also great for cat lovers - they keep roaming around.

My stay at "Urban Garden Porto Central Hostel" was a definite five-star experience. I found it to be excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. The rooms were not only nice but also impeccably clean. The staff, consisting of Nicolas, David, Ishwan, Sofia and her friendly colleague (apologies for not recalling the name), were all incredibly kind and helpful. Special recognition goes to Manager Julien, who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Hosts were wonderful! Julian and David’s worked with me with everything I needed and were friendly throughout. Julian recommended a restaurant and helped us get a booking. I highly recommend this hostel while staying in Porto as it was clean, a good atmosphere and an excellent location.

Great location near the center. Very attentive and helpful staff. Comfortable dorm room with sufficient space for luggage. Nice balcony that helped with airflow into the room. Nice little bar and pretty garden space to unwind.

Good location and good staff, also has a lovely garden and you can use the kitchen which has enough cooking equipment to make your own meals.

An amazing hostel! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The rooms, furnishings and the entire building is well maintained and cared for. They have great security measures in place and great systems for sharing and cooperative use of the facilities. I love it here!

Very clean, friendly staff and owner. Lost my "key" on the first day already, which wasnt a big deal. Bed with curtains, which is cozy and has more privacy . The garden is amazing, breakfast included, but nothing special. Def would come back!

The staff is super nice and helpful, I really enjoyed the back yard garden with all the fruit tree and the cool cat. Definitely recommend the studio if it’s available!

The common garden is lovely, cozy and comfortable. Lots of shade under the fruit trees where to rest on hammocks, or on the couches, or on the outdoor bar, or in the grass. A++ for hospitality, Davide especially was super welcoming, friendly and available, he made my stay a lot of fun! Thank you guys!

Ich war sehr sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und hilfsbereit . Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber. Das Bett ( Kapsel) fand ich genial , weil ich jederzeit den Vorhang zuziehen konnte. Die Lage ist sehr zentral . Jeder muss aber wissen , es ist ein Hostel , kein 5 Sterne Hotel . Und wer gerne mit anderen Menschen zusammen lebt oder wohnt , dem wird es gefallen .

I had a wonderful time in the hostel and met great people there. The staff is super friendly and welcomes you with open arms so it was really easy to connect. The location is perfect, as you can get to any place by foot. I highly recommend staying there.
