St Bernards is our second home. Been visiting this gem since I was a child now we bring our kids here. It's rustic, adventurous and an easy going environment. Lots of activities for all to enjoy. 4x4, horse riding, hiking, swimming, bar fires, wildlife and more. Love it!

Excellent stay for anyone wanting to get away from it all with family and friends. Ian & Sheri are excellent hosts. 3 meals a day what more could you ask for. We will be back for New Years bash and maybe sooner.

We love visiting St Bernards Peak Lodge - great friendships made, delicious meals, a fabulous place to just unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We back again in October and again in December. Terrific value for money!

Spent the weekend there with 7 other ladies on a crochet retreat and basically almost had the lodge to ourselves. It was great to see the renovating that has already been undertaken since February 2023, and it will be even better to see it when it has been completely refurbished by Brad and Sarah-Jane, the new owners of the lodge. The drive there from PMB was quite long, and the dirt road that ultimately takes you to the lodge was very bumpy in places, but it was very scenic, especially since there was snow on the surrounding mountains.

Very rustic but has lots of character for the young and older people who just want to chill ,have fun by riding horses fishing for trout and bass or short and longer hikes and of course a well stocked bar and lots of tasty meals and tea through the day. Many thanks Ian

A fabulous country hotel. We went in a big group and had the place to ourselves. An excellent getaway for a group of mates celebrating anything ! Food was excellent. Very country and basic . Good old fashioned venue with great owners.

Very peaceful. Nice wildlife and birds. The ablution block in the campsite needs a bit of TLC. However we will definitely return in the future.

Only had a quick stop over, but it’s an Awesome setting, so peaceful , friendly staff, divine hamburger and then we had to leave. Lovely pool and gardens . Like all places , these days, needs a bit of the usual maintenance, but very spacious . Reminded me of the lodges in πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§.

Brad & Sarah-Jayne are the new owners who made us feel most welcomed with our last minute booking. The lodge is well situated with beautiful views & is the perfect place to get away if you are in need of somewhere to stay in the mountains. Bedrooms have fireplaces and are clean, warm & spacious. Lots of family activities to do, put put, swimming & horse rides. Fully stocked bar & amazing food. Our stay was lovely. All the best on your new venture Sarah & Brad. Clean and spacious.

Beautiful setting, great value for money camping. Camp site has one or two electric points, a kitchen with an old fridge, and fairly rustic, unpretentious ablutions with fantastic donkey showers. Brilliant hosts and plenty to do for all ages. Thanks for a relaxing and fun getaway. (The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that some may find the ablutions and kitchen run down, though this did not detract much from our recent experience and should not put anyone off.)
