Their
website
put
on
their
options
of
how
to
get
there,
to
go
by
local
taxi.
I
had
no
idea
what
that
meant
and
thought
it
was
a
proper
option.
I
wanted
to
go
straight
to
Lesotho
as
it
was
the
harder
trip
and
then
end
in
sani
lodge
at.
I
arrived
at
Pietermaritzburg
by
baz
bus
and
waited
from
9am-2
pm
to
leave.
They
finally
arrived
in
Lesotho
at
4.30
and
allowed
all
the
Africans
on
the
Lesotho
taxi
but
told
me
they
were
full.
Thankfully,
one
guy
who
was
there
before,
moved
over.
They
yelled
and
screamed
for
45m
and
sped
up
in
the
dark
just
before
the
border
closed.
They
arrived
at
the
top
and
said
‘out’
10
minutes
before
they
were
ready
with
my
passport.
There
were
95kmh
hour
winds
and
I
got
a
shock.
The
border
dropped
me
to
sani
mountain
lodge.
This
journey
took
11
hours.
Arriving
at
the
bottom
(to
sani
lodge)
by
shuttle
would
have
taken
2
and
everyone
goes
up
from
there.
But
I
couldn’t
have
known
that.
When
I
was
done
in
Lesotho,
I
told
them
I
was
coming
for
3
nights.
I
told
them
what
happened
to
me,
the
wife
realised
they
charge
as
much
as
a
shuttle
for
that
horrid
journey
and
said
she
might
take
it
off
but
Russel
was
rolling
his
eyes
saying
it’s
another
way
to
get
there
and
he
needs
to
put
out
that
information!
It’s
scary
and
dangerous
for
a
woman
alone.
They
said
Saturday
was
be
tricky
but
they’d
sort
something.
When
the
hostel
was
half
full
they
made
me
change
rooms
3
times
the
first
2
nights.
I
never
could
wake
up
and
just
get
on
with
my
day.
There
were
no
phone
plugs
only
in
the
kitchen
which
wasted
time.
I
left
for
a
hike
on
an
unmarked
trail
and
didn’t
know
where
to
turn.
I
contacted
them,
Russel
the
owner
kept
trying
to
call
my
WhatsApp
when
signal
was
bad
and
I
had
to
say
over
and
over
to
call
my
phone
and
I
had
called
but
airtime
ran
out.
After
1.3
hours
he
finally
called
to
say
I
should
turn
around
when
I
was
halfway-
no
way!
I
completed
the
hike
and
crossed
from
where
I
was
even
thought
it
was
too
high
up
as
he
couldn’t
explain.
I
shouldn’t
have
waited
to
hear
that
from
a
guy
who
thinks
a
local
taxi
is
fine,
but
I
can’t
finish
a
hike.
On
Saturday
they
put
me
somewhere
off
the
property
which
was
hard
to
get
to
in
the
dark
and
by
then
I
was
so
angry.
I
should
have
left
the
day
before.
It
meant
that
I
had
to
wait
till
10
and
I
was
already
insulted
being
moved
for
the
4th
time.
There
was
no
WiFi
making
it
difficult
to
even
enjoy
speaking
to
a
friend
when
I
needed
to.
They
wouldn’t
lock
the
cottage
but
had
the
nerve
to
put
my
toiletries
back
which
were
drying
in
a
case
which
contained
other
things
like
medication
and
mosquito
bands
and
the
shampoo
was
open!
I
messaged
him
and
he
responded
with
‘shame,
bad
things
follow
you
everywhere’.
No
its
nasty
people,
who
can’t
do
anything
I
ask
like
lock
a
door
where
others
have
valuables,
but
can
interfere
with
my
belongings.
They
said
it
was
due
to
only
having
groups
(incorrect),
but
it
doesn’t
explain
the
first
3
room
changes
when
the
place
was
half
empty.
Not
every
single
person
there
was
in
a
group
and
booked
ahead.
They
lie
about
everything,
saying
they
locked
the
door.
Thankfully
they
got
rid
of
the
ants
in
the
cottage
and
put
a
light
in
the
bathroom.
They
said
I
should
be
glad
for
the
upgrade!
An
upgrade
I
never
wanted,
wrecking
my
morning,
is
no
upgrade.
He
could
have
upgraded
2
people
travelling
together
or
arriving
the
day
it
was
getting
full,
and
not
move
me
again.
Other
SA
guests
were
horrified
when
they
heard
I
took
a
local
taxi
-as
they
would
never-
and
were
shocked
it
was
on
the
website.
Other
staff
and
travellers
in
Lesotho
thought
it
was
dangerous
and
reckless
and
that
if
I
told
them
what
happened
they
would
remove
it.
I
wished
I
wasn’t
travelling
alone
so
I
wouldn’t
have
been
moved
4
times
during
a
3
night
stay.
It’s
not
my
bad
luck,
it’s
peoples
disrespect
when
someone
foreign
is
travelling
alone,
and
had
an
unfair
experience
previously
and
they
think
that
person
can
just
be
treated
anyhow.
I
could
see
the
bad
signs
when
they
disregarded
the
taxi
issue.
