It is a remote and beautiful place, with stylish and modern designs, inside and out. It's a relaxing, peaceful Guesthouse, that truly exceeded all my expectation. Situated in the countryside, between farming communities, I really didn't expect a luxurious stylish atmosphere like that. Definitely worth a stay when you're that side of the country. Can't wait to go a relax there again!!

A hidden gem in the orange Free state! I can write a book about Donsveertjie... I was welcomed to the Donsveertjie family with a smile since day one. Staying there for 3 years I saw the effort that was made from the Donsveertjie family to accommodate their guest. The hospitality, peacefulness and farm experience is only to be experienced at Donsveertjie and the owners will always find a way to help you as their guest. In my 3 years I saw beautiful weddings, functions and the effort to maintain this awesome venue. I can recommend the bush venue to any new couple on their search for a wedding venue. After a long and busy day ,there is always Die Skeerstoor to serve you with a cold one waiting for you. I would recommend Donsveertjie to anyone from sleeping over on your route or to have an unforgettable wedding or just for a peaceful get away from the city noise. If you are passing Heilbron make sure to stop there and experience the Donsveertjie feeling for yourself. Hats off to the Donsveertjie family , working as a well oiled machine to please the guests. Donsveertjie is a place where friends meet and leave as family

We had a nice room with a jacuzzi/whirlpool bath. Nice dinner and breakfast and friendly service. Not much to do there though as its more if a wedding venue, but there is a small bar. Otherwise good for a quick stayover

Incredible venue and experience! We loved every second of the wedding weekend we attended! Well done to the owners as well as the staff! They even organised a surprise treat for me and my husband on our 1 year anniversary - so special! We'll definitely see you again!

Great host and comfortable stay

A place with a heart and extra mile when it comes to service. Very friendly staff with everything well organized. Best guest and venue place I can think of. The personal touch is awesome. Well done guys.

Dinner at the pub/restaurant. Good food but totally spoilt by local patrons smoking in venue. Aweful for non smokers!

We had a horrible experience at Donsveertjie as wedding guests. The bride had so much anxiety as the owners decided to change sleeping arrangements 2 weeks prior to the wedding... Knowing that they won't find another wedding venue in such short notice; and as everyone lived out of town; we where forced to accept the unforeseen circumstances. All wedding guests where forced to share rooms!! even though and the owners had the audacity to charge the same rate as she would have for non sharing rooms. We (me and my boyfriend) where stuck in a room with a single bed for the weekend (Friday and Saturday night) and payed R2400 including breakfast for this service! I would not recommend this place to anyone every bride deserves peace of of mind on their wedding day and you will not get that at this place.
