Beautiful park, for the most part in decent condition. Worth a visit. Wish they had camping facilities but enough locations around to meet your needs.

What an amazing experience, to mingle with the best that nature can offer, was truly outstanding. We drove for more than 4hrs, roads are in good condition even for small cars like ours, plus they have petrol and diesel pump within the game reserve which made everything simple for our trip.

Awsome place to view wildlife with loads of roads. They also have lovely little picnic spot where you can see rhino and elephant crossing in hippo infested water. We even saw lions while we where there. Overall a great game reserve to visit with lots of wildlife an viewing area.

So nice to see that some of the ablutions are being upgraded. As well as some areas of the reserve have been burnt, which helps with better view to see animals. Some area are still very dense.

(Translated by Google) A very bad memory. A bad driver. For 3 hours we saw nothing and even after claim nothing is changed. Luxury swindlers. (Original) Une très mauvaise souvenir. Un conducteur méchant. Pendant 3 heures nous n'avons rien vu et même après réclamation rien n'est changé. Des arnaqueurs de luxe.

(Translated by Google) Dreamlike encounters with elephants, hard to believe that these giants are so close. (Original) Traumhafte Begegnungen mit Elefanten, kaum zu glauben, dass diese Riesen so nah zu sehen sind.

(Translated by Google) The park is great. It is not a zoo and nothing is guaranteed. Less busy than in the Kruger. Great walks possible but due to low bookings that fall out already. (Original) Der Park ist toll. Es ist kein Zoo und nichts ist garantiert. Weniger los als im Krüger. Tolle Walks möglich aber auf Grund zu geringer Buchungen fallen die auch schon mal aus.

Had a 6am Sunrise game drive. Lindi from @OnSafariAfrica was our guide. Beautiful scenery. Tranquility at it’s best. Caught the sunrise too. 🥹

A very large game reserve located in the Zululand area of KZN. it is hard to spot animals because the reserve is so large. I would suggest a game drive.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit and with kids. Need atleast 4 to 5 hours to see the full beauty of this place. Apart from the big 5 a wide variety of bird life is also to be found. Definitely need to be in a double cab so the side roads can also be taken if you want to get to the places with the wonderful sunrise or sunset views.

Absolutely beautiful place! The drive to the Hilltop camp is so serene, with many pleasant surprise sightings along the way. The view at the top is breathtaking. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and absolutely will be going back.

Great place for the family, clean, well kept restrooms, picnic areas with braai stands, there's a fuel pump if you need it in an emergency and there were lots of wildlife that we spotted

  • 5/5 Zelda L. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely a place to visit! The reserve is huge and teeming with game. Roads are well maintained and you don't have to go in an off-road vehicle. The restaurant was good too

The place is amazing with all kinds of animals you may think of. We slept at the Game resort me and my team where the guest rooms are very neat and classy for a resort, you feel like you are at some 5 star hotel somewhere in the metropolitan areas. The roads there are dusty and you need to know your map otherwise you will get lost easy worse at night, the adventure is amazing and you need help the game rangers to lead the way otherwise it would be dangerous alone and there is no network signal so don’t take any chance

I was here with my school's chamber choir for 3 days and did a 7-hour jeep tour through the beautiful nature of the national park. We could see 4 of the Big 5. The leopard was hiding from us.The huts we could sleep in were equipped with 2 big beds, a sink, a fridge, a kettle and a cupboard for clothes and dishes. Toilets and showers can be found in a nearby house and for larger groups there is also a large house with plenty of tables and chairs for all activities.

Absolutely beautiful and breath taking experience. Arrived a little late so could not see the Lions. But we got to see 3 out of the big 5.

A very beautiful peace of land where the African wildlife can still roam freely,… I visited a couple times already and it’s always a new experience.

  • 5/5 Fahmeeda M. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome game reserve- would suggest you do a guided safari as opposed to self drive as you may not see all the animals. The roads are good and you don’t necessarily need a 4x4, the roads are clearly marked you can purchase a map if you are doing a self drive. Entrance fee was R130pp (December 2022). Clean ablution areas, there is a little curio shop as well at the memorial gate entrance. A lot of picnic and braai spots.

(Translated by Google) Highly recommended, old reserve with lots of white rhinos. At least 2 days should be planned. (Original) Sehr zu empfehlen, altes Reservat mit vielen Breitmaul-Rhinos. Mindestens 2 Tage sollten eingeplant werden.

One of the oldest Game reserve in South Africa, you'll find most of the wild animals roaming freely, like buffalos, zebras, elephants, nyala different species of antilopes, rhinos... The reserve is strict which is good because there has been cases of poaching inside so expect to be search and make sure you carry an identification with you. There are people who have encountered lions while on safari there which is a big luck if you happen to see them they are hardly on the road.

Stunning, beautiful, magical ....... What else can you say, worth every penny ( about £30 ) for 2 adults and car. Wildlife in abundance just fantastic.

If you are visiting St Lucia area of Kwazulu Natal it is worth a visit to this game reseve. The rhinos are plentiful and lots of buffalo , giraffe and field game. The cats are scarce . Hilltop camp a good 3 star option.

Beautiful park. Ona three hours drive we saw lions, elephants, rhinos, cape buffalos and warthogs.

  • 4/5 Nicolas C. 4 years ago on Google
Beautiful park in the hills north of Hluhluwe. You can find many animals including the big 5 but especially see many rhinos. Big negative point: it is impossible to have a map as far as indications or signs are concerned, they are rare or even non-existent. So be patient if you are mistaken in taking advantage of the setting.

Game drive was excellent saw the big 5

  • 4/5 Safiya C. 3 years ago on Google
A day well spent with family and friends, however we did not drive through the whole reserve as we just went for the day. I suggest staying over if you live far. If you going for a day visit please arrive early. Price is R120 for adults and R60 for kids. I have added some pics of animals we spotted on our drive
