What a beautiful tented camp. The room we stayed in was in tip-top condition and super clean. There was an abundance of bird life, and the setting was super amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again. The owner was very accommodating and made our stay memorable.

Wonderful lodge on the banks of the Okavango River, on the panhandle of the Okavango Delta. Friendly and welcoming staff, management and owners. Delicious meals served on the deck overlooking the water, and a very comfortable tent on a platform, with the en-suite bathroom under the stars! Great sunset boat cruise with a sharp eyed guide, who was very good on his birds. Saw a pair of African Skimmers and then a Pels Fishing Owl when back in camp. Numerous owls calling all night which was magic. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely lodge.

Absolutely fantastic spot right along a sea of reeds in a forest of giant Jackalberry trees allowing the most epic photographic opportunities from birds and butterflies to all the amazing small critters found around camp! Super quiet, great bird song from early morning throughout the day. Not many mozzies (I certainly expected much worse!) Just a perfectly dreamy spot to relax and soak in the Okavango vibes! Only two campsites so I was lucky to have pretty much the whole campsite to myself! Hot water, and electricity at both sites, and loads of space! There are also some very romantic looking tents for the slightly less adventurous -everything neat & clean!

The place was amazing!!! We spent a night in the family tent, which had an outside shower with a view on the river and the forest. This was fantastic!!! Also, the mutual outside living room was fabulous. The staff was super friendly, and as well the owners. Can not say anything else then that we enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Askiesbos lodge. The staff is very attentive as well as the owner! The open air shower and toilet with a sunrise view were definitely a very special add on. The sunset cruise is a great trip to see and learn about beautiful birds and if you are really lucky also to see swimming elephants.

Is there anything more luxurious than taking a shower under a canopy of tall, old-growth trees? I stayed at Askiesbos for a work trip, but the whole experience felt more like a soul-reviving getaway. We loved watching the sun rise over the river from the cozy communal porch each morning. The forest and river tents are stylishly decorated and well-stocked with comfort amenities like a refrigerator and high-quality towels and bedding. The service was superb, and they have a very talented chef, Titi, who made our experience feel like luxury camping. The dinners each night were a real treat after a long day at work. We made a little time for relaxation towards the end of our stay with a river cruise launched straight from the premises. Amazing! Highly recommend Askiesbos--what an incredible value for Botswana!

Damann, Hettie and their kids are amazing hosts! Our family camped at Askiesbos for three nights. There are two campsites each with their own ablution. I've never used this word to describe ablution facilities, but there is no other way: it is fabulous! Clearly designed by someone with an eye for design and detail, open-air and under the canopy of trees. Can't beat it. Askiesbos is a great place for exploring the Tsodilo hills with its rockpaintings. We also went on a lovely sunset boat cruise where we saw birds, crocodiles and the most beautiful sunset. We miss the place already!

We had a wonderful time here in February. It is a true gem with the most wonderful hosts, Dammen and Hettie. They have created a truly special camp and could not have been more welcoming, friendly and interesting. It is clear they love this place and care deeply for it. The location is wonderful, on the bank of the Okavango flood plain with views across to the east side and with permanent water in front of the camp. The whole lodge area has wonderful trees, of great variety and many of them are huge which provides deep shade in the heat of the day. The tents are built to a high standard and are very comfortable as is the mess area. The staff were very professional and friendly, producing excellent food and a great experience on the water. Askiesbos had been highly recommended by a friend who knows the area and other lodges well but even he had not done it justice. It was even better in every way than he had described and a great experience, hopefully to be repeated before long.
