this camp is amazing! The staff is so friendly and kind. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. The whole experience is very intimate and wonderful. We had the most amazing guide - Thabo - who was a wealth of knowledge. If you go to this camp ask for him!! I am already looking forward for the day I get to return.

It was exceptionally hot when we were there 38-40 everyday. We skipped the afternoon game drives due to heat and spent that time in the pool. We did 2 sunset boat rides, those were spectacular with such close interaction with the Elephants in the water! Both morning game drives were successful as we were able to see so many animals including Leopards both days even one with a small cub! Andy, the manager, was fantastic and Offte our bartender was the happiest fellow we'd met on Safari! We loved our cabin - especially all the shelves, hooks and hangers it was so easy to stay organized during our 3 night stay. They don't turn the power off during the night at this Lodge so the fan kept us cool and I was able to Blow Dry and Curl my hair each day using the step-down converter I'd brought with me from Canada. The Chef created a private meal for us the night of my husband's 65th Birthday and even baked him a birthday cake and the Choir sang a few songs! We really enjoyed our stay at Xakanaxa!

I was disappointed that this was advertised as a water camp and it is absolutely NOT a water camp!! Water is 1 hour away for the 2 boating activities. That said, it is a beautiful camp, the rooms feel like city hotel rooms. The food is outstanding. We had great game drives with lots of incredible animal sightings. Saw a cheeta with 3, 2 week old cubs, lions and leopards plus loads of elephants, zebras and Buffalo. I really wish they had properly described this camp as I really wanted a genuine water camp at the end of our trip. We did loads of game drives at 2 other camps for 7 days and 4 more days of them here was too much.

My husband and I stayed at this camp for 4 nights and it was the highlight of our African safari trip! Our guide Kaiser was amazing; he was respectable, well informed about the wildlife & habitat, and we felt safe the whole time. All the staff at Camp Xakanaxa go out of their way to make sure your needs are well beyond met. We can’t wait to come back- it was an adventure of a lifetime.

Staying here was the experience of a lifetime! The entire staff is incredible, the camp itself is gorgeous, and we didn't have one bad minute while we were here. The food is absolutely incredible, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergy. Everything they made, they'd make a version of it for me that I could eat. I've never felt so well taken care of, and I really really hope we will have the opportunity to return in the future. I would absolutely recommend this camp to anyone looking for a life changing vacation. Our guide was Kedi, and she was so much fun. Very polite, knowledgeable, and she was determined to make sure that we saw everything that we wanted to. Eddie, Zaza, and Ipeleng were the camp managers and made us feel right at home. We loved getting to know the staff. Ricardo, Ofti, Monty, Harry, TH, and truly everyone who works there was just wonderful. Thank you, Xakanaxa, for the trip of a lifetime!

Great food, friendly workers, lovely grounds. All the employees smile and always are helpful. They love their jobs and their country.. A great place to experience the bush . Animal viewing is exceptional. Come and try it you can't go wrong.
