Gosh, where to start. The Grand Palm was a really really big part of my childhood. From the arcade, which was super active many years ago, to the Stardust Cinema which is now closed as well, also there is a wonderful jewelry store within the lobby, and the prices they have at this store are very very competitive. I even went to a talent show at which Brenda Fassi sung, and the KTV kids came around, it was one of the first times I was on TV as a kid. Whether you want to have a conference meeting, or a meal at The Fish Eagle restaurant which by the way has excellent food and great service, or you just want to go out back and enjoy sitting in a hammock chair by the water or hang out at the bar, Grand Palm has got it all (Picture taken around 2008).

I recommend that management ask the kitchen staff why it takes so long to prepare food. If they are short staffed, hire more people. It took nearly 2 hrs for dinner to be served after we ordered. The following day when we ordered lunch it was nearly a 1 hour wait for our food. I do want to highlight a very hard worker who is a server - Charles. He is the best! Attentive, hard worker, professional. I give Charles five stars. He is my favorite and he deserves a raise. This hotel is lucky to have him.

I'm very disappointed with the hotel. The carpet in the room has a stale smell which forced me to put the aircon on permanently. No in-bath shower rubber mats so you take a shower at a risk of slipping.

The pool side bar is 👌🤧 The pool itself is yhe cleanest i have seen ina while. you can see the bottom 👌

World Class Service….. They do everything the 1st time

I attended a wedding at the GICC for about 200 guests. The food and service was very very poor it felt like the staff were on a go slow. For a start when the bread rolls were brought to the tables (before food was served) they gave a table of 10 only 4 small bread rolls per table. Then there were no staff overseeing the serving of food at the dishing stations. The food ran out and we had to go looking for staff to replenish the food. No one was in a hurry and we had to chase them for more food. They did not have enough food so they closed one station and sent us all to the other station. When we eventually got some food it was cold, the lamb stew was tasteless, the creamed spinach was watery and had too much salt and the fish was fry. Not a good experience at all.

A perfect place for business sessions and we can chill with friends and family members too. Had a great time at Grand Palm

I celebrated my 45th years birthday..and the service in the restaurant and bar liquor was excellent..I trully enjoyed with my family and the waitress Kelly was very friendly as well..the food was wow...looking forward to my visit there soon

Never a disappointment. Took a friend out for a birthday celebration, got great food at the restaurant and when the waiter realised it was my friends birthday, we got cake on the house 😁 was super happy.

A sad 4 star hotel. There is so much more potential, but the lack of knowledge and service in the hotel is meaning a down fall for them. Managers should at least mingle between the guests. Staff should acknowledge a guest when they are approching an area where there are a service offered, like reception etc. The only person that would get 5 stars from me is the lady that worked in house keeping. She is trying her utmost best to keep the rooms and the passages by the rooms clean.

Service at the bar can be improved, waiters trained, or remedial training can sort this lack of urgency and customer service. Other than that all is fine

Premium Hotel and casino in the city. Biggest casino in the city. Good rooms and services. Neatly maintained surrounding. Safe and amble parking. Houses for rent is also available inside the compound.

Had lunch by the pool yesterday and I must admit the service was terrible ... ordered a shisanyama platter for 6. The food came over 90mins late, with sausages still bleeding ...I informed our waitress who seemed unbothered, she then told me to cut every sausage to check If it's well cooked...she took 4/6 and they were brought back as hard as a brick😭😭 the winglets were dry. When she took our order I requested for bread rolls more than 4 times and my request fell on deaf ears, when she eventually brought them. They were cold and damp😏😥 So disappointed, this has always been my favourite spot! 💔 Not to mention ...I had visitors from Dar es Salaam, TZ ...their experience now tainted !

A real old style hotel and conference center with nice bar, restaurant and spacious conference rooms. Pity the air-conditioning does not work on UPS power when there is a power failure - especially in Covid times which makes the rooms very hot. The conference center can do with some TLC and a fresh coat of paint will really add a lot to its upmarket positioning.
