Located on the Zambezi River and adjacent to Chobe National Park means that you are in the perfect place to experience the real Africa. The hotel is a perfect place to return to after your safari, you can either relax inthe shade of the boabab tree or enjoy a sundowner in the pool. Safaris to Chobe Game Reserve leave from the hotel which is convenient and if you up for Tiger fishing, then all you need to do is walk down to the river front and you are on the water.

We absolutely loved our stay at this lodge. Exceptional staff!! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and we loved the amenities. The wildlife in the lodge itself is also amazing with warthogs, monkeys and even a hippo roaming around at night. It a great location for activities as the river cruise boats are docked right in front of the hotel and the game rangers collecting you at the hotel for a 5min drive into the Chobe National Park. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful resort and spa. Designed to give you the feel of a jungle resort. The staff are wonderful and the wildlife is abundant. Love the room and the turndown service my only complaint is because of an incident in the dining room. On our last day my wife forgot her purse in the dining room. We were almost the last people in there. Within 10 minutes she was back at the room looking for her purse. The staff shrugged their shoulders and played dumb. O checked at the front desk and the woman there dissent seem to care. It wasn’t until our tour guide convinced the manager to review the security tapes. Lo and behold they sent a staff member up to the business office where they found my wife’s purse. Police were contacted and a report filed. It is abundantly clear that a staff member rook her purse and removed all the cash and dumped it in between couch cushions in the business office. I have asked in numerous occasions for an update on their investigation and am being ignored. Keep an eye on your stuff. There is a thief employed there

Generally excellent experience. Location is great, falls about a block away, elephants visited the backyard pond one night, room was jungle chic with mosquito netting around the bed. The weird part involved food service. My wife has celiac disease (flour allergy) so we felt it would be safer to order from the menu instead of going to the buffet. We were told it would take 30 to 40 minutes but instead it was well over an hour. When our ribs arrived they had flour-encrusted onion rings on top. If we send them back, will it take another hour? My question is this: If you don't want people to order from the menu, why have one?

Was there for lunch and drinks, was a low day so very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view of the river. The bartender was very good and able to modify drinks to suit palates because the bar menu is very limited which was a downer. The public bathrooms on the ground floor weren’t checked regularly enough, we failed to use them.

Our visit to Cresta Mowana Safari Resort and Spa for the lunch buffet and safari boat cruise was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression. The resort's picturesque setting along the Chobe River provided a serene backdrop for a memorable day. The lunch buffet was a culinary delight, offering a diverse selection of delectable dishes. The variety of options, from local specialties to international favorites, catered to a range of tastes. The quality of the food exceeded expectations, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. Following lunch, the safari boat cruise along the Chobe River was nothing short of spectacular. The boat provided an excellent vantage point to witness the abundance of wildlife along the riverbanks. We did not have a good experience and ended up leaving early. We were charged incorrectly both on arrival and on departure. There was a lot of construction going on and rivers views were blocked by this. We also found some of the staff to be rude and the food to be overpriced and not very good. Rooms were a bit dark but otherwise ok. There is internet throughout the property which was nice and a basic gym to use. Rivers views from the main building were the best part of the stay.

This was my 7th time staying there, and once again, 5 star service all around! Robert the GM has ensemble an incredible team there! Starting with Lame, Nei, Arnold, and Wame from the front desk. All super friendly, professional, and helpful. Then you have their support team including the man, the myth, the legend Makata! He's always so nice to everyone walking through the door, and will do anything for each guests. Banks and Kelly from the activity desk also go above and beyond. The rooms are very spacious with all amenities necessary for a great stay. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are large with great water pressure. The grounds are well manicured and the two pools are beautiful. We truly enjoyed the daytime activities, especially the sunset cruise! The spa is also beautiful, and the staff very professional and phenomenal treatments. Special thanks to Gohse for an outstanding massage! Overall, this property is incredibly amazing! The entire staff of Mowana will make you feel like part of their family!

Great resort on the banks of the Zambezi, good bar to watch sunset over the river. Beautiful pool down by the spa that was hardly used by other guests. Excellent massage at the spa. Food options limited to the resort only with lunch and dinner buffet options relatively expensive for what you get. We found the bar menu better value! Comfortable and clean rooms although slightly on the smaller side.

We did not complete a stay here, but we did have a lovely buffet lunch at this resort to break up our safari tour. The food was plentiful, and the service was great. The grounds were very nice.

The Ambience is second to none! Top-notch safari resort and spa outfit in the real sense of it! Tucked away in Kasane Botswana by the shores of CHOBE river, the Cresta offers holiday makers their well deserved getaway

The location is stunning and had a great time on the sunset boat ride and safari. The spa delivered a world-class back and neck massage.

Have visited Cresta Mowana on multiple occasions, most recently for the annual BTTE which the venue hosted. General service, as well as variety of alcoholic beverages could be improved; however I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of food provided both to the event as well as that from the resturant - especially considering the high volumes which was required over a number of days. The venue boasts one of the best views of the river, supplying great sunsets from the upstairs bar overlooking the Kasai channel. It was lovely to have the opportunity to experience the use of the Cultural Village venue, however it can also see improvement in terms of bathroom facilities and catering space for larger events - however the overall experience provided by Mowana as a host venue was thoroughly enjoyable. Noting from previous experience, the spa and spa infinity pool, steamroom and sauna as well as cold plunge pool are a great addition to the list of relaxing activities provided along the Chobe river. It would be great to see attention be given to this area post covid, inorder to really elevate the overall standard of service offered in the region.

Definitely not returning or recommending the hotel to anyone else. Too many glitches : •Hotel did not have any child friendly rooms spent a lot of time begging frontline staff and Acting General Manager to fix our sleeping situation. In the end my husband and i had to share 1 room with my 3 kids aged 1,6 & 11 after the hotel staff reserved a twin room for my 2 kids blocks away from ours •Most of the food served by the kitchen staff was cold, including starter soups. Restaurant service was terrible with waiters sitting people on tables without cutlery, condiments which meant that one had to keep getting up to get items from other tables. There were no baby chairs in the hotel until our complaint to the General Manager which made eating difficult with a 1 year old. • Spa ladies treated my mom and i like we were not good enough for the hotel spa. They asked us about some complimentary massage on a package which was clearly not offered to us and sent us away by recommending we go to a friend of theirs offering massages at the bus rank

Clean, comfortable beds. Much nicer (and rooms smell better) than Chobe Safari Lodge. There are two pools - the one by the spa is much nicer than the main pool. Massages were great. The food is terrible, but you won’t find much better food elsewhere in Kasane. You’re about a 15 minute drive from Chobe gate, and the game drive was great.

Being in one of the most beautiful places on this planet, it seems obvious that my objectivity might be compromised, but I’ll try anyway….Cresta Mowana is a beautiful lodge with very comfortable accommodation and friendly staff. As arguably the most up-market lodge in town, I did however miss that “special touch. Also, even though the food was ok, I would not choose the lodge based on its cuisine.

Fantastic place to be , good room, foods are delicious, heart of chobe River and the national park only 10min dive away. Restaurants service can be improved by bit of training. You never miss the smile of the front of house staff and specially the GM Carol. Very welcoming.

Nothing negative to say at all! Food service was slow, but this is Botswana and who cares, the setting is stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very well appointed with mosquito netting, balconies overlooking the garden and river Chobe and Baboons who will steel your sugar sachets...keep those bedroom doors closed!
