Out of all the lodges in the reserve, Eagle Island lodge is by far the best. You'll get to see the most romantic bar in the whole world, beautiful rooms, excellent food and service and the tours will take your breath away, guides are really well prepared to scout any animal and answer any question you may have. Would recommend highly that you stay here. Belmond knows what they are doing.

Amazing safari camp with the most impressive bespoke accomodation ever. Welcome songs, very close animal encounters with elephants drinking out of your own plunge pools makes for an unforgetable experience.

The trip of a lifetime! We stayed for two nights and found the service to be over the top and all of the staff to be terrific. Our guide "OT"was with us every step of the way and had an uncanny ability to find animals and so many other interesting things for us everywhere that we went. A special shout out goes staff members Rachel, Gatsy and Capt. D as well. The lodge is in a beautiful setting and all of the meals were delicious. Also nice to have the dugout canoe and speedboat experiences there, where you get super up close to wildlife. Recommending to all my close friends now. Belmont does an amazing job in the Delta!

By far the best holiday to date. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the food is amazing and you are really treated like royalty. The rooms are five star with the most comfortable beds and most beautiful views. The guides are fantastic with such good knowledge and experience that you really do trust them with your life. We had Moses and he was amazing. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Eagle Island Lodge was the last place I stayed on my 8 night 1st ever African Safari - 4 locations, 2 nights each. This was the BEST. This place has it all...amazing location (with fantastic views from all areas of the Lodge), food, service, game drives, rooms (loved my own plunge pool on my deck), cute gift shop...absolutely amazing and luxurious. The rooms were very spacious, indoor and outdoor showers, beautifully done. I will definitely be back. I believe visiting in April allowed us to get closer to wildlife on game drives than if we visited during the rainy season and traveled some by boat. I saw more wildlife in this location than I did in the other 3 locations. I truly wish I had more time here!

What a privilege to spend time in such a beautiful lodge in a beautiful part of the world. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind, the staff was warm and accommodating, and the animals were close and photogenic. elephants even walked through the lodge driveway while we had tea. I also always felt nothing but safe.

Probably the best place I have been worldwide when looking for nature. Before even seeing the amazing room, tasting the food and seeing the sunset I was already thinking about coming back. If the nature was breathtaking the whole staff member crew was even more unforgettable. We have been there a month ago but my heart is still there. We will go back without questions.

Eagle Island is like no where else in the world. The hospitality is second to none. The life of the wild is the greatest experience I’ve ever had. Love the guides (OT and Louie) for the knowledge,passion, and willingness to share all about their culture.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The place has been remodeled and upon your arrival it looks beautiful overlooking the Delta. I know this place is quite costly and for the price you are not getting what you deserve. The service is below average at best and the food is pretty bad. We were all very disappointed . We traveled as a group of 8 of us. This was our last leg of our trip. The staff were not friendly and our guide Tsile was a bit militant. We had stayed in 2 other places one in Kruger , Dulini lodge which was by far the most amazing place and then Muchenje where all the staff were warm, friendly and the food and service was outstanding. Stay somewhere else.

My husband and I just spent three nights at Eagle Island and wish we had spent our 7 nights there. It was fabulous even without sufficient water to do many of the water activities. But we will be back!! This was our 6th safari and Eagle was the best combination of beautiful setting, wonderful staff, fabulous "tents" (just wish we had known there was the possibility of opening our windows and pulling down the screen), and animals, animals, animals, everywhere. We get away in part to be spoiled rotten and this place has that down. Everyone just makes you feel good. We would sit on our private deck, occasionally dipping in our private pool, and enjoy our sundowner surrounded by so many animals. It truly is a bit of paradise! Thanks to all who made our visit so wonderful. See you next year!
