This place is going down. Some people at front desk are extremely unfriendly, if not rude sometimes. More and more machines stop working and nobody fixes them. Aircon wasn’t working for weeks. Some days, depending on shifts, weights are everywhere, nobody puts them where it should be. Yes, people must clean up after themselves, but unfortunately we have lots of divas who don’t do it, but then the rest have to struggle. So dear management, it’s time to focus on this branch otherwise very soon you’ll start loosing lots of your loyal customers. Thank you.

Clean and prestigious. Probably one of the only two gyms in gabarone but the best one of the two. Virgin active premier is accepted so this is prime for anyone staying at the local hotels on business or pleasure Modern equipment and friendly staff. Really well placed layout so you dont brush shoulders with the weighlifters. However, being the only virgin active... After 5pm it gets crazy full. Would advise morning or late evening routines

Virgin Active’s Gaborone branch requires significant improvements in several areas: 1. The thermostat for the larger pool remains unresolved even after six months,resulting in persistently cold water. 2. Maintenance of the gym equipment is painfully slow,leading to limited availability of functional equipment. 3. The gym’s ventilation system occasionally proves inadequate,with noticeable discomfort upon entering the facility. 4. The female bathrooms,particularly the two showers adjacent to the steam/sauna room,are in dire need of maintenance. The missing tiles and malfunctioning shower mixer are concerning. Unfortunately,the most disheartening aspect of the gym is the apparent lack of responsiveness from the staff when reporting these issues. They claim that the SouthAfrican Virgin Active office does not prioritize their concerns,leaving members frustrated and undeserved.

Gym subscriptions are going up...P520/month from January 2023 yet a lot of the machines are still NOT working. One leg extension machine hasn't been working for over 2 years now! Cable machine near stationary bikes works for a few days and has red tape around it soon after...I am only still there because of its proximity to my home.

Virgin active is the number one gym in Gaborone, you know what, Botswana. It has an accomodating appearance which gives you the urge to stay fit and healthy. It has a food bar that offers the best healthy shakes, smoothies and drinks. The instructors are also kind, patient and bubbly man! It offers the best classes and workouts at an affordable price for all ages. Fitness has never been as affordable as it is at Virgin Active

A very poor service. After being with this gym for over 3 years, I requested that my membership be terminated, paid the cancellation fee and shared the POP with their officer on email, only to have a deduction from my account for the monthly installment. The relevant officer is not responding to my emails. Such bad customer service.

Fantastic Virgin Active! Loved the fact that there was a kiddies pool separate to the large pool area! It gave me the opportunity to teach some family friends how to swim! The bathroom is also fully stocked with soaps, hairdryers and hair straightners!

Charge you when they shouldn't and then block your card when they don't actually process payment. Been trying to resolve for weeks but clearly not capable of doing so. My stress and frustration has resulted in me handing back my card. Would rather have a legal battle and go to Jack's to relax.

Crazy place! My son wanted to swim, they need P110 for him to swim, that's fine, BUT they want me to stay with him inside and they need P190 for me to sit inside. This is crazy expensive for a day.

Used to rate the customer service as poor, now iv had several encounters with very bad service that is uncalled for. Yes they have good equipment and all,but il never go there for a workout.. there's too much saturation now and their service is the worst.

If i could give no stars i would...another example of a big corporation muscling its way into our pockets by exploiting contract renewal clauses i.e. after 1 year contract elapses it u dnt alert them of ure intended cancellation the charges go on indenfintaly basicallg extending your 1 year contract without your signature..shocking, i will preach this song till i get fat and unattractive, still wont use ure gyms, its like goin to a gym owned by drug dealers...

$16 USD for a day pass?! That's 3x what equivalent gyms cost. Check-in took more than 15 minutes and front desk attendants were quite unfriendly. Try Jack's gym instead for travelers or locals. Much better.

Exclusive staff so friendly with kids especially Tapiwa. it's a clean state of art facilities.

Love this place. At the times I go to the gym, 9-11am, it's not crowded so I have access to all needed gym equipment. The trainers are polite and welcoming and always willing to help if u have a question. Lockers, showers, and steam room are clean. The pool area is also nice to clean.

The gym is good. However, admin staff need to be followed a lot to get any assistance.

Used to love the place. BUT Mixed Experience at Virgin Active The gym used to be exemplary, earning its reputation as the best in the country. However, recent experiences have left me with mixed feelings. While the facilities maintain their high standards, the decline in customer service is evident. Attempting to update my banking details since March 2023 has been an ongoing struggle, with the system repeatedly failing to process the changes. Sometimes my membership would be cancelled without me putting in a request for cancellation. This persistent issue has been a source of frustration, highlighting a notable flaw in their administrative processes. Note that it's December 2023 and my banking details haven't been changed yet, I have filled in their forms 5 times. The staff members always put the blame on South Africa Virgin Active. The gym's current state, juxtaposed with its former glory, prompts me to give Virgin Active a 3-star rating. It's disheartening to see a once exceptional establishment falter in crucial areas. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism, encouraging improvements to ensure the continued satisfaction of loyal members.

All about the company with little regard for the paying client, especially the long dedicated one. Loyalty is not rewarded. Poor and slow maintenance of equipment and facilities, in general.

Very bad service today from Boni in the mens change rooms. I was treated very poorly in front of all other members in the club. Customer service 1/10 - very annoyed 26/07/2022

Its very crowded Monday to Wednesday. Rest of the week is much more comfortable to gym. Service can improve.

Best fitness club in Gaborone, but now overcrowded with resultant jostling for equipment. Peak times have increased from 17h00-19h00 to 17h00-21h00, with only the last 30 mins left to easily access exercise equipment. If another exercise franchise like Planet Fitness could be opened in Gaborone, Virgin Active would certainly lose clients to it for these reasons!
