Overall easy drive but definitely pay attention for bikers and other motorists. View at the top is awesome; you can see the city on one side or just a beautiful landscape on the other. Definitely worth the trip, with a little gift shop at the top and some historical sites to walk and see!

We had a wonderful time there. The view was amazing and the museum and gift shop were unbeatable. The staff was super friendly and had all the answers. This is definitely a must stop on your vacation.

This is a very nice place to visit. The park has a museum for Buffalo Bill. The park also includes his burial site. There are great views and many pull off on the road for pictures. A lot of walking trails, look for mountain goats, there are also bathrooms and parking. While you are here go and see the mansion on the top of the mountain, it an amazing place with a gift shop below. Closed on Mondays.

Spectacular (sometimes nerve wracking) long mountainous drive from Golden, CO to the top of Lookout Mountain. The view from the top allows you to see for miles: the mountains to the left, downtown Denver to the right. Never knew this is where Buffalo Bill was buried. There is also a museum there, however, we only visited his grave. Not sure why he seems to be so highly honored (when he slaughtered so many buffalo), but it is important to always remember history so that some events are NOT repeated.

Great views and was lucky to find it not crowded at all. Perfect weather and a pretty nice drive. Watch out for all the idiots on bicycles. Most on this day were determined to screw with traffic.

You can drive and hike up to this park. I’ve done the hike from Chimney Gulch Trailhead and it wasn’t too bad. The drive up is pretty steep. Amazing view of downtown Denver and Golden CO on the east and the mountains on the west. There’s a cute little gift shop and cafe at the top where we stopped and got some ice-cream after the hike. They sell homemade fudge as well. We didn’t do the museum but the adult entrance fee is $5 per person if interested. Great hike for those new to Denver who want to visit the mountains with a view of both the high plains and the Rockies.

Great views are just a short drive away. We enjoyed watching the paragliding and some of them came right overhead. A nice place to get away and just take in the view.

This is a park where the overlooks and views are the stars. We went to two overpasses- one in the parking lot of the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave and one at the parking area across the road by a pavilion. Both views were amazing, earlier and at sunset. The museum is interesting if you are a history buff.

The main area was closed with no warning and that was frustrating. Hiking the long way around was gorgeous despite being cold and rainy. Will be back when they’re hopefully officially open.

On the way to the airport we saw a sign for Lookout.mountain and Buffalo Bill's graveside. The drive up the mountain was about 10 miles but it was an awesome view. Really enjoyed the top. I would recommend if passing by and you have an hour to spend PD The owners dog was almost the highlight of my stop. I could have played fetch with him for hours.

We drove up here to see the Buffalo Bill grave. We were hoping to check out the museum, but of course they just started the winter season. They are closed on Mondays in the winter. I still recommend taking in the view, checking out the shop and the grave. Overall a beautiful view and drive up here.

So beautiful and beloved folk hero Buffalo Bill has his grave atop this very mountain. I don’t have pictures cause my phone died.

It was great to place to visit. Never been before it was awesome. Just walk across the street and though some trees. Then you have a great view of Golden. Highly recommend it just for the view.

A great place to drive up and watch the sunset. It's worth it to explore the surrounding trails and Buffalo Bill's gravesite. The gift shop and restaurant are also worth checking out.

Great place to take pictures. There is a gift shop full of neat souvenirs, if you like stuff like that. The views from here were souvenir enough.

This park is excellent and has a Nature Center that is very educational and comfortable for all ages. The volunteers were super nice along with the ranger who supervises them. Shout out to the volunteer who went to the University of FL …GO GATORS - she was super nice as was the other lady volunteer! There is a lot of information on the local wildlife and hiking trails. The area is well maintained and beautiful views. Take the time to visit this center and bring the kids. It’s also super dog friendly. There is a kids area and a place for us elders to rock in rocking chairs.

At the summit of Lookout Mountain visit the Buffalo Bill Cody museum covering the life of William F Cody and his Wild West traveling show. Visit Buffalo Bill's grave located behind the museum. You can have a bison burger at the restaurant next door. Bring a bicycle too. The five mile ride down the mountain is a thrill. Saw two guys on unicycles pedal all the way up and down the mountain!

It's very beautiful looking down into golden and also being able to see the view of downtown Denver. Beautiful view and very nice place to go hiking as well if wanted too. Definitely had fun taking the family.

There are a few locations on the map that could be considered a lookout spot. The best one we heard of was exit 253 turn left over the highway and then another left. It is close to the Patrick house. We still didn't see any Buffalo but this is the area they spend alot of time in we were told. You can look at where they have not been by seeing where the grass has not been eaten.

The views are absolutely stunning! People occasionally paraglide over the road, which enhances the experience. Frankly, it's Colorado beauty at its finest. Enjoy time with friends and family as you savor your environment and play some kickass music.

We drove the Lariat Loop and hiked a mile or so at Windy Gulch (that's not quite the right name - Windy something...). We took a couple of hours to go through, stopping a few times for the views. We were impressed with the bicyclers - looks like a hard ride, but everyone seemed to enjoy it - cars were good about going around the bicyclists, which doesn't happen everywhere. The switchbacks were fun and views spectacular. We came back the next day to check out Buffalo Bill's Museum as well.

Someone recommended coming to this location before we left Colorado to go back home to California, so we stopped... Best decision... It was so AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS up here... The view of Colorado from this location was "BREATH TAKING"... Definitely, recommend anyone In Colorado visiting or passing by to stop at this location... You will be happy you did... The pictures you can take here are forever "Memorable"...

The sunset, the view, and the peace that come with visiting this wonderful place. Overall, I highly recommend this place! It’s definitely worth the drive if you’re driving up from Denver! There are many trails and safe parking lots. The people that come here are very respectful and QUIET!!! When it’s this peaceful, it helps with the view and scenery!
