Exceeded expectations! We went for the Friday Fish Fry and were not disappointed. The beer battered cod was perfectly cooked and the serving portion was three good sized pieces, plus coleslaw, brown bread, and a large potato pancake. We started off with a cup of New England Clam Chowder which was full of clams. Everything was served piping hot and with little delay. We were too full to try the cherry pie for dessert. I never went to Laura's, but it looked like the interior had been completely refurbished and was very clean and attractive. However it's a diner, not a supper club. If you're in the area, this is a place to put on your list.

Charming little cafe along the side of the road—the perfect place to stop for a late breakfast. The hash browns were divine—the toast buttered just right 🥰 and the interior was charmingly rustic and spotlessly clean. The service was fast and attentive. Even the bathrooms were quaintly decorated. Lots of locals hanging around the counter diving into the pot roast special. Thumbs up for me.

The place is very busy, which is a good sign. The breakfast food is remarkably fresh and cooked perfectly. We have stopped for breakfast here twice this week, and both times there was only one waitress working the whole room. But in spite of how busy it was, both days we had friendly and excellent service. This is our new breakfast spot when we come to the north woods!

I met a friend for breakfast. The food was outstanding. I had the biscuits and gravy skillet. It was so worth the wait. Our server was great and everything was clean and neat. I would definitely recommend this diner. I will be back !!!

This place is AMAZING!! I highly recommend stopping in for a meal or just a quick snack. The blueberry cheesecake cups are SOOOOO good!! I got the reuben sandwich with fries and my misses got the popcorn shrimp with fries. It was delicious and good portions for us not so petite guys. I was going to get the French dip but, it seems it must be really good because they were all sold out for the day already. Next time!!

Great food and great service. It was very busy on Sunday morning at 930. Our server was a lot of fun and kept the coffee coming. We have also been there for lunch which is very good too. Dee Dee’s has become our new go to restaurant when we’re up north

Great spot for breakfast, which is what we had, or lunch. Coffee was excellent. Very popular place. All tables, and most of the counter seats, were full the entire time we were there.

This place is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely fantastic. The biscuits and gravy is some of the best I have ever had and I'm quite a snob when it comes to good biscuits and gravy. Great prices, out waitress was all on her own which she said is typical for week days and still was super friendly and a smile on her face. We definitely will be coming back. My husband loved the country fries steak breakfast.

Sat at the counter, the food was great and the service was awesome. I also picked up one of their adorable hoodies that say "be kind" on the back. Will definitely come back when I am passing through!

Super friendly staff. The Omelet and Benny Skillet were delicious! The best part however was the pancake! All this served in a cute, cozy, and clean cafe.

Cute outside, cute inside, wonderful kind servers, great food! My husband built his own skillet and I had French toast. Both were incredible. There are tables and counter stools. The other patrons were so fun to meet and chat with. The only problem... No place to wait indoors.

The place is spotless, first off. The server was wonderful. And the french toast was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD... And I've had lots. Great place.

Now known as DeeDee’s Diner. Busy Sunday mid morning. Great service, great food. Had breakfast served promptly - all were well satisfied! Country fried steak lightly battered and cooked perfectly. Gravy paired well. Great flavors. Waffle (special today) had great flavoring - made it extra special. Friendly service. We will be back.

My family and I were in the area the weekend after Thanksgiving. We drove the 30 mins from our hotel to try out this place for breakfast, but when we pulled into the parking lot there was a sign on the door that stated they only accept cash or check. We don't carry much cash with so we were forced to go somewhere else for breakfast. So make sure you have cash if you go here. Hopefully next time we are up we will bring some cash so we can try this place out.

Amazing, if I could rate more than 5 stars I definitely would. Delicious food, great service. Love the atmosphere. Will be back!

It was a busy Sunday morning, but the waitress’ had smiles on their faces and we never felt neglected. The food is abundant and amazing. We will definitely be back.

Kara did an outstanding job of caring for our table.. Super busy but everyone was being served very quickly.. Food was very very good n coffee was hot and the service was fantastic .. Super efficient n friendly staff.. Hidden gem of a Diner.. I’d do a wait time here if needed.. Outdoor sitting too for overflow or large groups..❤️🔆

Friday Night Fish Fry. It was very good. I was able to have a bkd pot which was super for me. But the queen of the plate was the tarter sauce! Homemade, creamy, full of dill and just something extra. The breading was crispy and piping hot. The seats offered a perfect view of the garden which was magical. I was very pleased and will go back. side note: I took home half of the food. Prices were very competitive and the place was spotless. There is an ATM on site because they only take cash though and the ATM has a fee. The only negative for me.

Our new favorite breakfast place.. I had Corn beef Hash and Eggs (again). Hubby had Grandpa's Special (again) lol. Definitely will be back soon.

Breakfast was FABULOUS! You will not be disappointed. I had two eggs over easy, corned beef hash, rye toast and a side of the most delicious crispy bacon I've had in a long time. The service was great (thank you KT!), with hot toppers on my coffee and a smile to go with that. And don't leave without a warmed cinnamon bun smothered in vanilla frosting! So good all the way around!
