Everyone working here that we met was so friendly. Great service! Paintings on the walls, creatures hanging from the ceilings. Credit cards aren't accepted but they do accept cash and checks. Very loud because it's very popular. We were there on Friday, June 9, 2023. And just as we left, it looked like a live band was coming in. The food was good. I ordered the junk burger and fries. Didn't get a chance to try their chips.

This place is special. Very special. The food was incredible. But that's not even the best of it. I can't think of another restaurant experience I've ever had where the staff seemed so collectively and collaboratively happy, helpful, positive, *relaxed* - all while providing incredible service. The vibe: it's like you're hanging out at your laid back Deadhead friend's house who also happens to be a world-class host. I've never before asked a restaurant employee essentially: What's going on at this place?!? (In an absolutely positive and appreciative way.) We happened to be sitting next to someone who frequents and who also happened to be a global (but Boulder local) travel writer, and he confirmed the experience was consistent and real and special. Highly recommended. Will be returning.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Boulder from out of town and after 7 days of camping in Nevada and Utah, we were looking for something to fill our stomachs and our souls, haha. We decided to try out this place but had no idea what to expect since we are from out of town. We were truly blown away by everything about this brewery! From the minute we walked in, EVERY single staff member was so incredibly welcoming and kind, clearly going out of the way to make us feel comfortable. The vibes were relaxed and fun inside and the food and beer was amazing! We told them we were thinking about moving to Boulder in the future and they told us if we move here, our first beer would be on the house. So nice! We will definitely be back, as visitors or residents!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and service was fast. The BLT was perfect and the speakeasy steak sandwich was delicious! The soup of the day was also yummy. Definitely somewhere I’d go back to again.

Great vibe here! Our server Annabelle was super friendly and very attentive. We tried the S.O.B burger and the seasonal spring salad both were tasty. Burger had a bit of kick but not too spicy. Had a special stout which was basically the peanut butter and jelly stout. Peanut butter and chocolate stout mixed with the raspberry wheat beer... Very tasty.

Excellent fries and quesadillas! Beer was exceptional, service was so friendly and fast. I love the system they have of sharing servers and tips. Cash only so come prepared!

Very good service and attitude! Got to taste a bunch of beers, great selection. I got my good time to sit and enjoy a beer on a Friday night before ordering and receiving a perfectly cooked burger. Some of the best vegetarian bar food around. Enjoying the Beers since 2005. Feburary is Stout month; there are 20 some stouts tapped during the month. The general noise level is very high, service is always great. Over the years, any mistakes on orders was made right and who can complain about the free samples? Anyone visiting Boulder should make a stop even if its just to taste the local brew. Taste the FYIPA! Check out the vids for general atmosphere during happy hour.

Pretty rad place!! Stopped in on a Tuesday at 9pm and it was packed with no place for a solo traveler to sit down.. So I came back on a Wednesday at 5pm and was able to snag a table. The staff were all super chill. I tried a few beer samples and ordered a full pour of the cream stout. I also got a burger with fries. It was all delicious and exactly what I wanted after hiking the Chautauqua trails. Them being cash or check only is kinda archaic though!

Ate at Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery last night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very cool atmosphere. The selection is a little limited, but all in our party thought the food was delicious. I especially recommend the Date Night Burger, it's amazing. The only thing that I found a little odd was that you can't pay with a debit card. They do have an ATM onsite and, oddly, will also accept checks. Regardless, we had a good time and enjoyed the food and drinks.

I had the worlds best burger— date night burger. It was so good that I never want to have a burger again unless it is the date night burger. It was spectacular, like Ratatouille visual experiences. If I could marry it, I would. Monumental moment in history. Go here for life changing experiences.

And on March 11, 1986, two brothers called ‘The Weasel Boys’ left Corpus Christi, Texas for Boulder, Colorado after witnessing a beached dolphin being ridden to death by a Texas crowd. They started this restaurant and promised to brew beer in honor of their fallen cetacean friend. It’s the kind of decorations here that make you wonder what kind of Indian designed the walls—call center or casino?

Excellent brews, cool staff, easy HH. Must try the build your own epic grilled cheese. Stout month starts in Feb.

Clark was such a pleasure to meet. He has the perfect energy to match the atmosphere. We noticed him providing great service with an entertaining way! We will come back as often as possible! What a great place with great brews!

Great place! People were smiling and having such a good time outside, drinking 🍺 beers, had to turn around to grab food and a cold brew. Free tasters!!!! Riley #1 (guy) was on point and fast, friendly. Gave good recommendations. We were told that they work closely together as a team , which I loved. I had the Tempeh Reuben - which was amazing for Tempeh! Fresh fries! Yum yum! Boom boom sandwich and the BLT, Blackened Chicken 2.0 all decent :) 7/10 just needed a bit more jalapeño Mayo, on the boom boom needed a bit more of that yummy mushroom taste!! All in all really good !! PS they only take cash 💰 prices were reasonable:)

Great Food and Service! BIG PORTIONS.... Lots of locally brewed beers. Located down on Pearl Street for awesome atmosphere. Owner was the one who sat us and then came back later and checked in. Ee had a party of 11 and got right in at weekday dinner time. We Definitely will be coming, back!

First of all, it's cash only (or check) but it does have an ATM in the back. The vibe was really chill. You're able to sit around and hang out, or stay to your little table. The pictures on the wall are kind of cool. The food was good as well. We went with the cheese fries and the portion was HUGE. They were pretty salty but good. Good snack with beer. Lastly the beer was pretty good as well. They have Cider's for all the people out there not man enough to drink an IPA. I would highly recommend when at the Pearl Street Mall to visit.

Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and provide great service. Great beer, I enjoyed a Korova Cream Stout. Good selection of beers to choose from. I'm a fan of good burgers. They were able to accurately cook it to temperature (medium rare). Their fries are very good as well. They have outdoor seating on the sidewalk so you can enjoy the views. Only catch is that they take cash only, so come prepared. They do have an ATM that charges $1.00 per transaction, which is minimal in comparison. Outside of that, great walkable location in Boulder, great pub style food and brews, and friendly staff.

Amazing food, staff, and ambiance. February 2023 was stout beers month which is way we decided to make today our first visit but it definitely won’t be our last. There was a good amount of paid street parking and a parking garage near by. The food tasted very fresh and delicious. I liked the way the fries were cooked but some may think they are slightly over cooked. All of the waiters share serving duties which makes it really easy to flag someone down to ask questions, order, etc.

Had a great quick meal and beers here with our 1 year old. Staff was extremely accommodating and the food was great. Heads up, cash only so hit the ATM before coming in to sit. Our server was the sous chef but he picked up a serving shift today. Great experience and we will be back next time we are up from Denver.

*This place is cash only* DON'T let that scare you away from it! Come and enjoy free tastes from the bar in the back. Has a good vibe and plenty to look at and visually enjoy. The food is AMAZING. You won't go wrong with any choice here. There are games to play at your table as well. The beer selection is great and they will talk you through what you like in a beer and help you make the best choice. Overall this place is worth a visit, if you live in Boulder, or if you are just in town for the weekend this place is a good bet!

After years of losing touch with Mountain Sun, I finally got to try it again. COVID really threw a wrench but I’m glad they came back. Their burgers and fries are delicious. Simple as that. Sometimes burgers can be too complex but they simplify their concoctions and excel at it. The camaraderie between employees is amazing. Everything is top notch and I support them every time I go to boulder. Don’t change mountain sun!

Delicious burgers and drinks, reasonably priced. Very friendly service at the bar counter in the back. Service was extremely slow, and the food wasn’t too memorable, but we are happy to have come through here.

Great food. Great beer. The portions are HUGE for that price. They let you try beer samples to decide. Tim's chicken quesadillas were so yummm. We'd also ordered the famous fries and nachos. The hummus was chipotle and lime and although I'm bit wary of hummus not tasting like hummus - but theirs was different and in a delicious way. Stop by here whenever you're here in Pearl Street and just want to chill with a pint of beer.

I would rate the flavor a 4 star for the price. Great atmosphere and services, so I give it a 5 for overall experience! Worth to check out and will come back again. #1 they only accept cash or check!!!! (Who carries cash or check around nowadays right? Well, I don’t.) However! They can mail the bill to you! Their customer service is great! #2, food was good and fresh. Didn’t really get the drink, but they provide free samples to you if you want. (We didn’t get any) Had the seasonal menu lamb pita with spinach salad on the side, and it was really really good. All ingredients were tasted really really FRESH!!!! You can just tell that the vegetables are good and fresh. Everything was tasty. My friend got the blue and black burger, and said everything was good.

Great place! Very friendly staff, great service, and great food. I had the fried green tomato sandwich and it was delicious. A bit on the loud side, but not overly. It's a cash/check only establishment so leave the plastic at home.

The food and service here is great, the best part was the positive attitude of the employees. The food was standard bar food and some vegetarian options. My Fiancé and I both had sandwiches. I had the Cheeseburger and my Fiancé had the Monterey Chicken. If you are a beer drinker they had a good number of brewed options.

We went at lunch on a Wednesday, and it was packed. A really cool thing they do is send you to bar while you wait for a table, and you can sample as many beers on tap as you want. My husband and I both had the tempeh Reuben (vegan without cheese) and added mushrooms/onions. It was delicious. And the hand-cut fries were worth the trip alone. All of the servers were attentive and friendly. And the Shadow Mountain Belgian-style stout was my favorite.

Great spot for beers and food. Their Burrito and nachos are amazing. The Java Porter is unique and tastes really good. Just make sure you have cash or cheque since they do not accept any form of cards.

The staff was great, the food was fantastic & I loved the beers I selected! The family had a great time. All of the servers were helpful, as at the end of the day all tips are split evenly. So they were all helpful & friendly. Highly recommend stopping here for a beer, food, & fun!

This place is awesome and every employee is super friendly. It’s a brewery but they have wine and other drinks and food. We stopped in for drinks and an appetizer and everything was delicious. Beer was amazing especially the chocolate dip. Tastes like candy. Cash only place but…I’m so surprised that they have a self-addressed envelope called a karma envelope where if you don’t have the cash you can take it home and send in your bill later, because they don’t accept credit cards. They are also one of the few retail places where they actually cover health insurance for their employees after 60 days of employment. This place has been here 30 years other than a Covid closure! Please support them! Abbey and Collin were awesome servers and the manager, Hope, was awesome too! She stopped to visit with us and we had a nice chat. We were visiting from Minnesota and will definitely return!!!

My boyfriend and I came in when we were passing through town on vacation. This place was amazing! When the bar wasn’t able to make my drink so the general manager Matt came over to me and told me he could try and substitute the ingredient they were missing. He was so incredibly nice and made one of the best Tom Collin’s I have had in a long time. And the food was so good! I am so happy we stopped in because it made my night. Everyone was super friendly and the dinning area looked really nice. If we go through Colorado again this will be the first place we stop.

The manager Riley is rude and terrible. The staff here is amazing and she gives them a terrible name. Make sure you don't have fun here or she will chastise you. She is the absolute worst manager or employee that has ever stepped foot in the door. The staff is usually amazing but Kevin the owner really made a mistake with this one. Don't even bother going while she is working or you'll hate this amazing place
