Stopped here after hiking in the area. They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Craft beer selection is great with all local brew selections. Ordered the brisket sandwich on a sour dough roll and it was outstanding! Very tasty. Service was great too and staff was friendly. Highly recommend!

Went to this restaurant for lunch today. My wife had a veggie burger which she enjoyed greatly! I ordered the wings on the appetizer menu, as I had read that they had the best wings around. The menu stated "Jumbo chicken wings, 6 pieces". The price was $17.00. I thought "wow, that is awful expensive for six chicken wings, but hell, they are jumbo wings so I'm sure it will be fine". Well, nope. I got 6 regular old 1-1/2 to 2" chicken wings with three pieces of celery and three pieces of carrot. The wings were delicious, and the service was good, but the 6 piece regular wings for $17 is a down right rip off. Please respect people's hard earned money and adjust your menu to reflect a fair market price for 6 regular sized chicken wings, as well as an accurate description so that people can order an ample lunch.

Well I made it to the roof top after visiting the bathroom at the bottom of the stairs, nice and clean and quiet there with the local daily paper hung there to glimpse. Was not crowded and got a nice table up top with heat . Looks like the “whisky club” is on hold a few till someone gets here hopefully worth the wait! Whisky club is on hold! Got the beef brisket and pork Sammy, very high quality cuts of meat and very tasty. The Mac an cheese was the bomb! Service on roof top may be a bit slow but over all a great place to eat and take a break! Haden

We're southerners visiting Colorado, and food in the south is good. It's hard to find comparable cuisine, but the Tavern did not disappoint. My wife got fish, and I got a BBQ plate. The food was great, I enjoyed the selection of craft beer, the view from the balcony was nice, and our server Peter was excellent. He didn't hover, fully answered all of our questions, and was always available at just the right moment. It's the best place we've tried during our visit.

We went here after a long hike up to the Royal Arch and back in 50-80 degree weather. We sat in the upstairs room, which was open windowed and had a pleasant barbecue smell from the grill outside. The food we got was delicious and surprisingly lighter than we expected from a barbecue. I got the barbecue pork sandwich and my wife the brisket sandwich. Both entrees came with perfectly cooked fries, and both had house-made pickles included (though for the BBQ pork sandwich it was on the side for some reason). We devoured the sandwiches and all of the fries. Super great food and a great experience.

Happy hour runs Mon-Fri 3-5pm. We stopped by and had a great experience. Good food at pretty good prices. Not a super extensive drink menu, but they had enough.

As a Texan who feels like I know what good BBQ is, this place was FIRE. Especially the brisket. Great beer selection. Attentive staff. Tasty sides. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing and the bartender comped THREE shots on a relatively small tab without even saying anything! (Wish I would’ve noticed before I left.) Will definitely be stopping by anytime I'm in boulder. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Huge whiskey and bourbon selection. Good craft beer selection. Didn't eat on this occasion. Happy Hour deals.

One of the best Buffalo chicken sandwiches I ever had! I asked Zach the bartender for a recommendation and he offered three dishes that all sounded amazing. I stopped in for my first visit on a busy Friday evening and had a quick dinner at the bar. The stsff was attentive and super friendly. They also have a great whiskey selection, including Pappy van Winkle!

Recommended by a friend to come here and we were glad we did! The food was great, loved the atmosphere and the service and food were on point! We had eight friends visiting from out of town and they also loved this restaurant! Highly recommend and will revisit in the again hopefully soon!

Good BBQ, which is hard to find in Boulder! Fun, bluesy atmosphere onsite; great delivery options to feed the entire family.

This was sadly a disappointment. I had a good tip that the wings are amazing. However, the wings were overpriced, by a landslide. $14 for 6 wings. My wife and I ordered 6 wings and one of the BBQ plates that included ribs, pulled pork, and a smoked sausage. One word describes the BBQ plate: dry. I couldn't believe how dry the pulled pork was. So dry and not very smokey. The ribs were also very tough in texture, a huge disappointment. Smoked meats should be juicy and flavorful, not dry and bland. The smoked sausage was spicy, but also dry. I will say the presentation was outstanding. But taking a bite of the smoked meats spoiled the whole feast. The service was okay. Not great. Not terrible. Just okay. I will probably never go here again.

The burger was excellent, nice smokey flavor that must come from the smoker they use for the rest of the barbecue dishes. Crisp fries, warm and inviting atmosphere. The Old Van Winkle whiskey I had was viscous and complex and reasonably priced given how rare it's becoming. Overall very enjoyable.

Hands down the most extensive bourbon selection I’ve seen in my travels. 100% of the bottles are listed in a book and reasonably priced. Some brown I haven’t seen on a shelf in years. Friendly staff and great beer and food selection. Reservations highly recommend days before, even on weekdays. Rooftop a bit stuffy on calm summer days.

Had 2 recent experiences. First, last week, was bad. Mahi sandwich was like leather. Ordered a replacement meal that came out 15 min later after my wife and son had finished. I didn’t eat it and they charged me for it. I sent an email expressing my displeasure and Angela made it all right. She took care of my meal and invited me back. I took my daughter last night and Angela and her team made it a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were great as was the service. I’m always willing to give a second chance when the restaurant admits they could have done better. I’m looking forward to many more meals on the rooftop. Even bought a Dead shirt

Got the butchers plate, which was fine. The burnt ends were super dry. We also had a special Pork Belly Bowl that was phenomenal. Hope they add that to the menu.
