Fresh sushi and great poke bowls. Loved the orgasm roll, but it was a bit filling. Wife loved the multiple orgasm (mostly for the fried pieces and cream cheese, but also double entendre intended) I'd recommend the pure sushi and sashimi route as all the cross ordering was a bit weird.

The sushi was amazing. Curry Katsu was not bad. The katsu was decent and the curry is little too light. It did come with a super large portion of rice which I ended up not finishing. Really enjoyed the sushi though. Recommend coming here for that.

I ordered delivery from Uber Eats and spent 90 dollars for two people, so I was surprised by the small portion when receiving the order. Magic mushroom doesn’t taste good at all, salmon is tasteless and together with the creamy sauce it’s even a little disgusting… Water eel sushi roll and shrimp tempura roll are okay but very plain. Eel was a little unfresh and has fishy stinky odor. We also ordered orgasm roll which was recommended, but it was really not worth the money. Too much sauce and very plain taste…… The Japanese understanding for sushi and sashimi is that these preparation methods can best preserve the original fresh taste of the food, but with this amount of mayonnaise on top of everything, I seriously doubt.

DEAR GOD YES. YES. ABSOLUTELY. THIS IS A MUST. also gluten free happy hour options? Shut the front door. Amazing. Chefs kiss. I would ✨ literally ✨ kiss this chef right on the mouth. There’s these magic mushroom appetizer thing - order it. Unless you hate delicious salmon things.

Fun place for innovative sushi. One of our goto places on Pearl Street mall. Flavorful and interesting rolls. We have been here more than a dozen times and had only one minor anomaly, but even then they were super anxious to make things right. Staff is friendly and attentive, thanks for the great service Izzie!

We reserved a spot on Open Table, but were running late. We gave them a call and they moved our reservation to give us time to get there safely. Once there, the hostesses sat us & Henry was our sushi chef. He is incredible! I highly recommend requesting him when you book a spot. Our server is great too, but I can’t remember her name…sorry 😭

Excellent all around! Just the perfect place to go out! Way more than sushi and a banana split that my mother said was "the best dessert of her entire life!"

Pretty cool environment inside. It gets pretty busy even on weekday nights. Sushi was really good! Fish tasted fresh. We ordered the dragon vegetable roll (my absolute favorite!! - you will LOVE this one if you love eggplant!) The Hamachi roll (a bit spicy) and the Mork and Mindy (with mandarin).

Had lunch on a Monday. Place was pretty crowded but it was also July 3 so maybe it was holiday. Food was great and there was lots of it. I had a poke bowl which was good. My wife had the ramen which was also very good. Nice choice for lunch.

Fresh and tasty sushi 🍣 😋 Wonderful staff and great atmosphere, we'll be coming back for more. EDIT: Went back a few weeks later, and it's still great. Highly reccomend the mochi ice cream!

While some of the numbers can be intimidating, certainly a worthwhile dining experience. The sake flights allowed us to be curious and our server was just phenomenal. The lobster-tail sushi was stand-alone, but especially ending with warm sake. Incredible. Thanks so much to Joe and staff!

Thank you Hapa for another amazing meal. I have loved going to hapa, especially during happy hour on Pearl for almost 20 years. Their ramen is amazing too with the sake soaked boiled eggs, what a great touch. Thank you so much for supporting all of the Marshall Fire families with a gift card. We have so enjoyed it!

Such a superb experience. I have been dinning at Hapa for years and it never disappoints. The ambience of the restaurant inside and outdoors is tranquil. I feel I tend to be a bit more picky about sushi, and Hapa has always exceeded my expectations of delicious sushi. My personal go-to roll is either the multiple orgasm or orgasm roll. Definitely worth trying out! I feel like the service is fair. The staff has always been welcoming. There have been occasions beverages didn't get refilled until after I've finished eating, which is tough when you're eating pretty spicy sushi! The staff may be spread thin though due to current shortage.

Great fusion with creative dishes (and names) and friendly service - it’s been nearly twenty years since the Pearl st location’s been opened, and Hapa continues to thrive, with good reason. The mix of Hawaiian, Japanese, and local cuisines gave the family a wide range to choose from (i.e. everyone found dishes they could love).

There's an interesting water feature that flows around the sushi bar and they also have outdoor seating. It was not too busy when I arrived and while I was the only one at the sushi bar the host sat me in the corner in a less desirable spot that didn't have a sushi board nor the water feature. No one sat there the whole time I was there which made that odd to me. The sushi was pretty tasty. I also got the tonkotsu ramen special. The bowl is huge. The broth is pretty good but not amazing. The noodles and meat were overcooked but still good with the broth. Sake and beer choices are good.
