Great Neapolitan pizza with crisp crust that has a slight char. This isn't your typical greasy, cheese loaded pizza, it's light and airy with high quality toppings. We tried the Margherita, Diavola and Salsiccia, all three were excellent. We also ordered the zucchini fritte, super thin crispy slices of fried zucchini with a good spicy aioli sauce. The Budino dessert was good along with the unique yuzu pineapple basil gelato. Drinks and service were also excellent, highly recommend!

Amazing pizza!! Dough is so soft, fluffy, and delicious. There is a gluten-free option for an extra charge, which is pretty tasty as well but a bit thicker and crunchier. The heirloom tomato and burrata salad was very refreshing. They didn’t have tiramisu that day so I’ll be back to try that. On the pricier side, but you can tell they use great quality ingredients and everything was delicious.

Delicious pizza! I ate almost a whole one myself. Delicious wine as well. We sat outside in one of the globes, which had heating (this was in the late spring) and its own sound system. Perfect for a special date night or when the parents come to town.

Our waiter forgot us more than once. While we were outside , he was outside often, he enjoyed a couple near us that shared their wine with him Regardless, we requested cheese and pepper sprinkles for our already moderately warm pizza and waited about ten minutes. We were outside so I went inside. Saw our waiter E, chatting with various people, apparently that is what he does best at. Asked for cheese and pepper. Someone else eventually brought out one tiny serving, approximately two tablespoons of each product and left. Asked for water twice. Waiter came to apologize when he realized someone had just brought out our long awaited for cheese and pepper sprinkles, and said he was sorry he forgot us twice. I said, so was I. He said let me see what I can do. He went in, came out, and brought plates out to near by table. Nothing. Zero. Crickets. Could not do a review giving zero stars, but this experience doesn't deserve one star. No attempt to make this right. Waiter did offer to fill empty water glasses when he brought out the check. Must have been a bad night for our waiter, it sure was a bad night for us to try this place out.

So fabulous. We got the pork belly appetizer and the diavola pizza and both were fantastic. I also got an aperol spritz which was so delicious. Service was amazing and can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!!!

I wouldn't be disappointed with this pizza if I was eating it in Naples. But it's in Boulder, CO. And that's just crazy good. Also shout out to our amazing server Ella. Rockstar.

We have seen this place a few times but never had the chance to go in and grab a bite. Today we did. Staff was great. The pizza was amazing. The draft beer could be a little bit colder but they sure deserve a 5 star review. My son loved to see them making the pizzas.

Absolutely delicious pizza made fresh in front of you. All the ingredients are high quality and the dough and cheese are perfect. The Diablo pizza was extremely tasty and the octopus salad as well. Laid back ambience. Very sweet and hard working staff. A must try. Will be back soon

Made a reservation for Sunday night. It was quite busy and we had to wait a bit. We started with the Aracinos which were similar to fried mac and cheese balls. They were pretty good. To drink we ordered a bottle of red wine which was recommended by our waitress and was delicious. We each got a personal pizza for our meals. They have plenty of options and interesting combinations. The favorite was the Diavola pizza. For desert we had burnt honey gelato, saltimboca con Nutella, and budino. Our favorite was the gelato, it was some of the best we’ve ever had because it was just so flavorful. The Saltimbocca was also very good as it is hard to go wrong with bread and Nutella. However, we wouldn’t order the Budino again. Pizzeria Loacale is one of our favorites and a spot we always recommend.

Delicious pizza, very well made with extremely rich flavors. Perfect snack after hiking the flat iron trails. Nice and clean establishment with quick service. Felt authentic and hits the perfect spot. You’ll be glad you stopped here for a pizza.

Feels a bit overrated. The atmosphere is cool, but I really don't know the vibe its trying to achieve. Trendy, industrial, modern? Anyways, the food is solid. Lots of variety on pizzas. I'm not personally a lover of their dough, but it is good enough. A bit too dense for me. Lots of appetizers to choose from. All in all, I'd say it's a bit too pricey for what you get.

Super solid food and service! I’d only say it was too expensive - plan to not get drinks because they are rink and almost cost as much as an entire pizza. $30-$40+ per person with tax to eat a meal and have one small drink. Great Neapolitan style pizzas here - everyone was impressed! I’ll def be back if I’m in the area and craving this style pizza. I just won’t get drinks next time.

Food was delish! We stopped in here after hiking the Royal Arch Trail and were ready to refuel our bodies. We ordered the meatballs, a spinach salad and the pizza with the Yukon gold potatoes…and all of it was excellent! I was a little skeptical about pizza with potatoes on it but we were pleasantly impressed. The spot is super cute and we were able to walk the Pearl Street Mall after.

I'm rarely impressed by restaurants but was thoroughly impressed by Pizzeria Locale. Everything we ate here was unique and well crafted. The pies were innovative yet the flavors were well balanced and unique! The desserts were understated yet satisfying! Our waitress was great too and went out of her way to cater to specific diet preferences of our group! Great tasty vegetarian options here!

Delicious pizza and a few really creative , sophisticated combinations! Came out pretty fast for a fresh baked pizza too! Pizza was definitely on the greasy side and it compromised the crust and made it all slide off, but it definitely could’ve been from the homemade sausage which was delicious 😋 🤌🏼 Nice view up the street, definitely off the Main Street if you want to get a little bit off the pearl street mall and away from the crowds

A wonderful place to eat on a beautiful summer day in Boulder, after walking the Pearl Street Mall. I indulged in a delectable margarita pizza here, baked in a wood-fired oven that heated it up to 800 or 900 degrees Fahrenheit for a short period of time. The oven was imported from Naples, and theu drizzled the pizza with olive oil from Sicily. I loved the mix of doughy crust and a bit of char. There are few things more delightful than an upscale, elegant pizzeria in a college town, and this one certainly fits that category. I do wish it had a little stronger atmosphere, but that's nitpicking. The food is great, the business is well-run and elegant, and I guarantee you will love it here if you are one of the 90% of people that adores pizza.

This would be a 4.5 if possible. Pizzeria Alberico still lives up to the Frasca hospitality, meeting the same high levels of service while serving unique flavor combinations. Not my first time in, and certainly not my last. The Arancini is a favorite that my SO and i get every time. This time we went ahead and tried the Arancini with Nduja. While i thought it was superb, he thought it was a bit over-seasoned. We also had the meatballs which were a bit under seasoned, but then figured out that the sauce is definitely a necessity for this dish. Lastly we got a pizza to share and whilst the name slips me, it had very thinly sliced prosciutto and artichoke. Still a very enjoyable meal and definitely walked away feeling satisfied.

Exceptional experience that one would expect from a restaurant owned by the former wine manager from the legendary French Laundry. Menu offers many selections, staff knowledgeable and friendly. Food exceptional. My treat for today? Quattro Formaggi pizza with mozzarella, taleggio, gorgonzola, grana padano, Calabrian chili honey. Boom 💥 Dessert, Apeeol Spritz with aperol, prosecco, soda (perfect drink for a 95 degree day in Boulder.

Mushroom Disaster I was really looking forward in the eating here. The reviews were great. I ordered the Fungi White Pizza which is normally a big personal favorite. Then I tasted it. It was awful. The dough part was good. Actually perfect. Chewy yet crunchy with a pleasant flavor. BUT. They skimped on the mushrooms. And they had been diced very small. The disaster, however were the red onions that appeared to have been soaked in brine. There was no way to taste the feeble serving of mushrooms through the intense acid flavor from the onions. Why???? So the waitress asked if all was good, and after I told her of my dismay she immediately got me additional mushrooms whic then did battle with the picked red onion. OK at this point. Also, the pictures online showed plump mushrooms which is not what I got Bottom line is that I did not eat it all. Not an auspicious start. I’ll probably give it one more chance since the waitress was helpful and the ambiance was good.

As a favorite from earlier days, we were excited to try the “new” Pizzeria Alberico. It has a very similar feel of the old Locale, which we always enjoyed. It has a nice casual elegance to it. The addition of outdoor seating is wonderful. We were lucky to dine on a cool summer evening and sitting outside was lovely. The food was delicious, as expected. The pizza crust was light and airy and the flavor combinations worked well together. The drinks were refreshing and very light; however, they took ages to make it to our table. Our appetizers arrived before our cocktails and there were only two of us. Not sure what happened there. I do wonder about the prices as they were quite high, especially the cocktails. Overall it was a nice meal and will go back. Not sure if it’s our “go to” spot though given the costs.
