First, I would like to leave a shining review for our server Nile. We dined outdoors today 10/13 and it was really cold out. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He was efficient and courteous. We will be back! Thank you Nile! The food was excellent we had the pretzel, kale salad, and rotisserie chicken. Exquisite!

The quality of the food was 10% value for the price of the meal. Seriously folks. I have no issue paying high prices for good quality food. Bought the best stuff on the menu. Everything was substandard!! Totally embarrassing. Brought high end clients out to dine. Wow. Even when one of my clients requested a simple replacement of sides on an entree there was a huge ordeal made about having to have a food allergy or dietary restriction before the chef would accommodate the request. They literally came back and forth to the table three times about a simple request to have arugula vs another vegetable. Totally bad vibe across the board. Would like a full refund. To save my clients even further embarrassment I simply paid the $400+ for the meal so there was not more unpleasantness for the evening. Never again folks!!

Called and made an 8:00 reservation for our anniversary, arrived at 7:55 and was told there was no reservation for us. They did manage to squeeze us in at a two top against the wall. Alexis was our server, and she was the best part of our evening! My husband ordered the Pork dish which was a stunner! Complex flavors, tons of depth to the sauces and tender pork. I ordered the Hanger steak, medium rare. It was served rare, like raw, purple, rare. It has a sear on one side, but the other side was rare to the edge like it was flipped for a second and plated. I asked them to put it back on for a minute and it was returned in the same condition. I shared my husband's dish and ate around the edges of mine because I was so hungry! I mentioned to my husband that I was glad we didn't get the $100 ribeye if this is what they did to a little hanger steak! Alexis brought me a second glass of wine, "on the house" and the manager stopped by the table, but he didn't actually seem interested in my feedback on the dish. He even said something to the effect of, "well, I gave you a glass of wine." Sir, I didn't come to have wine as my main course! Alas, I had such high hopes after reading other reviews but it sadly missed the mark for our evening.

One of the best restaurants in Boulder. Nice decor, excellent food, great service. Two couples shared the Korean pork shoulder. It was fantastic! The pork was incredibly tender and juicy and served up with hot, spicy kimchi. Loved all the little side dishes that were served along with it with items such as roasted garlic and diced green apple. The kale salad had a slight sweetness to it that offset any natural bitterness. We also shared the hamachi appetizer and realized when we tasted it we should have ordered one each. We actually got to take home some leftover pork. There’s a lot of food there, and it made for great leftovers. I would like to see the restaurant, expand the wine menu.

Fresh, light and harvesty flavors. Enjoyed the crisp mushrooms and roasted carrots. The fish and sweet pea ceviche were also 🔥 and then the roasted chicken and leeks were juicy and perfectly prepared. The sauce game is on point here - every dish is glazed or dipped into a complimentary flavor that enhances the flavor. Great wine menu as well! Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

We went to Oak last night for my birthday. The best part of the restaurant is Craig Biggins, the Director of their wine program and general manager. The wine list was small, but excellent. His wine knowledge is quite helpful. The kale salad was nice and chopped up but I think it needed a little more acid. My wife ordered the fish and she wasn’t thrilled.. I ordered the lamb chop, which ended up being a chintzy portion and 35% of it was fat. So that was a big disappointment. The biggest disappointment was that this is the first time.EVER for a family birthday that they did not offer a complementary dessert. In fact, you even have to pay for the bread. So when we left, we were hungry. This is extra disappointing because they had a surcharge to help pay the salaries of the staff. However, the ambience, the excellent customer service, and brilliance in wine redeem the restaurant, and gives it a 4 rating.

There were several Asian fusion dishes here and I very much enjoy this style of food. We ordered the Korean pork shoulder and it was phenomenal. It’s a VERY big plate for just two people so we ate it over several meals after and it was still delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and it’s very similar to one of our favorite restaurants in Aspen, Co. I felt like ordering every item on the menu and I will go back for something different and leave another review !

Wow. I’m blown away by the attention to detail, the hospitality, the delicious food. All around one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.

Sat at the bar. No one felt responsible for me. Talked to different bar tender, no one introduced themselve. Their house Martini was good. The curious George reminded me of a cheap beach town cocktail. Had scampi for appetizer, menu didn't say that it was mostly pasta. No one checked if food was ok. Taste was good though.

What a wonderful place. Lucky us, Eli who works here was having dinner with us that night and recommended the food. For the French picky eater that I am, everything was absolutely delicious and flavourful. Our waiter Connor was attentive and more so fun spirited.

Modern place with high end cuisine. Would absolutely go here for a special occasion anytime. The wine selection is good and not overwhelming. The cocktails are sweeter than I thought and the pana cotta is perfect. Highly recommend the duck with the lentils- the spice level is perfect.

3.5/5 Sharing my insights on the recent dining experience. The service and ambiance were exemplary, setting a remarkable tone. However, turning attention to the culinary aspect, the scallop, while exhibiting a subtle hint of fishiness, compensated admirably with commendable flavors and a pleasing texture. Conversely, the dried-aged ribeye fell short, lacking in both flavor and succulence. Certain portions displayed a fibrous consistency, indicative of potential overcooking, resulting in a challenging texture. I didn't notice any of the dried age flavor in a dried aged steak. Despite high expectations, the dish failed to meet anticipated standards. Contrarily, the potatoes and caramelized onions proved to be a culinary highlight, showcasing exceptional quality. The lamb, unfortunately, presented a dry texture and a deficiency in flavor. It is worth noting, however, that the carrot stood out as an excellent component of the meal. Overall, the dining experience encompassed a mix of impressions, with notable moments of culinary excellence and areas that left room for improvement.

Oak is one of our favorite restaurants and after all these years, the food is still excellent! Had dinner with friends this time and everyone enjoyed the meal. We began with Focaccia, an Apple and Kale Salad and Burrata di Stefano… all tasty. Then I had the Colorado Lamb Two Ways (rack and sausage). Didn’t know what to expect but it was perfectly cooked. Paired the meal with a full bodied Oratorio ‘19 as an ideal accompaniment. Can’t wait to get back there again.

Had a great meal here. The service is good. The food is healthy and gourmet style. Really enjoyed my fish. The apps were also delicious. Parking around this area can be tight which is a slight inconvenience. Overall I’d come back to try it again. No complainants!

Great meal at Oak! We had the Halibut, Short ribs and the Vanilla Panna Cotta! Great presentation and very tasty. The service was good and the staff was friendly. Not a huge fan of a 6% service charge due to the current economic conditions though.

Came here for my birthday and did not disappoint. The food here is handled with care and the coordination of the staff is impeccable. I grew up in a restaurant family so seeing the perfect timing between courses was on point. Delicious dishes. Would recommend the crispy rice sharable/small plate and the zucchini entree. We ordered the chocolate ice box for dessert which is nice to split amongst two - very rich and dense for just one person. Was nice – they placed a candle in the slice for me.

This place left me speechless. The staff, bartenders and chefs know what taste good, and the service was top notch. Every single dish and cocktail blew my taste buds away. The bartender even created drinks for me that weren’t on the menu. The knowledge and experience that each staff member has you can tell is A+ and they are all super friendly and informative about the menu. I’m from New Orleans and my man is from NYC and we are both food snobs and we walked out that place thinking why haven’t we been to OAK sooner. Best restaurant I’ve been to in Boulder. Will definitely be back.

We had a team event at this restaurant and the food was excellent. It was definitely Michelin star worthy. We ordered all the appetizers and my favorite was the tempura fried mushrooms. I also shared the $120 steak with a friend it was a very healthy portion for two and the meat was sublime.

First time out in Boulder for inside dining in a long time. Overall great experience as our table split the Korean pork shoulder (a 3-5 person portion). Easily satisfied four hungry men with leftovers to go. Salads and shiitake appetizer were also quite good.

I was tasked with planning a dinner in Boulder CO, while I am in New Jersey. Those at Oak were pleasant to speak with and helpful during both of my phone calls to the restaurant. We had a phenominal waitress we practically gave a standing ovation to. The manager and sommelier was simply fantastic. Everyone I came across during my CO trip heard about the fantastic meal and experience at Oak. Anytime I find myself back in Colorado I will certainly be stopping back for a glass of wine and those melt in your mouth scallops and bursting tomatoes over gnocchi!! Thank you for a wonderful evening Oak!

Amazing restaurant, very interesting menu and well executed. Everything was perfect from mushroom tempura, kale salad, freshly baked pretzel, roasted pumpkin to perfectly tender venison. My 11month old enjoyed parsnip puree as well.
