So we came the other day and didn't have a great experience. I wrote a review, it wasn't a particularly great review. The gm himself reached out personally and made himself available to help make our next experience one to remember. It was a fantastic night. I cannot recommend under the sun enough. We were here in town for a funeral of a family member, and made reservations for our reception. It was wonderful. The perfect way to cap off a rough weekend. I can't thank everyone enough here at under the sun enough. The service was excellent, even for those in our party who have food allergies. The food was incredible and obviously the beer was fantastic. I must give a personal thank you to the servers working our party, especially the one lady working our party, I didn't catch her name but she was great. As a server/bartender myself it was refreshing. She helped me try some different beers that were great as well as offering me one beer, with the bartenders permission of course, that is not yet on the menu. A beautiful ipa, with lovely citrus notes to start with a subtle smooth vanilla finish. The McQuerry family cannot thank the crew of Under the sun enough. Thank you Ethan

The best wings I have ever eaten, honestly. That includes Korean styled wings. We also had the loaded fries with the green chili gravy. I think this was the best restaurant we dined while we were on vacation.

Always have nice staff and good drinks, great service over all. 3 stars until they fix their pizza. The other food is great especially the beat salad. Pizza regularly gets burnt and somehow the crust is always floppy. If pizza wasn’t in the name of the restaurant I’d give them a break but it’s pretty consistently meh.

i got the grilled cheese off the kids menu and my friend got some kind of bbq pizza, both which were really good! loved the fries and our sever was super friendly. definitely recommend! also came back to try the desert and it was pretty good!

This place is amazing! It’s by far the best pizza we’ve had in Colorado and everything else that we’ve tried off of the menu has been equally good. We went twice in a week and the food and staff were fantastic each time. You’ll be stuffed after eating pizza, but do yourself a favor and save some room for the oven-baked cookie, you won’t regret it!

Amazing entree specials! I just had the scallop risotto and wow, best scallops I've ever had (in Colorado of all places). The menu offers something for everyone along with wonderful beer, wine, and cocktail choices.

We headed here to Under the Sun Pub after a hike. It was a wonderful, sunny Colorado day and wanted to sit outside. We were surprised how large this place was, and the had plenty of picnic bench seating outside. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were just in for a small bite, so we went with the truffle fries and a few beers. The portion for the fries was generous, which was perfect to share. The fries were delicious and just what we needed. The beer list was good... Nothing too extensive, but they seemed to have a nice range. I went with the Belgian Triple which was smooth and delicious. They also have pizza here which we didn't try, so we will have to stop by here again sometime.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding that rented out the restaurant for an evening. I must say, I'm in big venues regularly, and the service these guys had for food was exceptional, even with a large group that filled the space. They kept things well restocked, the food was super tasty, they had Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Vegan options, and to kick it all off were so friendly and kind. You can't do better than that! I'd highly recommend for a regular meal, OR, if you want to go the event route with them they will knock it out of the park for you!

RACISM in Boulder?! I am an Asian American Citizen, and I live in Boulder and I've never experienced anything like this before. I was at the establishment around 7:30pm on a Monday, and there were a couple groups of people that cut us in line and a few of the employees completely disregarded the fact that we were in line first and seated these two groups of white people first, and when I confronted them by saying: "Excuse me, we were waiting in line", and the customers that cut us were saying "Oh we are too" like they were expected to be served first, and the most appalling thing is that the employees still served them first. It was the most infuriating experience I've ever had in any establishment. Thankfully, there was a very kind server, her name was Sky, she was extremely nice and friendly, who helped us and apologized on behalf of the other staff and the rudeness of the customers. Absolutely ridiculous to have that much OVERT RACISM in Boulder. I would honestly retrain the staff. Food was good, beer was good, but I am leaving 1 star for the experience I had.

A lot of the same food options as the above restaurant if you’ve been to that one. Same exact beer options similar entrées. This place sells pizza in addition though and it looked pretty good, I didn’t get it though. The service seems to be better for under the sun than it is upstairs and this place seems more kid/family friendly version than the upstairs. I got the boneless wings and they were pretty darn good and tender. The General Tso’s was not very spicy though just seem like teriyaki sauce

Great food. Great beer. Awesome employees, who were very engaging and never missed a beat with the service. We are never disappointed when we eat here! My husband had the meat lovers pizza, which I managed to steal a piece or two. The bacon was so crispy and delicious. I had the mixed green salad with the most delicious balsamic dressing. You guys rock!

Went for happy hour to try the $5 margarita pizza and have to give 5 stars for effort - without me asking they remade my pizza due to it being burnt, however, my 2nd pizza looked and tasted nothing like the first. Neither was good or bad, but the $5 HH truffle fries were delicious. Worth the try! Edit: re-heated the 2nd pizza in the oven and it was 11/10 - be back soon!

Meatballs, beet salad and pizza were all amazing. Very friendly attentive service and generally an awesome vibe. Food is light fresh and delicious. The pizza is thinner and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach and feeds two ( if you order starters). They only take cash and have an ATM onsite. Also good beer selection.

"Jumbo" overpriced wings were just normal wings, actually smaller than Domino's pizza wings. Bartender service was attentive and speedy.

Absolutely best boneless wings ever, tender and juicy. We ordered three pizzas so each of us tried all 3. White cheese one was great, Ricotta Truffle tasted outstanding and Meat Lovers was on the salty side. Crust was thin and had excellent taste from the wood fired oven. Great atmosphere, at moments too noisy.

Came here for brunch and got the torta with a few friends. Also had the black Manhattan cocktail (I had to add my own ice, as my friend pointed out “cocktails are not their specialty here”) The torta was ok and the salad that came with it was nice and refreshing BUT I don’t think I would ever order that again especially at $16! I am losing faith in the quality of meals in Colorado vs the cost of it - I do get that the economy dictates some price increases but I simply wouldn’t go out of my way for this meal. My friends both got French toast which was average in my opinion. The doughnuts were for the teenagers we were with and I tried one and also not anything I would wanna go out of my way for, the ricotta dip was nice though! Still giving the five star as I believe in supporting local business and a lack of exceptional shouldn’t lower overall ratings IMO - but that’s just how I feel :)

An amazing event venue. The management and staff work seamlessly together to make the evening a superb experience! The framework of this venue is such that you can make the space your own. Last night this restaurant transitioned into an amazing event space. There is room enough for seating and a large dance floor, the ceiling height even presented room for the Hora. The venue also included patio space and was ADA accommodating so everyone could be a part of the night. The management and staff worked together as a team in preparing for the evening and when glitches surfaced with the decorator in preparing the centerpieces, the team was helpful and effective with brainstorming solutions. The chef was very mindful and accommodating as several guests had severe allergies, and required special meal preparations, that were unknown prior to the evening. This amazing chef (Max) managed to meet the unique dietary needs of several guests and did so unplanned and in an instant, with such care and clever creativity, that those served, asked about locating the ingredients for themselves in the future, they loved the food! I must say I just had the cookie from last night for breakfast, and it was deliciously soft and not too sweet, with undertones of oatmeal and whole wheat. I can’t say enough good things about this venue, the staff, management and most of all the food. A guest approached me after receiving his dietary unique meal, and told me they were at a similar event in New York in times square a few months ago, and though it was obvious the New York event was more grandiose, this event here at Under the Sun, would be the one this guest would choose to attend if given the option of attending only 1. We LOVE Under the Sun! Their pizza is delicious, the staff is so nice and fun, and their happy hour deals can’t be beat. This visit, we got a margarita pizza (delicious), $5 margs (taste fine, good pour), and truffle fries (a huge serving). We’ve also gotten beer and some of their specialty pizzas at previous visits. A fun, cozy local spot that I highly recommend.

Stoped here for lunch after a morning hike on a Saturday. Everything we ordered was amazing! Highly recommend getting the shareable brussel sprouts and donuts! The vegan pizza was delicious 👌
