😠 Ridiculous prices for the smallest portions—are things worth the price? NO. Check out the picture (lighter included for comparison). Plus, fish tastes store bought, like it’s been sitting out forever. Might as well get it at King Soopers (the vibe and taste is better there). People often mention bowl, good, poke, roll, order,

I am only giving 3 stars today. The flavors are always good, but the last few times the portions are much smaller then they have been in the past!? It seems they cut down on the rice they put in the bowls. One of the cheapest ingredients! I used to be always full after having one of these bowls, now I am still hungry. For a bowl that cost with an extra topping, tax, tip at least 18 dollars I find it to be expensive for a "fast food" place. Plus they forgot today to put one of the ingredients in as well. A bit disappointing, still yummy tho.

Maybe it is my lack of understanding of the Spanish language & culture, but I personally wouldn't call a roll barely 1.5 inches of diameter a "burrito". Looking at the other pictures, it seems that you don't exactly get the same product between dine-in and take out, probably because they would get this returned immediately in one of the two scenarios. I would advise anyone ordering take out to open the box they give you before leaving, so you don't get the surprise too late at home that this is what $18 buys you and go to bed on an almost empty stomach.

Although not my favorite kind of food, this place delivers very yummy and healthy food for a reasonable price!

So many options. You absolutely can't beat the prices for the amount of fresh, delicious sushi you get. So many great flavors wrapped up into a giant sized sushi roll. Does it get any better? I mistakenly forgot to request an item be left out of my sushi and as soon as I mentioned I couldn't have it they happily and quickly made my order without that ingredient (avacado). Highly, highly recommend going here any and every chance you get!

Motomaki is casual and fresh. Sometimes when everything on the menu looks delicious, I just order the first thing on the menu. I ordered the Island tuna poke roll. The roll was a creative mouth full of joy. The flavors were awesome, I have no idea what the sauce was and there was a crunch. Basically a Japanese burrito. I could eat at this place everyday. The tuna poke was tasty.

Usually this place is great. Saturdays have not been, and the 8/27/22 crew was particularly bad. Self-order register was down and no one was working the employee register. We asked the employee right next to it, who was trying his hardest to ignore us, if anyone was working the register. He said he was the register but he was restocking right now so he wouldn’t take our order. He started actually stocking items after we asked. Without employee assistance we figured out how to reset the self register to order. Then every table was dirty. We had to clean one ourselves before using it. The cooks in the orange shirts were busy but both employees in gray-brown shirts were doing nothing the whole time we were here. This has been our go-to quick place in Boulder but def recommend avoiding it on weekends. Edit: the fork was dirty too. Had to wash that myself. The food was excellent as always.

7/4/22- On the pricier side of poke places. The appetizer we got had very little salmon in it and was emptier then their display one looked. The taro chips were good. The bowls are a good size, but are very rice heavy when compared to the toppings. I would be willing to eat here again when I'm in the area.

They used to be amazing but lately they always mess up the order. Last time they gave me a rice onion roll (they didn’t even put fish on the sushi roll) 😂 The manager is super nice and explained that that the tuna Poke comes with huge chunks of raw onions (not listed in the menu) last time we ordered here!!!

Food is usually good, but with multiple people placing orders in our group, there's almost always something wrong or missed. For being as expensive as it is, nothing should be missed or incorrect. I hesitate to go back, this has happened several times over a couple years.

Not very professional...... 2 bites in and I found a hair on the bottom of my cucumber...going talk to someone.... glad I didn't go far. Food was good otherwise. 🙈🥴😆

Ordered a tuna poke bowl online. Got a text 5 min later it was ready. It’s delicious and hit the spot. Would come here again for sure :)

Place is so awesome ❗️. Love the burritos. I like that they have a kiosk or order at cashier. Everyone is nice here and food is the best‼️

Pretty solid food and very fast service. I enjoyed the buzzer system for knowing when your food was ready. I was a little taken aback by the pricing though. Food and any kind of drink is going to get you in the ballpark of $20. I'd expect a little more portion for that price, but that was pretty much my only issue.

I've only tried the bowls and they are delicious! So many choices or make your own custom bowl. Prices are right and the Happy hour (2-5?) deals are the best!

The bowl was a good portion, but when I inquired about a food allergy, the staff wasn’t helpful. The store was busy, so I understand the workers may have felt rushed. However, I would’ve expected them to be knowledgeable about the menu ingredients enough to know if a sauce had dairy in it or not. Additionally, I understand that avocado costs extra, but I am disappointed in the tiny portion that was given.

The Hawaiian salmon bowl was amazing. The shrimp tempura was a bit sweet but still good. Staff was a bit unpleasant.

I'm not a big fan of poke bowls but these were delicious. We ordered the shrimp tempura and a chicken one but I forgot the name. Although the chicken one was good, the shrimp was my favorite. You do get plenty of chicken though. Don't pay attention to the pictures I uploaded. The presentation was so much nicer. I had already dug into the shrimp one before I took the picture.

Update: the manager of the store did reach out after I posted this to apologize and take the Poke off my card. Appreciate it! Hope you guys get back to the awesome quality we’ve come to know and love. Original: so I’ve loved Motomaki since it came to 29th st. Went today, and was so disappointed with what I received. The tuna poke was so sad looking, and the taste was comparable. The taro chips that came with it were all crushed up, so essentially useless as a vehicle for the poke. The shrimp tempura burrito was okay, but how are you charging $34 for all of this??? Please get it together.

I saw good reviews so decided to give this place a shot, as other poke places were closed due to Easter Sunday. I ordered the Island Tuna Poke bowl and added salmon poke. Unfortunately, I paid upwards of $26 for the bowl and the bowl was mostly rice with an overwhelming amount of some sort of mayo dressing. As an avid fish eater, the bowl did not have enough fish to justify such a high price point of $26. The service was fast which is why I didn't give this place one star. I'm never coming back here and if you want to do yourself a favor, save your money because you do not get what you pay for.

One of my favorite spots! I love sushi and this place is great fresh options. You can have things wrapped up in nori seaweed or in bowl. They also have a few options that don’t have fish. I love the Kalbi Beef Bowl that has kimchi. It’s my social go to spot when I’m down in Boulder and need a quick bite.
