Overall they have awesome subs, always great quality and taste great. The reason for the 4 stars, is because the lady handling where people sit seemed to have some issues. We told her when we first came in we wanted an outdoor spot to sit, which at the time there were none. Within the 30 minutes we waited in line to order our subs we saw several groups allowed to go sit in the patio. When I asked her if we could sit out there she said there were no more seats, and I said we have been here for way longer then the 2 groups you just let go sit out there, she replied “it’s a complicated system” and huffed and puffed and got all frustrated. On top of that they had groups sitting out there that were done eating since we arrived, 40 minutes later by the time we got our food they were still out there, kind of a problem when you have a while 4 tables outside that can be used. Don’t go on Saturdays around lunch, takes about 40-50 minutes to order and get your sub.

What did we park in front of? Man, let me tell you that this spot is absolutely OUTSTANDING‼️ We grabbed a quick bite to eat before we went to the University of Colorado Buffaloes spring game. What a great choice we made‼️ The menu board was so HUGH, I didn't even get it in the whole picture‼️😆 You can get a 7 inch or a 14 inch sub warm or cold. I can tell you the service is top notch and subs were delicious‼️‼️‼️ I didn't get a beer, but I did get a pitcher of a mixed punch drink called the N'awlins Hurricane.....Woooooo Weeeeee‼️ This drink was ON POOOOOOINT‼️ I will be back in Boulder from South Florida hopefully sometime during the regular college football season. This sub shop is a blessing for University of Colorado and the surrounding community‼️ I was definitely throughly impressed‼️ #SKOBUFFS 💯💪🏾🏈🦬😁

I really love this place but they did not verify the right person to give the door dash order to. Unfortunately it sucks for customers like me who order door dash and someone is able to come in and take it without anyone making sure it's the right person. This delayed my order by over an hour. Great food and good people but I think they are missing the small step to make sure the right person gets the order. Thank you to Jake for helping make sure the second time we ordered it got to the right person 😁 EDIT Thanks for the reply Fred, it is all very unfortunate how this all ended up falling short. This is my first experience with any kind of issue like this, if this is an ongoing issue and directly affecting your business hopefully door dash can figure that out. Personally I have never had this be an issue before at your restaurant or any other.

Went to this awesome sub sandwich restaurant for lunch while University of Colorado Boulder was on summer break. An amazing list of menu choices (with or without proteins) and three sizes of subs available: 4-, 7-, and 14-inches. Laid back atmosphere and friendly service. Lots of seats and tables inside as well as outside patio, but parking is on-street and can be a little tough to find. You won't be disappointed and very highly recommended!

It's one of the best local hot spots in most all of Boulder with the largest selection of tasty sandwiches/subs I've probably ever seen!! I've been here many times and today unfortunately was so bad that I'll never come back. It took literally 1 FULL HOUR to get 2 sandwiches, not including waiting in line for 15 minutes just to have my order taken. There was 1 poor guy working there having to take everyone's order, answer phones, and deliver sandwiches to tables. Every time we asked how much longer he said another 5-10 minutes. After 5-10 mins it would be another 5-10 minutes. At least 20 or more people called in their subs ahead of time and therefore got to cut in front of us, which kept pushing our subs back. It's a ridiculous system and not fair for customers in the store already waiting who had placed an order. When the sandwiches finally came the guy working there was apologetic and nice, but unfortunately the subs were just so-so. Absolutely nothing special and no where near as good as I've had in the past. There were 2 other tables sitting next to us and they were just as frustrated about waiting an hour for a sub and mentioned not wanting to come back either. On top of everything it cost $25 for two 7" subs and chips. No drink or anything. Not worth the cost or the wait.

The best subs I've had! I just had the regular half fast sub on French bread and didn't need anything more. It was fantastic and I would go again the next time I'm in Colorado

Wow. They have the best subs in town. I always get the Godfather Italian sandwich toasted. The pepperoni is vinegary. The lettuce is crunchy. The mayonnaise is creamy. The tomatoes are ripe to perfection. Despite the long lines due to its popularity, their customer service and wait times are spectacular. They also have fountain soda and a refrigerator. The bathroom is clean on every visit. Apparently they don't take fakes. Which I like because I learned the dangers of fakes through CURJ.

We stopped by here around 12:30 on a Sunday, and it wasn’t too busy. I ordered a Turkey Pesto and it was ready within 10 minutes. The turkey was delicious and the sliced mozzerella tasted really fresh. There is plenty of the seating, and the atmosphere (sports bar-esque) feels like it fits in a college town. I would highly recommend this place for a quick lunch.

So many options for sandwiches, over 100 I believe. Certain ones are made toasted or cold, and all food was fresh based on the taste. Service was fast and unique with the playing cards. Overall I enjoyed a lot.

Half Fast Subs will always be one of my go-to sandwich restaurants. The menu is huge and the variety of sandwiches is impressive. I always have a hard time choosing what to order but no matter what I decide it is always delicious. The service is also exceptional and the food never takes long. Definitely recommend for a local like me.

Have gotten takeout here twice now and both times everything was just above average. The sandwiches are all pretty good, but I think there are other sandwich shops around that are a bit better. Also, some of the staff is awesome, but others seem a bit rude and aloof at times. I am gonna try again but get different sandwiches in the hopes that they’ll win me over eventually.

The best sandwiches. I try to make it here whenever I'm in Boulder. They use quality ingredients on excellent bread and have an extensive menu including many vegetarian options. Can get crowded when CU is in session. Plan on walking, the Hill is not car friendly.

Best sub sandwich ever!! I had the Godfather and it was delicious! My husband enjoyed his Long Island pitcher too!

The largest selection of sandwiches I have ever seen. Ordered a meatball and it came double layered. I only ended up eating half. It's on The Hill, so expect a wildly different experience based on whether or college is on break.

Great place for a sandwich. They have tons of creative options and their vegetarian menu is huge. Most veggie sandwiches can be made vegan by removing cheese or a sauce. I had the BBQ Tempeh and it was delicious. They accidentally made it with cheese, but were real cool about it when I brought it back and they gave me chips and a drink for the trouble. Very nice people. It's hard to park around here but it's worth it for a delicious sub.

Favorite spot for hot sub sandwiches. If you like a hot pastrami, this is the place to get it in Boulder. The bread is crisp on the outside without being too crunchy. Hot soft bread, the right amount of mustard and pastrami cooked just right.

I love the vast collection they have. You can try a lot of different things. They are not very expensive and the taste is good too. They have a big place inside to sit with large TVs where you can sit back, chill and eat. Definitely recommend this place on the hill for some subs.

Went in and ordered a sandwich on the massive menu. I was in and out within 5 minutes and took the food back to the house. The food was incredible and seemed to have had really fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend.

This place is amazing. It was my first time here and I got the 7 inch tempeh reuben on whole wheat bread and omg it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I love how college-kid friendly they are and how affordable they are. I also love how many vegetarian options they have. Usually when I got to a sandwich place it's just like a caprese sandwich or some lettuce and a squirt of dressing. But this place actually has really unique and delicious sandwiches. I will totally return many times.

I've only been here once so I can't quite claim it to be my favorite sandwich place. Plus it's like an hour away so I can't have it be my favorite and I'll never get to eat there. That said, I dropped by extremely late at night and it was one of the few places left open. Ordered up a sandwich and chose the ridiculously large one (with turkey). Had an hour drive ahead of me so I took one bite in my car. It was so good I ate half. Contemplated pulling over at least 11 times to finish it. Got home and later finished it. Unfortunately it got a little soggy by then. Definitely don't wait. Chow down and finish it in one sitting. There's like 800 different sandwiches to choose from, so go for something unique. I'll be back and I'll try something else next time.

First time hereat the Ft Collins location I loved it. My family of five chowed down on the subs and a salad. The food was delicious. As we walked in we were greeted right away. I can't remember the young man's name but he was polite and ready to help in any way we needed. He shared with us the entire get up of the place and he seemed very excited about the future of Half Past Subs which in return made us excited. I just wanted to say that it was an awesome sub and experience, we will definitely be back guaranteed. Thank you Mark Smith

Half Fast Subs is the best! I’ve lived in Boulder for 7 years and it has been a favorite since the beginning. The sandwiches are great, the drinks are strong, and there’s something for everyone. Over the years I’ve taken friends and family here, and some of them still talk about how good the sandwiches were/are! Consistently delicious and a staple to the community, I always look forward to the next time I can go to Half Fast.

Half Fast Subs not only provides a great variety of fresh subs from cold to hot, but the atmosphere they provide within their restaurant is quite amazing. Everyone is always super happy and upbeat and welcome to friendly conversation that makes the pleasure of eating in at Half Fast much more than a regular sub shop. The only reason I did not give them five stars is because there has been multiple occasions that they do not have multiple toppings such as turkey or or salami on certain sandwiches later into the night. It isn't the biggest of problems because their variety of toppings makes up for it, but overall Half Fast is definitely my go to restaurant to get a good sandwich on the Hill.

Had some veggie subs, shrimp po boy and chicken buff for our group. They have an extensive menu but our subs were luke warm. Would have liked a nice toasty sub.

Awesome 7” and 14” subs, using very fresh veggies and meats! Definitely the best sub we have ever had! Reasonable prices, a TON of specialty subs choose from, a really big variety of specialty sodas and drinks, healthy drinks, energy drinks, and brews. Indoor and outdoor seating. Don’t let the long lines scare you from staying, they were SUPER fast!

I'm a disabled veteran, I haven't had the pleasure to taste one of your exquisite looking subs, especially the Thanksgiving turkey, I saw your subs on the TV program and I can only wish that someday I will have the opportunity to visit your restaurant. But as someone who has been cooking for over 57 years you rock with your food.
