This review is a direct response to Kristin Sweeting Morelli’s review below. My husband and I were seated next to Kristin on Friday during lunch service. I’ll start this review by saying that we love Lucky’s. Even when they are short-staffed, they are transparent about it, and properly set our expectations that service may be a bit slow. Many of their staff recently returned to college. This restaurant is a true gem. The food is outstanding and it really feels like a neighborhood spot. It’s become a little refuge for us, kinda like Cheers!! That’s why, when my husband and I went to Lucky’s for a casual lunch, we were SUPER annoyed that a couple seated behind us on the patio decided that it was appropriate to have a loud ZOOM call, during which we could hear the person on the other end….this went on for several minutes. We didn’t say anything. It was Kristin. We later heard Kristin chastising one of the servers for the various grievances outlined in her review (one was that her husband’s “protein style” sandwich, which she condescendingly claimed was a “common term” was wrong…frankly I had never heard of it, but it’s a keto thing which was confusing because he also ordered fries…I digress). When we left, the original server was crying in the bathroom over what had occurred. I think the bottom line is that Kristin is a raging narcissist. She wants to have it both ways… she is ok disrupt the meal of all of the other patrons AND she demands have a PERFECT meal herself. I hope the manager told her to leave and never come back, because the sweet, family, neighborhood atmosphere is one of the things that makes Lucky’s so special.

This is the most amazing food I’ve had in Boulder yet. The food is insanely delicious, the servings are a good size and beautifully served. The staff was great (polite and very attentive).

The cafe has such a modern, cute look to the place with the lighting, openness, and plants. The coffee, juice, and food tastes great. They have vegetarian and vegan options. The staff is attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

I don’t go out for breakfast often but I just had to share a review of this fun breakfast I had at Lucky’s recently. First off, we visited the bakery next door which is brimming with delicious baked goods which I think primed me to go all out and order the stuffed French toast for breakfast at the cafe. It arrived with two delicious French toasts with ricotta and blueberry jam in between. It was just like heaven in a bite! I highly recommend this dish if you are in the mood for a decadent, sweet breakfast! The staff here are always top notch. And Lucky’s has the OG Boulder vibe which I love. Thanks for a great morning. We’ll be back.

Known breakfast dishes with an interesting twist. The Stuffed French Toast was delicious, filled with ricotta and topped with fresh fruit the dukkah made it stand out. The Jam Sandwich had a great sweet and spicy flavor combination. Finish it up with the Lemon Ricotta Doughnut Holes!

We used to come here all the time. The management is terrible. It also changes like the seasons. Overall this restaurant is not well managed and never has been. Although there are some servers we like, there appears to be a couple of really bad apples and there is a lot of turnover. The ones who are great haven't been there the last two times so who knows, maybe they left. We had a really bad server today who was running around chaotic, while helping other patrons, clearly having a very bad day. By the time she came to take our order, she got it completely wrong. That part we understand. What we don't understand is why she lied to us and why she huffed off while we were discussing what we needed. What happened after that, with the blonde manager, was completely unacceptable. We won't even go into it because it was that bad. There are some great breakfast places in Boulder. Don't take the risk of running into a very unpleasant situation at this one.

The vibe here is a bit busy / noisy and the wait staff aren’t all great but the food is SO GOOD. I had the biscuits and gravy and the French toast and both were seriously the best I’ve ever had. If I come back to Boulder will absolutely come again.

This place reminds me of a European bakery. Cases full of luscious baked items. They have vegan and gluten free items as well. Am just visiting Boulder which is a good thing or I’d be eating here every morning.

Very popular eatery that serves Boulder's local Ozo coffee in big mugs, yummy food, and has quality gluten-free breads and treats. Recommend the GF lemon ricotta donut holes! Their pancakes look amazing but I always seem to get the Eggs Benedict. Just beware that potatoes aren't automatic, you have to request them There is ample outdoor seating for the warmer months. Expect a wait, depending on time you arrive. I enjoy the vibe here whether dining solo or with friends.

Took the family here for a brunch date. Pretty hard to get kids to finish a meal, but mine finished theirs quicker than I could finish their amazing Chai Tea. I was very surprised with this venue and the quality of food. Will most certainly return.

Oh my word! Definitely a must try if in Boulder. The gluten-free lemon ricotta donut holes were so tasty. The gluten-free chilaquiles were so crispy! Definitely recommend the green sauce over the red. Everyone was so friendly from the hostest to the waiter. Kenzie was so great with recommendations, customer care and so friendly ! Ask for her when you come in!

I am never disappointed when I stop by for a meal here. They have amazing food, very friendly staff, and a great environment. I HIGHLY recommend the cauliflower salad, eggs Benedict, and omelets. Their lattes are also very good If you stop by here, make sure to go to Luckys Market afterwards and grab some snacks

Bright and friendly cafe - both environment and staff! Nice outdoor seating for the summertime. Our first visit was the morning after the Rocky Mountain Showdown. We were seeking a savory brunch with ample portions sizes! We were not disappointed!!! Big shoutout to our server Britiani who was fantastic!!! We even joked about our lack of sleep after a very late night CU victory! A scrumptious way to start the day in North Boulder! Loved my cortado! 9/10 we will be back again! Excited to try out lunch items on our next visit! Chilaquiles House Fried Corn Tortilla Chips |Shredded Chicken | Cotija | Crema | Eggs | Tomatillo D’Arbol Jam Sandwich Challah | Tomato Jam | White Cheddar | Calabrian Chile Mayo | Eggs | Bacon

The modern re-imagining of a traditional Diner. The menu contains classic Diner food such as pancakes and eggs, but also delicious new creations such as their take on the avocado toast. As a sidenote, they have great coffee getting their own blend from local coffee roaster Ozo.

Staff was very friendly and professional. I had the best porridge bowl with tahini and granola. Their tofu scramble with potatoes is hearty and flavorful. Best of all was their coffee.

Fantastic waiting staff and really wonderful with our dog. The food was spectacular I highly encourage the tofu scramble. Very friendly people and a wonderful contrast to our experience at tangerine

Your barista is extremely unfriendly, which translates to RUDE! Teach her to smile and be polite to the customers who, you know, keep you in business! Two days in a row she’s rude as one can be. Makes me not want to go there anymore.

Best pancakes in Boulder! The recent remodel and uplift to the decor is fantastic. The place looks fresh and modern the service is super friendly and fast (even though they were short-staffed today!). I tried their new donut holes with a raspberry fun-dip-like powder on the side. They were delicious and totally nostalgic. Everything was perfectly cooked, very high quality and we had a great experience.

We love this neighborhood spot and frequent it often. They have outdoor dining with umbrellas and it’s bright and welcoming inside. However, we don’t love it as much as we used to. The staff is friendly but often seems somewhat distracted and forgetful, and the menu items are hit or miss. I love pancakes and French toast but lately they’ve been meh. And it’s pretty pricey for what you get.

Beneficial Benedict! Hollandaise tasty and hot, poached eggs, spot on and thickly Sliced smokey lean ham on whole grain toast! Very well done on all fronts- fruit was a bit under ripe as Winter will have it. Service strategic and friendly.
