I
came
in
through
the
emergency
department
because
I
had
neutropenia
from
chemo.
I’m
32
years
old,
and
otherwise
have
always
been
healthy.
The
emergency
department
did
a
decent
job,
but
I
had
to
be
hospitalized
so
they
moved
me
upstairs
to
the
5th
floor
which
is
the
medical/oncology
unit
where
I
had
to
stay
a
few
days
and
what.a.nightmare!
The
Dr
refused
to
give
me
any
hydration,
and
stated
that
they
“don’t
typically
do
that”
and
would
only
allow
me
to
have
Tylenol!!!
I
had
severe
pain
from
chemo
and
the
nuetropenia
and
she
completely
disregarded
it.
I
asked
several
times
for
even
just
an
anti
inflammatory
for
my
bone
pain
and
was
told
no
until
I
couldn’t
handle
it
anymore.
I
called
my
regular
oncologist
who
works
at
UC
health
in
Denver/anchutz
and
he
was
completely
shocked
at
the
care
I
was
receiving.
He
called
the
facility
just
to
get
my
hydration!
Anytime
I
needed
medication
it
took
at
minimum
2
HOURS
for
a
nurse
to
even
bring
Tylenol
!
It
was
literally
the
worst
care
I’ve
ever
received.
A
nurse
only
checked
on
me
every
5-6
hours
unless
I
asked
for
Tylenol
or
something.
Not
to
mention
the
food
was
HORRIBLE
and
I
was
starving
my
entire
stay
while
also
dealing
with
severe
nuetropenia
and
dehydration.
I
would
have
received
better
care
in
my
home
!
I’m
super
disappointed
at
the
healthcare
here,
like
wow.
Do
not
recommend.
