This place has some of the best ice cream flavors I’ve ever tried. If you’re tired of the standard ice cream shop flavors, you definitely want to visit. The owner was closing up when we got there and still took the time to sample some new flavors for us and we tried everything from sweet to spicy ice creams. The store itself is adorable and there’s a patio although we didn’t go out to sit. Absolutely a new fave

Great place to stop and have coffee or ice cream or both. Curt the owner is very nice and welcoming. Great customer service! The beverages were amazing with the choices he provides and taste! It has a shared patio in the back you can chill after getting your order. Everything is priced reasonably. I highly recommend this place and I will be back in the future. A must try if your a local or just visiting!

Absolutely amazing experience here. Kurt, the owner, is incredibly friendly, really cares about his community and his business. Very knowledgeable and they make you feel at home. The Foxy Brown cream is something I've never experienced and it was so delectable. I hope eveyone gets to visit this gem. Love to support Black Owned Businesses. We spent about $40 because we purchased a shirt, a bag of coffee, a half pint of ice cream and a coffee with ice cream and we'd spend another $40 in a heartbeat. Loved my time there.

A little late with the review, but, I had the pleasure of supporting this Black-owned business several weeks ago. It was so delicious, I even had seconds! Initially, I had tried the affogato and enjoyed the medley of some delicious, strong coffee and the sweetness of the cinnamon flavoured ice cream. I had a spoon or two from the hubs cup and it was delish. I later got a cone with foxy brown and a flavour I can’t recall. The young man (Austin, I believe) who served us was very polite, efficient and made some great menu suggestions. As we sat at one of the tables, the owner, who was just dropping in, engaged with us and told us a little about the place. He was friendly, polite and informative. Definitely will be checking them out whenever I’m in the area.

Smith and cannon is the best ice cream we’ve ever had. We were super bummed when the colfax location closed, but we are very happy to be able to come to the Colorado mills location now! They are so much better than all of the bigger names in Colorado (such as little man.) Highly recommend visiting when you have a chance.

Absolutely amazing!! The ice cream flavors were very unique and yet they were all delicious!! And the fact that they float it in nitro coffee was brilliant!! Definitely will be back for more! And thanks for accommodating me and my girls when u we’re just about to close!!

I love this place! First of all, the ice cream is to die for. Rich and creamy and the flavors are so fun. I had an affogato (expresso with a scoop of ice cream) with butterbrickle ice cream and it was fabulous. My kids love the mint ice cream and the cookies and cream. Now if you are looking for your coffee fix, look no further. My favorite is the Marcala but there isn't a bad coffee in the bunch. Even better, the owner is just the nicest guy. He lets you try a few spoons of the different flavors so you can pick just what you want. He is a fountain of knowledge on Italian coffee and ice cream. We really like stopping at Smith + Canon whenever we are at the Colorado Mills mall for a treat or a pick me up. You should too!

We were on Colfax and popped by Smith + Canon. It's an incredible ice cream shop with nitro cold brew on tap. What makes it stand out is the multiple flavors of nitro cold brew that you can add to make nitro floats (pictured here). They also provide a larger range of option for affogattos in both ice cream flavors and coffee flavors. I'm hardly ever over here but every time I am I make it a point to stop by. My partner pointed out I forgot to list the flavors. I got the cinnamon nitro cold brew with the foxy brown ice cream and he got the Whiskey bourbon nitro cold brew with the butternickle ice cream.

Easily some of the best ice cream in Denver. They don't sell by the scoop but in half pints. This is some of the softest, creamiest ice cream you'll ever have!

The Thai Tea ice cream is to die for. Cool people, beautifully decorated. I was talking with one of the employees and he said the owner's wife is an illustrator and graphic designer. Their restaurant and art shows this mix of several African art styles blended together woth a modern twist. They take a lot of pride in the artistic value of their experience.

Smith and Canon has amazing coffee. They also have homemade ice cream. Crazy flavors, my favorite, the Butterbrickle then the peanut butter cup (yum). They have one called the, El Chupacabra. They do their own version of coffee and ice cream (smith+canon) which is an Americano with a full scoop of any flavor of ice cream. Recommended icecream for traditional affogato or smith+canon: Butterbrickle, Xmas in your mouth (chai), el chupacabra (cinnamon, cayenne, and chocolate). They have cold brews as well and do nitro cold brew icecream floats (ice cream paired with a cold coffee brew). Recommendation: Foxy Brown (cinnamon roll and cheescake icecream) with the Cinnamon Cold Brew. Yum.

Had a fantastic opportunity to talk with Curt, the owner. It's clear he takes great pride in their own bean roasting and scratch-made ice cream. Had their namesake Smith+Canon, which is a 12oz Americano and a scope of ice cream. For me, I tried the Honey Hotness, which is their Brazilian raw honey and habanero ice cream. It was exactly as Curt described it: honey, salty, hot. The spice makes an impression but doesn't linger, makes for a fantastic flavor in an afogato!

Love this place! Had the nitro float which is cold brew coffee and a scoop of creamy ice cream. What’s not to love about that.

Hands down the best ice cream I've put in my mouth, the foxy brown is to die for and the Thai tea flavor ice cream is a close second. I could spend a day here. I'm both lactose intolerant and not a coffee drinker but would gladly spend money at this local business. The owner Kurt is very passionate and experienced in his craft. I cannot wait to go back. 10 out of 10!!!!

Shannon is so kind and accommodating! We absolutely loved the ease of ordering, the quality ingredients, the obvious passion of the owner, and just how fun the whole process is/was. We both agreed (after copious field research ie, life experience) that our prospective experiences of ice creams (Foxy Brown & Butter Brickle) were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. The people ahead of us in line were visiting from Vail, had made a special trip here, and were happy to chat to us about their love of it. What great service & a sense of community as well. We will be back soon!

Dayum! Wow! Holy creamy ice creamy! Some of the best ice cream I've EVER had. Despite what you might think about a mall counter, this is independently run and not corporate or franchise. The business owner works there and is a super nice and humble guy just excited about his ice cream... And you should be too! The ButterBrickle is sofa-king amazing! It tastes like Salted Caramel, Werther's andies, and Chocolate Toffee in one beautiful creamy flavor. Unique, familiar, and decadent all in one. I can't wait to try more flavors. I don't frequent the mall, but I may have to start just for this.

Coffee itself is pretty good, a bit pricey with lots of variety but not my go to. The issue I have here is the location at Colorado Mills is incredibly confusing. Took me a while to figure out what they were even selling, the "menu" is posted multiple times in the same spot with the most egregious text which makes it frustrating to read. I actually had to double check to make sure my eyes weren't going blurry on me! There is so much reading involved to figure out it is just coffee with ice cream. That's it. I asked recommendations since this was my first time, and the staff were dismissive and annoyed I even asked. Will not return to this location.

Amazing ice cream! Coffee is not quite my thing, but their ice cream is amazing. The flavors are not like normal flavors, theirs habanero honey, brown sugar cheesecake, and chocolate cayenne. I honestly highly recommend this place, plus I was lucky enough to meet the owner and what an amazing guy. Please try this place out!

Amazing espresso, ice cream, affogato, fresh ground coffee- all super delicious! Worth a visit if you’re on your way towards/back from the mountains, or just shopping. Such a great coffee/ice cream shop :)
