The ladies behind Gold Mine Cupcakes are a delight to work with. We originally hired them to supply cupcakes for our March 2020 wedding. When that didn't work out, they made it easy to push our deposit forward. We ended up using our deposit for a much smaller July 2020 wedding. Then, our best friends used them for their Labor Day 2020 wedding! Gold Mine supplied smores cupcakes, which weren't even on the menu, when a fire ban in Grand County foiled their plans to do smores over a fire. We used Gold Mine Cupcakes again when we had our larger wedding reception in November 2021. They delivered the cupcakes and a beautiful stand to display them on. They will work with any dietary preferences so that all your guests can enjoy a delicious dessert. My husband and I chose Gold Mine Cupcakes for our wedding at the Pines. The staff was very kind and responsive. Their cupcakes are delicious with just the right amount of moisture and sugar. We went with the mini cupcakes so we could provide guests with multiple flavors!

I'm pretty sure our photos might say it all! But to elaborate Krista and her team are INCREDIBLE. They created such a beautiful display for our cake and cupcakes that everyone raved about it. We love all their cupcakes but we chose lemon, cookie dough, red velvet, and double chocolate for our cupcake flavors and carrot cake for our personal cake. All of which were just fabulous. If you are in need of a cake vendor for your big day, please pick Goldmine Cupcakes!

5 Stars: Donald Duck LOVES Cupcakes - A Bet to Remember at Gold Mine! We meant to post this a couple of months ago. I never thought I'd say this, but witnessing a man in a Donald Duck costume buying cupcakes has become one of my favorite memories, all thanks to Gold Mine Cupcakes! Mitch, the man of the hour, lost a bet and his dignity in one fell swoop by sauntering in dressed as everyone’s favorite temperamental duck. The costume was nothing short of hilarious—a fluffy white bottom, bright yellow tights that left nothing to the imagination, and those outrageously large webbed feet. The staff at Gold Mine Cupcakes played their part in this comedic play brilliantly. They greeted Mitch with chuckles and high spirits, making sure his cupcake purchase was as memorable as it was humiliating. Not content with just laughing, they had Mitch perform 'I'm a Little Teapot' complete with all the actions, which he did with a bashful but good-natured quack. The cupcakes? They were just as extraordinary as the show, each bite a heavenly mix of flavors that could make even a dressed-up duck forget his embarrassment. It's not every day you find a bakery that serves up delicious treats with a side of unforgettable entertainment. A big shout-out to the Gold Mine team for their jovial spirit and for helping make Mitch's embarrassment a delightfully sweet experience. For anyone looking for a great bakery that values fun as much as they do flavor, look no further than Gold Mine Cupcakes in Golden, CO. They’re sure to treat you like part of the flock, even if you’re not wearing feathers! I hear they have invited him to waddle back but only if he wears his ridiculous Donald Duck Costume!

Whether or not you love this place will depend on what part of the cupcake you're there for. If you view the cake as a delivery mechanism for frosting, you're going to LOVE Gold Mine. Their frosting is perfect. I mean, like, shockingly good. The bourbon maple was some of the best I've had. But, if you're all about the cake part of the cupcake, I think you'll probably be disappointed. We tried four cupcakes and the chocolate ones were dry and dense and the vanilla cakes were sort of crumbly and meh on the flavor. So again, whether this is a five star place or a three star depends a lot on whether or not frosting is what you live for. Me, I'm here for the cake, so it's a three star place for my taste buds.

Oh my, this place is a temptation! Delectable cupcakes in two sizes and all your favorite options along with some interesting twists. Have stepped in there for a quick treat and have ordered them ahead for special occasions. If you have not tried them, you are missing out! Locally owned fast and friendly service, a great stop to satisfy a cupcake craving!

Fantastic cupcakes, great variety! They have an amazing selection of cupcakes and all are just perfect! Not too sweet and so full of flavor! Loved it here, highly recommended!!!

Cupcakes were delicious and staff was very friendly! They had a GF option and a Vegan option for those with dietary restrictions. They also even have pupcakes for your dog! My family and I tried the Turtle, Carrot, and Lemon Raspberry cupcakes. All were a great hit. Would recommend this place :)

Best cupcakes I’ve ever had omg!! We got the double chocolate and birthday cake and both were so delicious. They were moist, dense, flavorful…. and don’t even get me started on the frosting. Must go if you’re in Golden!!

I feel really bad posting a negative review, but I was absolutely shocked by the quality of my cupcake compared to the reviews for this place. I really like moist and fluffy cupcakes but these were very dense and heavy. I got the birthday cake cupcake and honestly it was extremely dense and nothing like I would have expected it to be.

Maybe I came on a bad day? The frosting was good, but the cake itself unfortunately very dry and lacked in flavor. I had the mint chocolate, red velvet and the cookies and cream. Surprisingly the little Andes mint on top of the mint chocolate had more flavor than all three of the cupcakes combined. A little disappointed as they were pricey.

Definitely recommend stopping in to grab a cupcake! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and I’m so glad that we did. He got the red velvet while I got the carrot cake. Both were delicious and tasted freshly made. The girl who helps us was incredibly sweet.

We had a delicious experience at Gold Mine cupcakes! My wife, son and I went for the first time after eating nearby and it was a fantastic way to get dessert! We ordered a birthday cake, carrot cake, Turtle delight and finally my son ordered a fun kings cupcake which had a chance at a prize - a free cupcake if you find a toy inside! I ate the majority of the carrot cake cupcake. It was flavorful, the cream cheese frosting and spices were very well balanced and cake itself was a lovely tender carroty scrumptious experience. My wife had the birthday cake cupcake and it was a little dry overall but still had good flavor. My son loved his kings cake and devoured enough to reveal that we won a free cupcake. He loved finding the prize. We ate the chocolatey rich Turtle Delight cupcake later in the evening and it was rich and moist! One other thing to shout out was that the employees were great and very nice with wonderful customer service. We will be back in the future.

Delicious cakes! My sweet tooth was acting up and this little convenient bakeshop was the perfect stop. I grabbed one Birthday Cake cupcake and one Cookies & Cream. Both were fantastic. The cake is super moist and flavorful. The frosting was phenomenal. Not at all like the bland, mock-up icings on cakes at the convenient store. This frosting was amazingly sweet (duh), creamy and smooth. Best part? The value is insane! Just $8.00 (before tip) for the two exquisite treats. Wish my tummy was bigger just so I could have gone back for more!

Yummmm! I highly appreciate there are vegan and gluten free cupcakes!! Plus they were delicious, not only were they fluffy, amazing tasting icing that complimented the cupcake, but they also had great flavor! It's a special kind of talent when you can get a cupcake to rise in Colorado like this and without dairy or eggs. The flavors vary per day and the regular cupcakes looked delicious (cookies and cream, carrot cake, birthday cake, red velvet). They are very inclusive with their cupcake of not leaving out any group, including dogs. Stop by if you haven't already and use their online ordering tools for quicker pickup

Thank goodness I live on the other side of metro Denver otherwise I would be here all the time. These cupcakes are so good. I walked in one day for a snack and walked out after eating the single cupcake in the shop with an order for 3 dozen for my micro wedding. I later called in a order for an additional 2 dozen because I thought people might eat more than 1 cupcake because it's how good there are (people did). All the gluten free people said they were the best gluten free things they have ever had. My husband ate a leftover gluten free one and I asked how it was, his response was "what gluten free cupcake?", He couldn't tell the difference.

I ordered cupcakes for a colleague's birthday we were celebrating while on a company retreat near Evergreen, never having heard of this cupcake store before. The birthday lady needed the gluten-free ones, and I ordered some regular ones too. They were ALL delicious! Rave reviews from everyone! This store also threw in some birthday candles too, which was lovely (and I had forgotten them). I would 100% recommend this store and order from them again!

We ordered 60 small cupcakes and a 6" for our wedding, plus rented wood slice stands for display. The goodies were decorated perfectly to match our colors and tasted delicious! The vegan cupcakes were also very moist and a hit, even with the meat-eaters! Highly recommend!
