A nice lil spot downtown Kankakee. Got just a coffee but the food they had looked pretty solid too. Next time I’m town will definitely check out this local coffee shop!

Quality coffee shop with unique latter flavors, foods items, and excellent ambiance. Stefari is located inside the Majestic Building in the heart of Kankakee.

I like the new location and atmosphere, but the high ceilings make it noisier than the old location. Our service was very good. I liked the cucumber pistachio salad, but I think I would have enjoyed it even more with some arugula added or even salmon to create a more entree style dish.

New location is amazing! Food is awesome as always. Highly recommend the cucumber salad with chicken- so good! Drinks were fun and new location has so much character. You can tell all the love put into opening this place! Can’t wait to go back and so thankful to have another great option locally. Fantastic coffee shop. Fantastic vibe. Hip, casual, clean, and friendly place for all ages. I loved the fresh baked goods, breakfast, and coffee options. The drip coffee was excellent. Nice setting in an old building downtown Kankakee. Great spot for a quick coffee, a bit, meeting, or some remote working. The best coffee in the county!

We came in and sat at the bar for almost 20 minutes. No one ever said hi while there were about 4-5 workers behind the bar. One server said she would take our order and never did. We left and are happy to not return.

I love this spot to study at and I always enjoy my iced coffees while there. The staff is friendly and the food is good, too!

So glad this cafe exists! It’s the only place in the entire county to get a good well done cafe-style latte. I lived in NYC and LA, and cafes are everywhere that you really don’t need to go to Starbucks or Dunkin unless you need it fast and in a hurry, but of course their drinks are machine made and mass produced. Stefari Cafe does it the right way! Plus, they have a beautiful space with a ton of natural light which is great in the gloomy cold winters.

Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Reasonable prices. On the way out, we bought freshly-baked sourdough bread still warm from the oven.

Really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. The food and drink choices are phenomenal!! Their is no overwhelming menu to contend with and the dish presentation is tastefully done.

We got the Orange Cosmo and it was so good. We always get a Cosmo in Las Vegas, and we can never find one that comes close, but this place did it, and it’s local! So good, the bartenders were so sweet and the atmosphere is perfect.

I've been to the new Stefari West Ave location 5 times now. It's a place I've brought friends who are visiting from out of town because aesthetically, I think it highlights some of the best things about Kankakee. I love their lavender latte and lavender lemonade. However, the wait times have been pretty unacceptable recently. The last three times I've gone, I've waited more than 45 minutes for a salad. The wait staff is kind, but don't seem competent and when I've complained about the long waits, the hostess offered a multitude of excuses instead of just apologizing and finding out why the wait was so extensive. Today, my coworker and I went there during our lunch hour and waited 45 mins for our salads once again. When we asked what was taking so long, we were told their printer didn't successfully print our order so the kitchen staff were going to "start preparing the salads now." Needless to say, we left empty handed because we needed to return to work and couldn't wait any longer. Stefari was not very busy at this time either. There were less than 10 other parties being served. Our waitress was talking to the barista the majority of our 45 minute wait as well. This unpleasant experience, in tandem with our previous long waits, put a very bad taste in our mouths and I don't think we'll be back. It's a real shame because this is a beautiful restaurant with lots of potential. But the management needs to seriously assess how they can shorten their wait times and train their staff to be more competent and accommodating.
