I’ve been to this establishment 4 times mainly because of the location and the traffic it attracts. My first visit was okay I order online always never sit down to eat. The food was good it was worth the money. The second time, they forgot to include the lobster in my bag and were hesitant about resolving the issue. Third time they didn’t include the extra eggs and that wasn’t that big. Today I ordered a Crab Leg boil added lobster a pond of shrimp which seemed light to me added potatoes and corn. Before leaving the young lady said check your bag to make sure everything is there, I said I’ll check as best I can people don’t have masks so examined my bag I did not open to the air where people are walking around with no masks. I get home and there’s sausage in my bag pork no less I don’t eat pork. The crab legs were tiny tiny and had no meat in them at all. I call, the young lady cuts me off and says it’s nothing we can do about it once the bag leaves the store but give you 20% off your next meal and if you checked your bag you would have seen the sausage. I preceded the conversation by saying I would really to talk to the store manager but I’ll call another day. So she gives me her manager named Kesha. Kesha tells me rudely we can’t do anything after the bag leaves the store because of Covid, I said but you all want me to open my bag in an establishment where staff have no masks and patrons all the times I’ve been in there people walk in and around joking and playing with no masks. She said yeah, I said okay. So, I assume the store manager has issued this mandate that once the order leaves nothing can be done. So, open your bag and check to see if we made a mistake risk your food being contaminated and if there is an issue be further inconvenienced and uncomfortable because the atmosphere is less than classy it’s ghetto full on ghetto with bad customer service. Something needs to be done or close the establishment until you get it right. Everyone should have on a mask including employees and it should be enforced as for customer service, if you’re not good at it you shouldn’t be doing it. I spent $97 dollars and can’t even eat the food. I don’t want anything else from here other than a notification that they’re closed.

12/29 So as I stated the food is Amazing!!! I'm trying to tell y'all flavor is their thing! The service was really good as always. However my waitress smelled like weed. There was also a fight of some sort and PG arrived after the fact. Other than me and my guest a few other families also left the establishment as it was unsafe. I belive if they changed management, invested in customer service training and tried making it a little more family friendly this place would be a 10/10. But just like last time THE BATHROOM COME ON Y'ALL!!! The way this bathroom looks and smells is unreal. If need be hire someone to come clean it every hour on the hour. Now because you all serve seafood the smell could be contributed to that or ... well you know. But the point is its messy. 12/16 This place food was so good!!! Not one thing came out tasting bad! The wait for the food was not long at all. And I can't wait to go back. My only complaint was the bathroom. It looked and smelled horrible as if someone was urinating on the floor. All the stalls but 1 had what could have been water on the floor but highly doubt it from the smell, toilet paper in the toilet or on the seat. I couldn't bring myself to use it.

I was pleasantly surprised with this spot. The crab boils were really good and everything was cooked perfectly. I got the boom sauce (all 3 mixed) and I got it "fire" which isn't burn your mouth hot but its a nice flavorful spicy. My husband's fried oyster and onion ring basket was really good as well. My son had a chicken strip basket and he really enjoyed it. The strips are huge and it came with 4. Our waitress (I think her name is Minnie) was attentive and kind. We definitely decided that we'll be returning.

Love going to this place. Be sure to order online so you can pick up your order. And always make sure that your order is correct before you leave. I went there today and forget to check my bag to get home and my sauce that was on the side was not there.

The food was lukewarm when we got it. Our waitress was slow as she would sit down and mingle with people she knew. She would disappear when needed. At the end when we were paying our bill, she even had a nerve to say I get no tip? I will never go there again because it is not an atmosphere for children in the evening. Loudness and cussing by the patron's. Maybe they need to revamp and hire better and surely teach them how to be a host. I prefer the one in Bowie.

I've never eaten there and don't think I would ever feel comfortable sitting down with my family to do so. So ghetto and every time I'm driving by is a lot of people outside. Let's just say that I wouldn't bring my children. There's too much going on

The shrimp boil was terrible. The shrimp were overcooked, can someone explain why they leave the head on? 🤢 I could barely bite into the potatoes and received a very small piece of corn. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a manager who told me I should’ve checked my food before I left, well my son picked up my food, and who does that? It just seems unsanitary to expose your food around other people during Covid. The manager didn’t replace my order and provided an email address to their headquarters but I never heard from anyone. Truly disgusted!

Great atmosphere, food was good. They need to work on their FIRE spice because it was nothing fire about it. Couldn't even feel the burn compared to their sister restaurant in Alexandria. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened. Other than than that the atmosphere is outstanding and they even have upstairs seating.

I always enjoy myself when I visit this spot. Atmosphere is always a vibe. Great food, great drinks, service is on point...never had a bad moment. Update: they have some new items on their menu, I got the cocktail shrimp n sweet Chilli wings. The shrimp aren't bad but some type of sauce would compliment them.

New store recently opened, very nice and clean environment. Friendly and helpful employees, prompt service. Food is the bomb! Get a Holiday special with Boom seasoning! The best! Restaurant is located in shopping center directly across from Target. Get your shopping done, then come in for lunch or dinner!

GHETTO! Please if you enjoy good customer service do not go to this location. Worst customer service in my life. We received our food at 10:45 & was rudely asked to leave at 10:55 by the security guard. Mind you I was sitting at the bar 10-15 min before being greeted. We asked to speak the manager(Indie or India) she told us she is off the clock & walked out the door right in front of us. The servers and bartenders were so rude. If you want guest to be out by 11pm on the dot you should stop serving food by 10:15 so guest have time to eat. The managers were so rude & the establishment is very ghetto. We asked the security guard for his name who rudely responded “ none of your business” & proceeded to call us out of our names Alongside servers as were leaving. All we were asking for was 10 More min since we just got our food & they said no. If we were greeted in a timely manner & our server wasn’t laughing with other guest & ignoring us we could have been done eating by 11. We had to ask our bartender for paper towel. Gloves , trash can etc . I would like the GM to contact me in regards to this horrible experience.

The service is ok. The food is good. I just need a little more sauce when you get the boils. The fried catfish and sweet potato fries are delicious and fried to perfection. Listen, the drinks are strong and will not disappoint. The bar stays packed.

Great place and vibe. I normally do the daily special group A and the flavor I think goes well is GARLIC BUTTER and my level of spice is FIRE.

**URBAN LOCATION** I never came to this location before. Overall we enjoyed our visit! The host did greet us to advise there was a three hour wait due to only 2 servers working. She recommended my date and I to sit at the bar. When we sat, Ms.Tracy acknowledged us and quickly started us with drinks. A large party was seated behind us and across the room and they were extremely LOUD. Screaming and carrying on as it was someone’s birthday, however it didn’t seem to bother others around us, so we kinda just went with it. Despite them being VERY busy with a number of large parties and a fully occupied bar, our food come out fast and it was cooked perfectly! Ms.Tracy had A-1 customer service and her bartending skills are elite. Definitely would consider coming back on a slower night, with less people.

The vibe was definitely “Club Crafty Crab” We arrived around 9:15 Saturday night (We tried to go to C-Crab, but they said they closed at 9)… The first thing we noticed was all the people outside - talking, laughing, smoking, etc. When we walked inside it was very (extremely) loud! The music made it difficult to hold a conversation with the people at the table. Also, the restaurant smelled awful (not seafood awful)… it smelled like dirty mop water. Nasty! We were sitting for several minutes before our waitress came over. Again, it was very loud in the restaurant, so when we were trying to give our drink/food orders, we had to keep asking for clarification (that seemed to frustrate our waitress, so I wasn’t expecting a good experience). We went to the bathroom to wash our hands (mistake!). The women’s restroom was disgusting — each stall had tissue on or in the toilet, water (or worse) on the floor. The paper towel dispenser was broken on the floor. The sinks were nasty. (And of course) it smelled awful. The men’s bathroom smelled awful. The cleaning supplies were out in the open. The paper towels were in the dispenser, but the handle was broken. Between our table, we ordered 2 fried shrimp baskets, 2 snow crab and headless shrimp boils, and a headless shrimp, snow crab, and Dungeness crab boil. Each crab boil came with two large red potatoes, 2 pieces of corn, and sausage. (I added hard boiled eggs to my crab boil) The food came out hot and tasted great. The only issue was there wasn’t much sausage in each bag, and I have a personal issue with frozen corn (but every crab place uses it!) As the dinner went on, our waitress checked in a few times. She was great for the remainder of the night and got us everything we asked for. The bartenders were pleasant. The drinks from the bar were strong (which is always a good thing).

I love crafty crabs one of the best crab places in this area. Seven was my server and she made the experience even better. It’s hard to find good service and she’s the best one I’ve had at this place. I will be back!?

We came in to the Woodbridge, VA location and were seated by the host. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. When he/she came she never acknowledged our wait or apologized, just asked what we wanted to drink. When I mentioned that we had gone to the host desk to let them know no one had come to our table she replied ‘did u want something to drink’? I asked if she had heard what I said, she nodded. I then asked ‘no comment’?. She replied ‘yeah, this is my table’. Rude, lack of customer service and sagging pants. We gave our order and When he/she returned I told her to cancel our order because we wouldn’t be staying. Brought the whole ordeal to the managers attn before we left (he looked every bit of 18years old). He nodded and apologized but I highly doubt if he will say anything to the server. Yep, customer svc is dead and gone. Prices have gone up everywhere, Quality has gone down. We work hard for our $ and will never pay to be mistreated. Never again Crafty Crab! 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

It's ok. It use to better doing covid. It just doesn't hit with the flavor nor the bag size. The people up front are on their phones and are really sad looking. (Like no smiles or fake excitement). Everything looks super clean.

Im not surprised about the service. Our waiter was wonderful but he was the only waiter during our visit . So it took some time. However before I knew this I got up to ask for the manager after waiting for a while before our waiter came and the cashier pointed to say the manager was right there in the window. I look over and she was the young lady that walked past our table with menus on it several times but yet over at the window talking on her cellphone. Even as I typed this message she's still on her phone instead of helping her staff out. Owner please get another manager.

The seafood pretty good most of the time

This place g ehtto. Security needs a life and needs to watch how he talks to people and how he handle things. The place closes when it wants . .might as well close it down

I’m in town from Ohio for a weekend and we wanted a good seafood boil. We read the reviews and almost didn’t come but it was closest to our hotel and am I glad I did. Everything was delicious. Best boil I’ve had in a while our waitress was amazing and the food was delicious. Might I add they were shorthanded and we still didn’t wait long for anything!!! I give it 5 stars!

Crafty Crab literally never fails me or my mom when we go. The food is always cooked perfectly and always has so much flavor (not watered down!!) We have visited so many times and have never had a complaint! The consistency unmatched!!! I always recommend them first when it comes to seafood boils.

I go to the one in Virginia all the time an I ask for head on instead of headless an the waiter told me here at the Maryland location that they can't substitute 🤬, then I asked for a peach Ciroc an Cran an she came back an said oh we don't have Ciroc. So I wasn't happy, after driving 45 mins in traffic to not get anything I wanted. The whoowhoo tasted like straight rubbing alcohol. I had to ask for a side of cranberry juice.

I came from New York to enjoy Washington and was suggested to check out crafty crabs. We went in the hostess was rude her comment was “we have a list and you can’t be seated” coming from New York the people of Washington was all friendly until I went to crafty crabs. The hostess at the counter for the take out offered us a menu so I order $134 dollar worth of food. So now I’m back at my hotel and open the bag here I saw a roach 🪳 in my food. I was not going to write about the rude hostess but now seeing a roach I decided to take my time to write this review and I will never eat at crafty crab at 5ths district heights location at Penn station shopping center.

Very nice atmosphere, our waiter was excellent. I visited the Waldorf location today and I must say, the District Heights location is the better location for me. The customer service was top notch, the food had plenty of flavor, the waiter was outstanding, we didn't have to keep on asking for things that was needed. Our beverages never got empty. The atmosphere made you felt as though you were being served. This location is way better then the Waldorf location and the services were better even though Waldorf is closer to me, I will continue to patronize the District Heights location.

As a business owner I definitely feel that the customer service is terrible at the front desk. They arr rude, lazy,and very unprofessional. The hostess is the only person that shows great professionalism. I read in there often and the waiters do a great job. The food is always on point a delicious. My only problem i have is when it comes to take out orders and the nonchalant attitudes of the young ladies conducting that. If that doesn't change you will lose a regular customer and all of my acquaintances. Something needs to change ASAP. The atmosphere is usually fine. You all have to do better. I'm not going off of one or two times this is something that I've experienced several times and I ask to please do better as far as how you all treat your customers that spend their hard earned money to patronize this business. Me and my friends decided to go to this location to get some drinks and food. I will say this is the worst location to go to. I promise you any other location is better than this one. On top of that if you have the server named seven she will have a terrible rude attitude the entire time. We asked the hostess for the WiFi and she threw the paper with the WiFi on it and I promise you she threw it at the table and we just got there. Seven messed up our drink order and then when we tried to get them taken off cause they were wrong the women manager with an even nastier attitude said in their policy drinks can’t come off. So fyi you have to pay for every drink that touches you table even if u don’t drink or touch it. Seven started arguing with my friend when we asked for Togo cups. Every table in her section didn’t tip her cause her attitude was that nasty and disrespectful. We know this because they saw the altercation and came and told us. I will never ever order from this location it is trifling. I hope crafty crabs regional or district manager considers hiring new people at this location because a server threatening a customer is blasphemy. Do better crafty crab.

I have my waitress name seven. She was so good and awesome! She showed nothing but respect and made sure I was good because I just got into a car accident yesterday and injured and came in today to celebrate my Valentine’s Day. If you go to this location request seven 🥹🩷.

The food is good but the service and attitudes are disgusting. I have ordered food to go multiple times and never had an issue. The first time I tried to go in and sit at the bar with friends that were already settled and eating was terrible. There were multiple bartenders that continued to past by us and ignore us for the entire hour we were there. We were given menus when first seated but no one ever came to take our order. We tried flagging multiple bartenders down more than once and were always given an excuse. It was very evident that they only wanted to serve people that they knew well because even tho they said there were busy/short staffed, these bartenders could be seen talking and laughing with other customers for long periods of time. Specially the bartender Tracy and another one were especially rude in ignoring us after we nicely asked to order a drink. I will never grace this place with my presence or money ever again.
