Really a great room for the price! Fantastic customer service as well! I only had minor complaints about things, but as for the location, it's mainly the fact that the only entrance can easily be missed. It looked as though you could get in from the nearby gas station/shopping center, and unfortunately you have to make a u-turn to get back to the entrance. Note that this entrance issue was primarily due to a very strong snow storm that came through (MLK Jr day 2024), and the roads were extremely dangerous without snow tires, salt or a plow.

The pictures are deceiving. I came to MD on business. The reception desk: had bullet proof glass. The furniture was broken. The towels looked clean, but had the white fluff coming out them. Which leads me to assume that they got new towels and did not wash them. There was a desk chair that I couldn’t even touch. I pretty much kept to a corner I thought was clean because the area felt so unsafe. I didn’t even bother to go get a room change at the reception. The door to the room was so thin: you could hear everything outside. So music, racing cars, even people talking at a decent volume, could be heard.

Stood here about a week and everyday they saw me with hubby I mean we both walked in to check in the first night and etc but no they refused to accept the payment from me and made my sick husband with high fever come to the front desk and pay. And I never got any clean towels and sheets brought to be. I had to look for house keeping and get them. Very displeased with my stay. I travel for work and I always stay in RRI because I have service animals and I like rri amd 90% of places just charge the card once I make the reservation if We staying extra day or two which we always pay the first night with same card so they know it is the owner of the card and etc and we did the same thing at this RRI but no they had to have him come in each time and pay. Just so disappointing. Oh almost forgot we r both on the same account for the debit card.

Everything in the hotel was good, and the fare was rather reasonable and economical. But the neighborhood was a problem, some guests and visitors smoked on the balcony and the walkway, and simultaneously some guys were playing loud music in the parking lot at midnight. Be careful!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a trip to the Silver Spring area because of a concert and had a great experience while here. We had a very nice, that was a very good size and it was clean and comfortable. I love that red roof, at least all of the ones I’ve been too including this one, is always in close proximity to food restaurants as well as other stores which I love because it give you options of places to go without having to go too far.

The rooms are nasty. The pillows are pilling, the ceiling looks like it’s about to cave in, the lamp has odd stains and dents on the shade, both of the towels they had initially provided had curly hair in them so we asked for extra towels and one of the extra ALSO had curly hair in it. We ended up having ONE clean towel. The bathroom in general was atrocious(see pictures.)The floor has a weird red stain. And the worst part is there’s an inconsistent stench that comes from the bathroom in waves. Like it will be there and go away then 10 mins later come back for a minute and go away again. You can really only smell it when you’re in the bathroom or in the bed next to the bathroom. To be fair, it is a cheap price so you get what you pay for but I made this review because I feel like a lot of them are misleading. Maybe we got a bad room but this is nasty. Thankfully we are only staying here for one night.

While I understand that Red Roof Inn is a basic and budget-friendly hotel, there are a few areas where improvements are needed. Firstly, the hotel only provided us with one key for the room, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the staff's attitude became noticeably unpleasant whenever we had any inquiries. We were aware of the check-out time provided by the front desk, which was 11:15 am. However, to our surprise, we had a maid knocking on our door insisting that we needed to vacate the room by 11 am. This was somewhat confusing, as in my extensive travels, I have never encountered such a strict check-out policy in any other hotel, regardless of their price range. Typically, hotels allow until around 11:30 am for check-out. Although we had started loading our belongings into the car, we did not approach the front desk to clarify the matter. During this time, the hotel staff continuously called my boyfriend's phone and the room phone until we addressed the issue. In summary, while the Red Roof Inn offers affordable rates, it is lacking in efficiency and customer service when compared to other hotels, both budget-friendly and luxurious. I hope that the hotel management takes note of these issues and works towards improving their services for the satisfaction of their guests.

Since my last post I can honestly say I have had no issues. The staff has been great and my room awesome. If had any complaints was that the remote for my TV sucked. Lol

Not sure how this place got any stars. First it’s a sketch neighborhood/environment. When we pulled up there was a man half passed out outside. We tried to leave but they wouldn’t refund (not holding a grudge on that). The room itself was ok except it was the worst mattress I’ve ever encountered. The bad here is the environment. At 7am someone was blasting music from their car and woke us up. Lots of people smoking. Just want to warn people- if you’re thinking red roof inn that’s probably good- it ain’t.

Pretty standard motel vibes. Felt safe, room was a little dirty but still comfortable. Price was honestly a little high though considering the quality, but maybe that was just the days I was traveling

First time around Maryland and decided to stay at Red Roof since it was the closest hotel to my sisters house. I was helped by Ruth & Antonio at the front desk and they were EXCELLENT. Explained everything to me and were the kindest people ever. I can say I will be coming back to stay at Red Roof whenever I visit my sister. Excellent customer service. 10/10. Ruth and Antonio, you guys are awesome

What a surprise to get a good stay here. I hope Red Roof takes note and has all rooms this great so everyone has a great experience. Checked in late at 130am on a Friday and Front Desk staff quickly efficieny check me in and even was able to accommodate a ground level request. Room 121 was perfect! No flies or critters anywhere. Clean floors, bathroom, tub and toilet. Linen and bedding were clean and stain-free. Smoke-free too which is a rarity for budget hotels these days. Price made it a great value. Good location too Only confusion was operating the heating and ac unit. The unit didnt stay on when plugged into the wall, and had a old school wall switch too, so no idea if it was controlled from the wall or the small in room unit. Room was room temp so I was fine anyway

Rooms are small smell like smoke even thougt its "100% smoke free" building Not sound proof can hear everying bumping music at 2am. Trash everywhere. Pealing paint, mold, broken elctric plugs. NOT true pricing off Google, plan to pay double with AN ADDITIONAL 50$ deposit 3 to 5 days for a charge back.

Front desk service was friendly and checkin was smooth. The room was clean and tidy. Only minor issues were the tv remote didnt work too well. And the air unit made an annoying, constant, knocking sound when switched to cooling. Also the entrance to the hotel is kinda trick to get too, and very easy to miss unless you come off the highway.

Room was clean but the extra lock on the door was broken. Other Guests were very loud throughout the night and morning making it hard to rest. Front desk agents were very nice.

Wish I could give them a 0 star review or even negative stars due to me and my fiancé were checking into our room that my mother in law reserved and she gave us her card through out DC to have fun of course. But the staff denied the card Bc it does not match my fiancés name. Yet it is her kid they said this policy is on their website I looked up their website and policies NOTHING says that payment card should match ID yet it is a family name on the card. NO wonder they have 2 stars I work at a at a elite hotel and we accept all cards not these security checks the person explains we accept. Yet of course these staff can make their own rules without consent from corporate. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS A 2 STAR NO GOOD DIRTY ROOM HOTEL!!! Please go somewhere else that the staff will treat you right. I hope for my refund back!!!

DO NOT BOOK HERE. The entrence is difficult to navigate and if you miss it you have to circle a mile around to try again. I paid on Priceline in full.. when I arrived I was asked to pay a $50 "deposit". If I paid in cash I could get it back "once I've done a walkthrough with the staff to ensure no damages or smoke" or I have to wait 3-5 days to get it refunded to my card. When I stated with the front desk person that I had an issue with the deposit when I had a credit card for incidentals he told me there was no way to check in without paying the deposit. I called Priceline to resolve the issue and try and book somewhere else, I was told "it's non refundable and the hotel won't release the booking." I went back in to pay the deposit and was told "you can pay the deposit or not, you can stay or not, I don't care. But it's a non-refundable booking" Any place that operates like this is 🚩🚩🚩

When I first got here at 0450 in the morning after being treated like dirt at a near by hotel I met an angel in the overnight associate. She was honest and gave me my options honestly and was exceedingly helpful any time I saw her. And it wasn’t just her, everyone here has been wonderful, kind and helpful to me during a personally rough time. And I thank them all. Decent price on the rooms also.

In a family emergency, I paid for my husband to stay at this hotel. The hotel took full payment up front, but when he got to the hotel, during a time of duress, they were unable to honor the reservation AND WOULDN'T GIVE US A REFUND. Will drive 100 miles out of the way NO MATTER WHAT than ever give them a 2nd chance. You pay for no room and bad attitudes. Should be able to give negative stars.
