Unique sandwich shop. I thought the sandwiches tasted pretty good. The price seemed kind of high . The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. I was quite surprised how busy this place was. Excellent customer service. Parking can be a little challenging. I would recommend this place…..

Traveling through town and was recommended by a local to check out this place for lunch. So glad we did!! Our sandwiches were absolutely delicious! Service was excellent. Clean and cute location. A+ all around! Thanks Nashville, you can make a freaking good sandwich!! :)

A hip, cozy restaurant focused on fresh and healthy food. I ordered the Turkey Avocado. It was beautiful, delicious, and fresh. The only thing I thought about changing was the bread. I saw someone with the sourdough and got a bit envious. My wheat bread was still really yummy - I just love bread. I ate all of my food before I took a picture of it. Sorry about that.

Good sandwich shop on the east side for breakfast or lunch. They have gluten-free bread to put on any sandwich. They also had kombucha on draft from Walker Brothers locally made in nashville.

Amazing sandwich shop! I’ve tried several of their sandwiches and my favorite has been the brisket sandwich. The Apple brie is really good too if you like a combination of sweet and savory. The only negative I can think of is that it closes at 4 PM because I often crave it after work!

Great sandwiches and pleasant staff. They have vegan and vegetarian options. Pretty much catering to all? There is limited seating inside but there are tables outdoors for seating and a patio. On a warm and sunny winter's day this could work. Parking on the other hand is a nightmare. There are so few spaces and since Mitchell's is popular you find yourself circling the block multiple times looking for an open parking space. Even their overflow lot had zero spaces. Be prepared to walk if you have to park far. But the food makes up for it!

It was a 3 experience for me.. wanted it to be more but the Italian, the staple, just wasn’t doing it. Not a ton of flavor, meat wasn’t very good, wet, overall eh. The Bahn Mi was good though and I’d get that again. 2 star Italian, 4 star Bahn Mi.

So glad we stopped here! There was an awesome selection of local goodies to bring home while we waited to order. We got the Italian sub & chicken salad sandwich. Both sandwiches were thoughtfully curated and delicious! I could taste why they’ve won several awards. Thanks!

Really good sandwiches. The place was larger than I imagined. I thought it was a small venue for a quick bite and run kinda place. But there’s quiet a few seating in door and outdoors , with probably more available seats than car parks! The BBQ smoked brisket was good, but the turkey and avocado sandwich was a home run!! The sprouts in it was surprising as many people don’t like it but the combination of the whole sandwich with the sauce was a stand out!

Great service, nice variety. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. The storefront is charming, inviting, and well maintained. The music choice is also A+, but what really keeps me coming back is the food. They serve some of the best veggie chili I've ever had. I'm more than happy to drive up from the south side to give them my business. 5 stars.

Delicatessen? More like Delica-heaven! There were four vegan and vegetarian sandwich options when we visited and they sometimes have vegan creamy tomato soup too! I love the craft sodas on tap, the kola flavor was my favorite. I had the Asian BBQ Tofu sandwich and it was what dreams are made up! Being vegetarian, I missed being able to walk into a sandwich shop and order something satisfying and protein-packed for lunch! Mitchell’s solves that problem! They also have 3 bins for compost, recycle, and landfill. Cannot recommend this restaurant more!

What a pleasant surprise. We are staying nearby when I decided to run out for breakfast. I came upon the Mitchell Delicatessen where I purchased a dozen bagels and some breakfast burritos. The food was great. Everybody loved the burritos, especially the non-meat version. Later that day, we needed lunch for family that came into town for a wedding. I went back to the deli and purchased sandwiches. The selection was great and we purchased almost one of everything. Once again, we were pleasantly surprised and everyone loved the food. What more can I say. This place is awesome. I highly recommend it.

It has nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. My husband and I each had a Reuben. The corned beef was excellent. It had a good flavor and was thinly sliced. Me, I love sauerkraut. Because most places do not use much, I always order mine with extra. When we unwrapped our sandwiches we couldn't see any sauerkraut. I opened up my sandwich and still had a hard time finding any. I know I should have taken it back up and requested more but I was tired from a long walk we had taken. I ate half and took the other half home to eat with more sauerkraut.

Wow wow wow, great sandwiches! We arrived at opening time but it was closed due to a power outage. We had to wait an hour extra to get our sandwiches, it was worth the wait. We’re from out of town and we’re just passing through so next time we’re in TN, we’ll stop in again!

After relocating to Nashville in recent months, my husband and I have been asking around for great sandwich spots. A few have been suggested, but the common spot we've been referred is Mitchell's. We've tried to stop in several times, but it's always packed on weekends...(Great sign, when it's clearly a popular spot.) We finally were able to stop in for lunch on a weekday and weren't disappointed. Love the little local-goods store when you walk in, seeing they support other local businesses is always refreshing to see. The food was FANTASTIC and the bread wasn't too crispy that it destroyed the roof of my mouth. It was perfect. We were able to grab a local craft beer as well, and the outdoor seating made for a cozy dining experience. Icing on the cake was to see their clear instructions on food and waste disposal. I would love to see more establishments support these sustainability efforts. Well done Mitchell Deli!

We came here upon recommendation of my sister and her husband and were pleased overall with the experience. Their food prices are reasonable for Nashville and their food quality is good with their Reuben definitely being the standout. I wasn’t necessarily a fan of the process and packaging (wonky-ish flow and I guess they make everything to go regardless? The stiff butcher paper was cumbersome…) but the atmosphere was nice, although there wasn’t any music on our visit which was unusual imo. I didn’t see any side options besides chips (fruit, salads, and soup would be nice) and I would have appreciated more warmth and direction from the staff after I indicated to the register clerk that it was our first time, but otherwise no issues really. I would have liked to have sampled their artisan on-tap sodas but wasn’t aware of them until I got my water. Would we go back? Yes. Knowing what I know now I’d make a few adjustments to how I approach it all but we would go back 🙏

I pick up carry out from this Gem often! By far my favorite club sandwich I’ve had in all of Nashville! 10/10 would recommend (and have) to everyone.

My husband and I were in town for work and a local friend recommended Mitchell’s. WOW!! We both said they were the best sandwiches we’ve ever had! We will be back anytime we come back to Nashville. Do yourself a favor and go get a sandwich. You will not be disappointed!

Great turkey apple brie sandwich on gluten free bread. Delicious flavors. Not great GF bread. But they toast it, which helps. While they can do GF, cross contamination is everywhere.

So nice to see some quality plant based options! The Veggie Bagel with homemade hummus was delicious and the Vegan Garam Masala soup was fresh and full of flavor!

Really good food and draft sodas! I got the turkey Brie sandwich and my finance got the turkey club … both were very fresh, well made and yummy! Staff was friendly and helpful. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll be stopping in!
