Small, but good food. Very limited menu. I was unaware of what most of the items were on the menu, so I ordered a Greek salad. It was a salad, a good tossed salad. The feta cheese was very good. Reasonably priced. Very friendly server. Sorry we didn't get to meet the chef, owner. Food came out in a reasonable time and had a nice presentation.

We've been looking for a Turkish restaurant and wow! We found this nice establishment on Central which serves a limited but delicious menu of either Turkish or Greek fare. Cozy establishment with 4-5 booths, a few tables as well as outside seating. Reminiscent of my trip to Greece and my favorite Turkish restaurant in a different state. I wanted to try everything but had to make an decision. I chose the Mio's Yogurt Kebap which is thinly sliced beef and lamb mix gyro cooked with our flavorful special sauce served on rice pilav bedding and yogurt on the top. Sauce contains tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, mushrooms and seasonings. So yummy. My guy ordered the Beef Gyro Platter which is Beef and Lamb mix Gyro served with rice pilav, salad and tzatziki. He totally loved it. Our next visit I'm going for an array of the cold appetizers, falafel or maybe a salad. My guy will most certainly order the beef gyro platter. No matter what, I'm treating myself to a Turkish coffee. Highly recommend Mio's Grill & Cafe.

Mio's restaurant is a culinary gem! The baklava is a divine treat, complemented by the rich flavors of Turkish tea and coffee. The lamb dishes are nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing a perfect blend of spices and tenderness. A delightful dining experience that transports your taste buds to the heart of Turkish cuisine.

This is the best Mediterranean place I have ever tried! The service was phenomenal making this place a great atmosphere for everyone. Ozi and Mehmet were exceptionally helpful when asking for recommendations and took very good care of us. I highly recommend the Babaganouj dip and the pistachio Baklava. Then wash everything down with some very refreshing Turkish tea/ coffee. I will be coming back!

The food was amazing. We had the Grape Leaves, Beef Gyro Platter, Piyaz Salad, and Semolina Helva with Ice Cream. After we finished paying, the waiter insisted we try the baklava. Wow! I've had baklava from all over, and this was by far the best we've ever had. Everything was fresh, so flavorful, and large portions. We will definitely be back. There are many other things on the menu we can't wait to try . We started eating off our entree before we remembered pictures

Since moving to FL, we've had a tough time finding good authentic food. This place was a nice surprise! It's a little gem. Service was great and food was fresh and delicious. We ordered like 5 or 6 things on the menu, all vegetarian. We'll be back. Thank you!

Always fresh and always delicious! They have a great homemade lentil soup, the best falafel I’ve ever had, and the hummus never disappoints. One of our favorites in St Pete!

This highly rated place was recommended to us by locals, so we checked them out for lunch. Super attentive and friendly service. Take out or dine in. We chose to dine alfresco at one of their three sidewalk tables. We shared the freshly made, very tasty hummus with warm pita bread ($9.95) and the beef and lamb gyro salad ($18.95). We also shared an Alfa Mediterranean Lager for $5.95. A perfect balance of tasty and fresh food to enjoy on a nice day. Definitely worth it's 4.9 rating. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ $$

It's rare that a restaurant combines great food with great service, even more so when it is "just" a typical 1st-floor downtown retail location. Mio's nailed both. The gyro platter was absolutely delicious including the salad AND the gyro/rice portion. The salad ingredients were fresh with a delicious dressing. The meat was tender, moist, and full of savory flavor, and the rice was fluffy, moist, and flavorful. This Turkish-Greek restaurant knows how to serve a perfect meal. I am not exaggerating, however, when I add that the service was even better? How much better? Our server Tugce (sp?) has earned the well-deserved place at the TOP of the list of best servers ever. She was welcoming, friendly, and kind in the sweetest of sweet way. She passionately explained the history of the restaurant, and the food. Best server ever, and we've eaten at a gazillion restaurants and have had some amazing servers through the years.

The food was amazing. We had the Grape Leaves, Beef Gyro Platter, Piyaz Salad, and Semolina Helva with Ice Cream. We almost forgot to take pictures before eating our entrés; so the photos are after quite a few bites! After we finished paying, the waiter insisted we try the baklava. Wow! I've had baklava from all over and this was by far the best we've ever had. Everything was fresh, so flavorful, and large portions. We will definitely be back. There are many other things on the menu we can't wait to try.

I've been to a lot of Mediterranean restaurants in my time, but this one is definitely one of the best. It's a small, cozy place in the St. Pete downtown area. The ambience is great, with music that's a bit on the louder side but doesn't drown out conversation. They can probably seat up to 25-30 people at once. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the gyros, which were made with a combination of lamb and beef. I would have preferred them to be made with just lamb, but they were still very good. The wine choices could be improved, but I had a great dessert that was on the house. The service was wonderful, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Mediterranean meal. It's a great place to go with friends or family, and the food is sure to please everyone. Here are some additional details about my experience: The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The restaurant has outdoor seating. Here are some suggestions for improvement: The wine list could be improved. The restaurant could use a few more tables. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to others.

This is without a doubt the best Turkish food I have ever eaten! I'm comparing this to Turkish restaurants I've eaten in NYC and NJ. We had the sautéed chicken, cheese pies, beef Gyro, and baklava. It was so much food we had to take half of it home. The place has an intimate atmosphere and nice decor! The service was fast and super friendly! The place is also dog friendly.

Absolutely loved this place! Small, intimate hole in the wall that you can walk and not notice. Big mistake if u miss it. We had the cold mezze sampler and it was superb. Best babaghanoush, hummus and bulgur salad! And amazing gyro Greek salad. Don’t miss the baklava too. Our new go-to place in st Pete’s.

If you’re looking for authentic middle eastern food this is it!! Everything was so fresh and delicious. We had the labne, which I’ve had at a few places but this has to be the best. The pit bread was warm, soft, and tasted so fresh. The chicken gyro platter was amazing and plenty of food to take some home too. The kibbeh was delicious as well. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. The food was just SO FRESH!! Not only was the food 10/10, so was the service. I was the only one who wanted baklava after our meals because my friends were stuffed, so I asked for one piece and our server went out of her way to accommodate me and didn’t even charge me for it which was so sweet. Our dining experience was great and I can’t wait to take my family here. I grew up here and have been here all my life, and somehow never discovered this place but I’m glad I did now! 10/10😍

My friends and I decided to stop in and try because they had good reviews. We all loved the place. The food was 10+/10. Chef came to our table to introduce himself and see how we were doing. I have now made it a point to visit or get take out once a month. A must try. Delicious.

We were really excited to try this place due to the ratings. Our waiter, Kadir, recommended the Kisir(could eat a whole bowl, highlight) with our sampler, which included Piyaz(ok), Haydari(good), Hummus(delicious). The pita was the perfect temp, and the dipping cucumbers were large. Kadir also recommended the spinach, feta Borak, which was amazing. I'm not a big Feta fan, but the Borak was so good. The entrees were good. Beef gyro was very flavorful, and the Mios chicken sautee was filling. They were so nice to provide a free Baklava sample as well. Great environment. Parking can be a pain.

10/10 Wow! Food was INCREDIBLE! Everything was fresh, & delicious!! If you’re looking for authentic Turkish/Greek food, look no further. The ambiance is inviting, the service, warm & friendly. Mehmet was just the nicest server, & really added to the overall fantastic experience. 100% coming back here next time I’m in the area! Didn’t catch the name of this dessert, but I’ll order it every time; it was that good!

it’s not often that I’m left in sheer awe by a dining experience. However, Mio’s Grill and Café succeeded in doing just that. The meal commenced with the Lebneh dish—an appetizer that set the tone for what was to follow. Creamy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned, it whisked me away to the shores of the Mediterranean with just one bite. Yet, the pièce de résistance of my evening was, without a doubt, the gyro platter. The meat was succulent and bursting with flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate. It was a testament to the skilled craftsmanship that went into preserving authentic Mediterranean tastes. The ambience of Mio’s is, quite simply, impeccable. From the soft lighting to the artfully curated decor, it encapsulates the very essence of a Mediterranean sojourn. But more than the aesthetics, it’s the authenticity of the entire experience that stands out. Every detail, from the music playing in the background to the warm hospitality, felt like a heartfelt embrace from the Mediterranean itself. In conclusion, if you’re seeking an experience that’s not merely about eating, but about traveling through flavors and traditions, Mio’s Grill and Café is an unmissable destination. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Best Greek food I’ve ever had! The Greek salad with chicken is DELICIOUS. The marinated chicken on top is just mouth watering! The staff is so nice and atmosphere is great. Right next to the parking garage so it’s easy to access for a downtown location. Highly recommend!

Very good Turkish restaurant. The dishes were authentic and full of flavor. We ordered falafel, borek, hummus, beef gyro platter and bean (piyaz) salad. All great, but the salad was very over dressed. Gyro meat was sliced so thin it was almost crunchy, which we love. For dessert we had phenomenal baklava and Turkish coffee

The food is delicious and the staff are amazing the meat dishes are a little expensive but it is totally worth it. One of are family members asked for something different so chef Bora and their amazing team helped us achieve our request.

I've had my fair share of Mediterranean food, Mio's is among the best I ever had. I started out with the Haydari, a phenomenal yogurt based dip with pita bread. My entree was Mio's Yogurt Kebap, again very delicious. My buyer had the Falafel platter. I tried one and it was good as well. I highly recommend Mio's for Mediterranean food. Prices are fair, dress is casual, staff is friendly.

An amazing Mediterranean restaurant! We came for lunch and the ambiance was beautiful and the staff made you feel right at home. Definitely stop here if you’re in the area. All the food was delicious and tasted fresh and homemade. We loved it here and can’t wait to comeback.

Beautiful spot and the foods match the vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. Fresh and hot pita came out with our order. Vegan friendly and helpful menu with clear marking for one of our guests. For vegan picks, the wrapped grape leaves, lentil soup, hummus and piyaz sides are must have. We ordered the fried Kibbeh which is not vegan but the sides are and it was great to share. The bulgur outer layer of the kibbeh was light and crunchy. Everything was delicious and such a great find in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
