We came here to do Archery and were really impressed. The whole centre is really well themed and it's crammed full of activities. There's an obstacle course which you can do for free once in the building as many times as you like. It was exhausting but very good. I've done archery before but this was honestly my best archery experience yet. The bows were wooden but very functional. The instructions were clear. The range was organised and disciplined without taking away any of the fun. What made it really fun was the archery "games" we played. It started out simple, aiming for different colours, but became more fun as we shot at different targets across the range and played "knock-out" games and did time challenges. It made it really interesting! Well worth a visit!!

What a great place. The assault course is not for the faint of heart. I have asthma and I took some time to recover. We took part in the archery which was really good with a 45 min session. The instructors were really good with my daughter, 8, and assisted her where possible. My children managed the assault course many times and the shark tank is great to sit and watch. They serve Costa coffee and have a limitted food menu. Previously our boys have attended the high ropes which they thoroughly enjoyed. Well worth a visit.

A great place with a wide range of activities. I took my Daughter who is registered blind and they were wonderful. Special thanks to Connor who accompanied my Daughter on the high ropes and literally showed her the ropes. We did archery with Matt who put balloons on the target so my Daughter could hear when she hit the target. A top notch and inclusive experience.

Great day out! This place offers so many fun activities it's a daring experience for anyone. We loved archery and the different challenges they get you involved in. Tallest high ropes in Europe doesn't look like much but when you get up there it's a challenge! Loved getting over my fear and tackling it all! The assault course is really fun, we did it 3 times and you can do it as many times as you like but you will feel it tomorrow! All the staff were super friendly and the place had a fun atmosphere.

Had an amazing time . Took my grandson for his 12th birthday , he did the shark dive , high ropes and archery. Well worth the money , well trained staff , spotlessly clean and reasonably priced . Would definitely recommend for all ages (not toddlers )

Really good place to go! We did archery as a group of 8 - we got to do it all at once! 🎯 Went straight in, got lockers to secure our stuff with a locking wristband to keep it locked. We got to do the assault course free of charge! Really cool to run over stepping stones, pulling myself across poles a pole (badly 😁) monkey bars and a pole. Didn't get a photo as my phone was in the locker 🙃 Although we spent most of the time watching the fish in the fish tank. Loved it!

Lots to do here. We came for the iFly experience only to be told it has been broken for over a month! Agency should have told us so not the centres fault. They were really apologetic and managed to fit us in for some alternative activities free of charge - great customer service.

Nice choice of activities and engaging staff members who look after you well. Downside, activities we did were short, about 20mins each after the briefings, making it a very expensive experience for what we did!

We had an amazing time here the past weekend. We booked tickets in advance for high ropes, archery, scuba diving, sky diving and climbing. We got the assault course for free. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, everything is all in one place and very accessible.

Second visit and to do some different activities and loved it just as much as the first visit. Special mention to Kyle who we were lucky enough to have all to ourselves on High Ropes (should have been a group of 16 but apparently we were the only 2 willing to brave the rain and wind!). Kyle was patient, supportive, encouraging and calm. He was also chatty and friendly and great fun to do this experience with! The staff are always great and it's such a smooth process from start to finish. Genuinely not a single complaint in 2 visits. Helpful tips - Parking is a 5-10 min walk away There is a Starbucks inside the NEC doors just past BG if you're early! Leave enough time between bookings to grab a drink and use the toilet! We have now done Climbing, Archery, Shooting and High Ropes and enjoyed all of them. Highly recommend.

Came here for my little brothers 8th birthday and we both had a fantastic time. First we did the iFly. Our trainer was fantastic (I forgot her name - maybe hayley? Blonde lady in training). She was really good with my brother as well as everyone else and gave super clear instructions. You get a couple of go's in the tunnel each, on the second go you get a chance at getting spun higher in the air! Great fun and would love to go again. Secondly we went for the snorkelling. This was good and you get LOADS of time in the water. You're behind a clear game but the fish can come right up to you and its fantastic to watch. My brother struggled with this a little bit, so might be one to avoid if you're bringing a little one. Probably more ideal for those a couple of years older than him. We also did the zipline (only £5 each), which was quick fun and easy. And then thr assault course which is a great free bonus as long as you've done any other activity there. Staff were all really friendly and the whole place was jam packed with fun! Lockers are included so you can drop off any bags and coats etc. Would definitely come back again and try some more of the activities.

Really nice building, well decorated and themed as others have said. Staff running the activities were generally really friendly, knowedlgeable and enthusiastic. Was a bit annoyed when one member of staff (Hageeb) walked off midway through serving us on the photo prints without any explanation and asked someone else (Catherine?) to deal with us...unfortunately she didn't know how to do it and he didn't explain where he'd got to, so we stood there awkwardly watching her struggle with the screens until someone else helped her.

The children had a fabulous time at Bear Grylls Adventure. It offers activities for a wide range of ages and certainly for those children (and adults) with lots of energy. Helpful and friendly staff and lots of space between each activity area. Would definitely visit again.

Great place! Did not know this existed so close to me. They have the opportunity to Snorkel with Sharks and other fish, great experience, would return to do again. Also allow diving with sharks, which is next on my list. They also have escape rooms and outdoor activities as well as zip lining and jumping out of a plane sort of experience in those tubes/rooms. Definitely worth the visit! Will I return? 100%

Came here to do an iFly session. It was really good fun. I bought as a Christmas present for my boyfriend via Virgin Experience Days and it was £50 for the two of us. The training was really good and through however, in all honesty I think I'd have felt quite ripped off paying anymore than £50 for the two of us for only x2 1-minute flights each. The place is very well laid out and 'decorated', it was lovely being able to view the aquarium too. If you'd like photos of you doing the experiences I recommend bringing an additional person along to take them because the photos sold by the place are £15 each and pretty horrendous

Great place, great activities, great staff. Staff were very helpful all the way through check in and the activities. The center was very clean and well presented, all of the activities were nice and easy to locate and were close together. We done high ropes, and climbing, we had 2 very good sessions. The high ropes were extremely fun and the climbing was good to. The gift shop was a very good price and you could get some good items such as rucksacks, notebooks, pens, pin badges, tshirts, lanyards, teddys, cups, mugs, braclets and waterbottles All for great prices.

Very well staged - we did the archery as a family £80 for a family of four, and we all did the assault course....twice! Significant discounts on offer if you book a second activity whilst on site on the day. Staff were excellent - everyone really enjoyed themselves. Gift shop is well stocked and not over the top price wise !

This was bought for us as a gift, Archery and Axe Throwing. Venue is easy to get to, clean and well set out. Various activities available, each housed in their own specific area, axe throwing, shooting, archery, climbing, shark diving, escape rooms. Each activity needs to be booked separately, age restrictions apply, (18 for shooting, 15 for Axe throwing, 8 for archery, ), so check before booking. Arrive half hour early to book in and fill in waivers and validate parking token for reduced parking charge ,( East 5). Cafe on site , drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Small gift shop, also reasonably priced. Staff at the venue are helpful , friendly and knowledgeable . Axe throwing in particular was great fun. Full instructions and safety advice is given at activity start, (5 minutes). Axe throwing lasts 45 minutes. Archery was also very good, professionally run with a clear emphasis on safety. Session length was half an hour. Full use of assault course is included in the price, however we didn't use this due to ongoing knee problems, but guests using the course seemed to have a good time. Great day out , sessions could have been slightly longer but would definitely go here again. Prices of activities vary from £20 upwards, booking in advance gets cheaper price . Excellent.

Had a corporate event day here... It was a great fun place with excellent facilities and some great activities to suit all abilities. Enjoyed the archery and Escape room. The pizza at the cafe was pretty good too and even the toilets were fun (see photo).

Visited yesterday. We've had tickets for my daughter and her friend for high ropes. I was little worried for the weather, but it kept and they've had lovely time. During the visit they were able to use the assault course, which they loved. During the activity my husband and I waited in the cafe, which offers Costa beverages, but sadly not cakes. That was little disappointing, but we got over it. The place is a great value for money, many activities to chose from and friendly staff. Well worth visiting.

Went here with wife and 8yr old daughter using our Merlin passes. Archery was great - if a little short. The wall climbing was well run and challenging. We didn't bother with high ropes as it's outside and started bucketing it down but we will definitely return at some point to give it and some of the other attractions a go! The center is right next to a really decent outlet shopping center too with plenty of nice places to eat. We will definitely be returning with the rest of our kids at some point - we could spend an entire day here very easily!

We did the I fly and assault course, while the I fly was good and worth the money, I didn't think much of the assault, it took less than a minute to complete. The facilities are great and the free sanitary in ladies toilet is a nice touch. Have to say it would be nice for the staff to have it built in about validating the parking token, I actually didn't even see a sign, although my son said he did after we got bk to carpark, I had to send him back to get the carpark token validated for it was going to cost me £25 once done it cost me £3.50.

Came here yesterday for the shark dive with my friend, and I was so nervous about learning to use the scuba gear. I felt immediately at ease with our instructors Ollie and Mike who did such an amazing job of getting everyone trained up and comfortable with what we needed to do. We were so well taken care of by them and all of the dive & snorkel staff who were fun and friendly. Seeing the wildlife in the tank was unbelievable, we were lucky to get quite close both of the nurse shark and zebra shark as they rested at the bottom. Definitely give yourself a lot of extra time to park before as events at the NEC can gridlock the roads, we aimed to be 45 minutes early but were only just on time Loads to do at the adventure center so we will definitely be back !

The best place to get entertained. I did the Ifly withe the family for a birthday gift. It is one hour experience, you get to fly for 1 minut x 2 times and your can try the extra high - going up - for an additional 8£. Great instructors and the first step to try the sky experience. Pictures and videos available with 15£.

Went here yesterday in January with my partner for axe throwing and it was so fun. Really good for letting off steam and having a laugh. You get half an hour with some time being instructed using different axes. Within ticket price you get access to the assault course which is brilliant. Would highly recommend for families with teenagers that need to release some energy and also work team building days.

Looks amazing, less so once there. The sort of experience you’ll go to once and feel sore about after. Somehow the kids managed to upgrade their free fall experience by an extra £10 without adult approval, leading to a bit of a showdown with staff (particularly ‘Dom’) that just ruined the day and left us £40 lighter. Really poor from the staff. The assault course experience was also a bit naff. The kids had fun, though. Shame the special car park wasn’t free. The aquarium was cool to look at. I’ll give it that.

Facilities are great, useful little wristbands for lockers and keeping track of photos on activities. Little cheeky having to pay for the photos on the iFly experience but our instructor James was really charismatic and made the experience for me and my partner. We also did the shooting with Air rifles which were a solid piece of kit! Again the instructor Dan was really helpful and took some pictures for us! Only other con is we had to pay for parking.

Great day out plenty of parking at the NEC it's a 12 minute walk around the lake from the car park. It's not the cheapest place but average for the activities it offers.

Really nice impressive space for family and corporate activities. Plenty of things to do but needs a lot of thought and planning as to who will do what I enjoyed axe throwing and escape rooms.

A great place to have various fun themes, we did the high ropes adventure. The only problem was it wasn't long enough but still worth the experience. It was an almost 1hour of fun 60ft up walking on very narrow rolling beams.

The best coolest experience ever. I did the shark dive with my twin sister as a gift from friends. We loved it. Even the briefing before going in was fun due to our instructor Matt. He went above and beyond to make our experience as fun as possible. He was super friendly, chatty and we felt at ease before getting in the water. Tanya was also a great instructor.

We had a fantastic day out at Bear Grylls! We did Archery, Axe throwing, high ropes and the Shark dive. Being a week day it was lovely and quiet. My only criticism is our Archery started about ten minutes late due to some of the participants and a member of staff being late this resulted in a twenty minute session, which just wasn’t long enough, it was so much fun we could happily of done another half an hour. The axe throwing also started approximately 5 mins late as well, but less of an issue as half an hour of axe throwing is probably long enough as it’s surprising active. The high ropes were great fun with lots of variety of obstacles. Unfortunately despite the good weather forecast, it poured down with rain and we decided to finish our session a bit early as we were soaked through. Waterproofs are definitely required if it’s raining, as it’s outside and very exposed. The Shark dive was an incredible experience! Me and my wife were very nervous, due to having never scuba dived before. The training given was really good and we had loads of time in the water. We purchased the video for 20 quid which seem reasonable value for such a memorable experience. Cafe is fairly mediocre, but food and coffee was good enough for a quick lunchtime snack. Fantastic staff throughout the venue, really helpful and fun. A great day out, definitely highly recommend a visit.

I have to say we had an amazing experience at Bear Grylls Birmingham. Yes we did do a lot of activities which can work out very expensive, but if you take advantage of deals that are offered you can save loads. For instance the i-fly with activities at £5 extra for each...great package 👍👏. Also I need to mention that the staff through the day were outstanding and so helpful with our group 🙌🙌. Especially Annabel and Erin who were working the entrance counters, who sorted out a problem that we had with tickets. Thank you so much girls for rectifying the problem, it made our day run so smoothly 😊. I do hope the management show their gratitude to these staff members for there professionalism with these matters 🙏. Thanks again for a perfect day 👊

Was given a shark dive as a gift from my wife, I’ve not dived for 6 years so was a great gift! Maxine and Mo were our instructors this morning, they were absolutely great! Information and guidance was clear and they gave everybody plenty of time to do what they needed to do at their own pace. They were always attentive and easy to talk to. The dive itself was a great experience to see a nice range of underwater life without leaving the country to warmer waters! Thank you for a lovely morning!

  • 5/5 Vanessa 2 years ago on Google
Did a shark dive here and it was fab! The time in the water flew by so fast that it felt like 5 minutes but the instructors were amazing. The assault course was also very hard for adults 😅

  • 5/5 Grant S. 2 years ago on Google
What an incredible experience. Range of activities is brilliant, the timings between each really well thought out, and the staff were exceptional. Great way to challenge yourself and face up to some fears. Absolutely worth every penny.

Fun day here using our Merlin passes. Never been here before.,We done high ropes, climbing & Archery. Very prompt checking in and getting a wristband with our activities on . There’s lots of lockers which are free using an electronic wristband to lock/unlock which are easy to use. The high ropes can be cold as outdoors so wrap up warm depending when you go . Very helpful staff. A special mention goes to Elise who helped & put my 8yo daughter at ease on the high ropes, thank you. Give yourself an hour gap between doing high ropes & climbing as it can be tiring.
