Great food and generous portion at this little cosy restaurant. We had the handmade fettuccine (must try!) salmon, spaghetti carbonara (amazing cheese & bacon) and the seafood linguine. Friendly service. Fast and efficient too. Reasonably priced. Will come back again!!

Had the Calzone Mangia Bene and was good. Was surprised when it came to the table as it was huge. Overall good flavors and would eat again. The only thing that I’d change is the bottom was a bit soft (top was awesome) and I’m guessing thats likely from the moisture from the mozzarella. Place was clean service and staff were very nice.

Pizza is ok but salty, and the tiramisu is not made with mascarpone but only/mostly with whipped cream… Service however is fast and atmosphere is nice.

This small, family owned Italian restaurant is amazing. Antonio, the owner was incredibly attentive & so hard-working. Due to allergies and a few other specific dietary needs, the restaurant was very accommodating & understanding. Giuseppe, my server was so lovely and even provided extra parmesan cheese as seen in pic! Food ingredients tasted fresh & put together very well. Warm, relaxing atmosphere complimented with soft music & beautiful wine. Will definitely return & recommend to friends

Authentic Italian food. Great taste and portion size. The desserts were the perfect sweet fix after a nice meal.

A hidden gem. The street and surroundings don’t say much. First time here myself and it was beyond my expectations. Had a first of the meatballs. Sorry but they where so good that I missed the photo. Tomato was perfectly balanced and cooked. Nothing fake in this sauce. The meatballs consistent but super moist and full of flavor. The side toast came with a perfect olive oil. I had that day’s special. Spaghetti with Lobster and Prawns…Call home Pasta was made that day maybe. Sauce buttery and so delicious I was sad it ended. Lobster firm not dry, fresh and full of information This is quite a discovery. Yes, owner is there all the time. No wonder. By the way, not expensive. The money goes to the plate

This was so unexpected. We had the most amazing food. 5 🌟 customer service and surprisingly extensive dessert menu, which definitely didn't disappoint. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic meal... Great service for a large group of 19 that just walked in..... All of the food looks amazing. The drinks were incredibly strong. Very accommodating for our kids as well

Delicious Italian food with many veg options. I ordered Melanzane alla Parmigiana for starters, Penne all’Arrabbiata and finish off with a slice of Tiramisu. Would definitely comeback again to try other dishes.

Stumbled across here when we couldn’t get a seat somewhere else and was such a great experience!! We got a half metre of pizza (which we underestimated how big it would be) and a bottle of wine. Everyone was super lovely and the restaurant has such a chill cozy atmosphere.

Came for my daughters birthday meal last week. We all had a great time. Food was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Will be returning next time we are in London.

Food was great. Pizza delicious and very large. We were lucky enough to be squeezed in at the last minute, before a large party arrived, but our table was right next to the entrance so we were disturbed by people coming in and out and squeezing past our chairs during our 40 minute stay. That altered the atmosphere a bit, so we left quite quickly. Our fault - we should have booked. Will definitely return.

You have to really search for places that have the right balance of authenticity, good food and wonderful service and Mangia Bene has all of that. I visited with a friend during a week night recently, and had the loveliest time. Though there were a steady stream of people taking tables all evening, we were never once made to feel rushed, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be making it a regular haunt.

Really hidden gem in such close proximity to Angel station! We thought with the prices the food would be quite average, but it was SO good and really above our expectations. Everything homemade is absolutely delicious, and the staff were so lovely and welcoming (especially our server Stefan, who recommended the Truffle Fettuccini which was incredible)! Thank you for a lovely evening with our family & the limoncello shots to top it all off :) Highly recommended.

The food was great, and the portions are good too. They have plenty of options, which makes the choice difficult ! I tried fettuccine al ragù which was delicious. The person who served us was very nice and welcoming.

We ate here 3 times during the week we stayed in the area. The food is among the best Italian food we have eaten, and that includes Italy. If we lived nearby, we would eat here regularly. The family who owns the restaurant is very gracious. I absolutely recommend this restaurant! Mangia Bene, thank you for the wonderful meals. If we return to the area, we will definitely come in for another meal.

The place is small. better to go here when it's less busy. The service was slow. Had Caprese salad to share. Pizza was great and had Sea bass that was tasteless. later had food poisoning. I suggest Pizza would be the best option.

A very tasty calzone from Mangia Bene on chapel market in Islington. The dough was lovely and fillings were fresh and generous. Very authentic Italian feel to the place. The’d definitely benefit from an Instagram account to help funnel new business and highlight how great they are.

Amazing little restaurant, not many tables and without much people walking around it, since it isn't on the main street, quite the secret pearl in Angel, the staff was friendly and polite. The homemade pasta with Ragu was incredible, the best part of the meal, their pizzas are very good too. The only but would be the fact that some items are not available half of the time, and the Panna cotta felt bought from somewhere else (I might be wrong, it was just the perception) Other than those very small points, the restaurant is neat and the toilets are always clean, definitely recommended

What a wonderful, brilliant and tasty Italian. Working nearby and went one night randomly…. Ended back there 4 nights in a row. The staff are wonderful and friendly. In fact, on the last night we had to wait a while for drinks and and order came out wrong but it’s such a nice place and they’re so busy it’s no problem at all. We enjoyed sitting there each and every night and the food was incredible. Some of the best pizza / pasta you’ll find in N London.

The best carbonara I have had in a long time! Staff were lovely and welcoming. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:47pm and was already up and out by 6:14pm with a full stomach. We left very satisfied 10/10 :)
