Mr Clark - you are amazing 🤩🦵🦿🙏! I've been suffering with knee pain (mainly around the patella) for many years due to wear and tear from all the sport I do and it's finally caught up with me 🙈 My physio recommended I see Damian as he knew he would be able to help me. From my initial consultation with Damian, subsequent appointments, through to the actual surgery and the post op check up, I knew I was in very safe hands. I have never ever stayed in hospital overnight, let alone had surgery, so this was a big deal for me but the team at Nuffield Hospital were all so lovely, kind, friendly, helpful and really looked after me ☺️ Damian is one of the most genuine people I've met. He is calm, friendly, caring, professional and empathetic. He listened and reassured me at every stage, answered any questions or worries I had (no matter how crazy they were 🙈😂). He gave me all the pros and cons prior to surgery (as I am quite young for patellofemoral joint replacement - that's a 1st for me to be able to say that at my age 🙈) and gave me time to think before making a decision. Surgery is a very vulnerable position to put yourself in but I trusted Damian and his team to look after me and I was right! I was so excited to see him and show him my progress at my 6wk post op appointment, that I nearly jumped up and ran down the corridor - but thought better of it (never run before you can walk 😂🙈) I was fascinated by my x-rays and was able to request them securely from Radiology which is fab 😁🦿 Thanks to Damian's incredible handiwork, my amazing physio and my determination, my recovery is more than I could have imagined 😊 and I'm now able to start enjoying the gym and my classes again (after 6wks) - with adaptations and a very specific, tailored approach to me - means my recovery and rehab continues in the right direction 😁 Muito obrigado por meu novo joelho Damian🦿🦵😉🙏 Take care and hope to see you again for the other knee (but not too soon 😂😂), best wishes, Suzy 😊

Amazing experience from start to finish with the whole team at the Nuffield in Bristol for my full knee replacement. I was looked after from Day 1 and was always informed of what was happening until my final consultation 11 months later when I was told my new knee was perfect ! Fantastic. Damian is a great guy and a top class professional. I had a menisectomy with Damian in February 2021 and have recovered quickly and easily, much better than expected. He kept me informed about the risks and rewards and the long term effects of the surgery. On the day he and his team were fantastic and made me feel confident about what we were doing. If you do not like a hospital environment or the thought of surgery then Damian and his team will make life a lot easier for you! Highly recommended. I owe him a lot 😊

I can highly recommend Damian for knee surgery. In November 2018 I had ACL reconstruction & meniscus repair, from the first consultation with Damian I knew I was in good hands. He was extremely informative and made me feel comfortable. After having the surgery he came in to check on me and explain everything that had happened in surgery with great detail. Once I was out of hospital, 2 weeks later Damian continued to follow up with myself to see if everything was okay as I was healing. I have recently had my 9 months (fully healed) check up and I have healed absolutely fine with no problems during this time. Do not hesitate to book with Damian if you are considering knee surgery. I had meniscus knee surgery in early December 2022. The pre-treatment diagnosis provided by Damian Clark, subsequent surgery and post-operative treatment were all excellent. My knee is now fully recovered and has returned to full function allowing me to enjoy all of the lifestyle activities I had been missing out on for the previous 3-4 months. I’m also now free from of any pain. I cannot recommend Mr Clark highly enough.

Saw Mr Clarke as an nhs patient at the Spire hospital in Bristol. Had an acl replacement- treatment was 1st class from initial assessment to final sign off and im pleased to say that my knee is now like new.

I would highly recommend Damian Clark. 18 months ago I hobbled into his office with a knee that had erroded and I was in emense pain and on crutches. Damian went through the plan to replace me knee, clearly. Reassuring me every step of the way. I am now pain free walking and cycling enjoying a better quality of life. I had ACL replacement with Damian earlier in the year, throughout the whole process I felt very well informed on what my options were and what was happening. Following the successful operation and keeping up with the assigned rehab programme, I manged to run an ultramarathon 7 months after surgery. Knee is making great progress, giving me great confidence in returning to football in the near future

Mr Clark carried out an ACL reconstruction (with hamstring) and meniscus root repair for me in January 2023. Following completion of the rehab plan with a regular physio, I am now back to full fitness and able to return to sports, including running and cycling. The knee feels rock solid. The entire process was very well managed, and I had full information and guidance both pre and post operation. The rehab in particular has been spot on, and any questions I’ve had were answered very clearly. Thank you!

As far as I am concerned Damion Clark is a genius, the operation for a full knee replacement was first class and six weeks on I am doing remarkably well, also Damion has a lovely persona and so easy to talk to.I was initially very scared of having this procedure and nearly changed my mind, thank goodness common sence took over because I did a two mile walk yesterday and it was wonderful to be pain free. I have worked hard at my physio and will continue to do so. I am not able to add a photo or video as not that good on the computer, however, I am happy for my comments to be publicised, I can honestly say my care at the Nuffield was incredible. I am 79 years of age but now feeling a lot younger. I am so grateful to everyone concerned.

Mr Clark is a fantastic specialist. I first sustained a knee injury playing sport, and over the years, my knee stability had gradually declined. I was seen by Mr Clark who was very informative about the injuries sustained (ACL and meniscus tears) and made sure that I understood my treatment options and recovery times. It’s been a long journey but I’m back to pre-injury fitness and cannot that Mr Clark enough for always being professional, reassuring, and doing such a fantastic job on my reconstructive surgery. I am very belatedly recommending Mr Damian Clark, who performed a partial knee replacement on my left leg last October. My operation had initially been postponed due to Covid restrictions, but Mr Clark kept me informed and I was given an appointment as soon as lockdowns allowed. The operation went really well and my new knee has become stronger daily. Plus, I have a very neat and barely noticeable scar! Mr Clark has been very informative and reassuring throughout, and the operation has really improved my life style as I can now walk without a stick for the first time in years! Many thanks.

Mr Clark recently performed a partial knee replacement operation on me at St Marys Nuffield Hospital in Bristol in November 2020. After eight weeks, my knee is now functioning completely normally and is totally pain-free. After some years of severe discomfort and, latterly, considerable restriction to my mobility this is a considerable relief. Life transformed... I have my knee back! I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Clark for his care and expertise, therefore. He is also very friendly and informative and this made the entire experience even more positive.

I had partial knee replacements in both knees at the Nuffield Chesterfield hospital. Mr Clark conducted both operations and they were perfect in every way. He is such a courteous , helpful surgeon that it was almost a pleasurable experience! Recovery was speedy and carefully monitored. The scars are hardly visible!! I was well briefed throughout. I am very grateful for Mr Clark's care and skill, and I can now play three rounds of golf a week as a result. My knees were so painful before the operations that I could not easily walk. Exceptional skill and care from an exceptional surgeon in an exceptional hospital!!

I was fortunate to have my knee surgery undertaken by Mr. Damian Clark. My knee was useless prior surgery, with limited movement. The surgery, aftercare and advice was excellent (and a hardly visible scar) plus wonderful physio advice. My knee is now pain free I have an excellent bend and am functioning perfectly. I went to see Mr Clark at the Spire Hospital Bristol in April 2019 as I was experiencing debilitating pain in my left knee After my consultation with him it was decided that I would have an MRI scan which showed that my kneecap was in the wrong position and so it was decided that the best option would be for the kneecap would be moved along with the tendon, which would be plated & screwed into it's new position. Throughout the process Mr Clark explained every area of what the operation would entail - 4 weeks in a leg brace & 8 on crutches followed by physio. He was also very honest and said that the operation could still potentially leave me with some residual pain. I had the operation in August 2019. As it is his expertise has given back my life. I am pain free, am able to fully use my knee and am walking faster and longer than I had been able to do over the previous 3 years and all without a stick! Mr Clark is very reassuring, has a gentle manner and will answer any questions you may have. I would not hesitate to ensure that Mr Damian Clark was the Consultant I would always have to do any further knee surgery if needed in the future.

My third knee operation. I'll definitely go back to Mr Clark if I need a fourth. Great communication, expedited MRI because of holiday and was really accommodating re appointment/surgery dates. Importantly, he totally understood my long-term desire to keep skiing and gave me complete confidence that he would make the right call even though he didn't know what the best surgical option would be until he got inside. As it happens I live locally but would happily travel further if necessary. Extremely impressed and highly recommended.

Damian Clark performed a full right knee replacement for me 7 weeks ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. My old knee was giving me a great deal of pain and was unreliable when walking. My new knee is amazing and the scar is straight and neat and I’m sure in a few months it will almost be unnoticeable. On the day of my surgery at the Nuffield Bristol, Mr Clark kept me fully informed of the procedure, and I was given the choice of anestesia on the day. The after care at the hospital was excellent, all the staff were very helpful and gentle, I was very well cared for my entire stay. Mr Clark allowed me to go home on the third day with an excellent pain relief program, and a comprehensive set of exercises, which has allowed me to return to a normal life. Thank You 😊

Was recommended to see Damien Clark following a knee injury playing hockey that left me struggling to walk. Mr Clark was brilliant throughout, talking me through the injury and treatment options, ensuring I understood it all. His manner is always very relaxed and friendly. Had the knee operation in September 2020 and less than 3 months later am able to walk without pain and play hockey again. Would certainly go back to Mr Clark if I ever need any further knee treatment. Highly recommended
