First time at Red Bowl and it did not disappoint!! Everything we ate was delicious, especially the dumplings in chili oil. We will definitely be going back again and again. Our food got out so fast and the customer service was also great! Highly recommend😋

THE ONLY DAN DAN NOODLE PLACE IN TAMPA. Shown: Dan Dan noodles, chili oil dumplings, cucumber salad, braised beef rice bowl. *chefs kiss* I tried dan Dan noodles in New York and fell in love... so I was so sad to come back and learn that this didn’t exist until I found Red Bowl. It’s a little bit spicy so if that’s not your thing, check out the rest of their menu but if you do like spicy, go and get yourself a bowl! It was great service and decent portion for you noodle lovers. You’ll thank me later, or mark my review helpful 🤤😏

LOVE this place. Super good food and great service. Definitely tucked away, and a total gem! My husband got the beef curry and I got the tofu. Both were very good. The beef melts in your mouth! Our only complaint was that the servings of the protein were on the smaller end but the servings of the rice/noodles were generous. But the price is very reasonable: $10-12 each. We are definitely coming back!

I love this place! If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this is a go to! This is not your typical Chinese restaurant that serves Americanized Chinese foods like orange chicken or general tso. We ordered a lot. I will enumerate from 1 as the the best 1. Lamb kebab - not too spicy and it's soft. I will order this again. Recommendable! 2. Squid kebab - not too spicy and it's soft. I will order this again. Recommendable! 3. Fried bread - texture os so soft and smooth. Texture is better than a donut. 4. Sweet dumpling- unique texture! Similar to mochi but better 5. Spike potatoes - unique and flavorful! Not too spicy as well. I recommend this. 6. Ground pork ramen - order it as mild spicy. It's a bit oily but it's good. 7. Braised Beef Ramen - order it as mild spicy. It's a bit oily but it's good 8. Thai tea - it's good because it is not artificially flavored and not too swet compared to most thai teas I tried. 9. Chicken gizzard and heart - this is not in the menu but it's in their "to go fridge". I like this one but i find it too oily. 10. Beef buns - this is not in the menu but it's in their "to go fridge". It's meh. I tasted better buns. Tasted bland. 11. Dumplings in chili oil - it's okay. I had better. 12. Peruvian Apple herb- taste bland Service is excellent and really friendly.

Red Bowl is my down home spot for authentic Chinese food. Especially for Szechuan dishes and specialties. The owner is so nice and always accommodating just ask for recommendations and she is happy to help They have lunch specials Tuesday to Fri that are rice or noodle dishes. This is street food what the people eat! Spice is never a problem but you can get variety of heat when ordering This is a great place in this plaza on Fletcher!

Delicious food. Great service. The restaurant seems kind of like a hidden gem. We were there around 1:30pm on a Sunday and I was surprised by how little people were inside. The dumplings with chili oil appetizer were amazing! After just one I said ‘yeah, I’d come back here just for these’ Definitely try this place! You won’t regret it!

Fantastic little place from this rather unassuming facade from outside. Everything we ordered was so unique, delicious and perfectly prepared in terms of flavours and ingredients. The Szechuan pepper aftertaste is not as bad as other similar places where they put much more pepper into the dishes.

Their spicy chicken dry ramen isn't to be missed....nor are their dumplings in chili oil. The place is an unassuming location...but looks are so deceiving! The food is really fantastic, and the staff is really really great. To top it off...Chef came out and presented us with a small bowl of brown sugar and peanut and sesame seed gelatin dessert in a bowl to settle our mouths as a special treat. Such a wonderful ending to our lunch!❤️

First picture all the food was gone because it was AMAZING and i forgot to snap a pic first. Second pic is of the full meal. Atmosphere is great, music is, great, super nice people. It feels good here. Still in the process of decorating can’t wait to come back in a month and see the full touches. Definitely a place where you feel comfortable to try something new. The Mango Tea is over the top amazing. Just make sure you are nice and you too very well they deserve it.

I walked into this establishment unexpectedly but I am looking forward to trying the rest of their menu. Their ramen looks amazing. I ordered the braised ribs and it was delicious. The meat was tender and even the hard boiled egg added a nice twist. Will certainly be back. I did visit again recently and was in the mood for something with broth. The owner, I believe, recommended this dish and it was amazing. I can’t get enough of their braised ribs.

Sorry Ichicoro, but this place is AUTHENTIC! Hands down best I have had. I actually dislike Chinese food, but the food was amazing. The flavors were bold, had the right amount of spice and was plentiful. Went during lunch with my daughter. She had the beef ramen and I had the spicy chicken. I was very impressed. The person that greeted us, I believe is the owner, was so helpful and kind. She gave us a gelatin dessert to finish the palate and it was so refreshing! This is a little hidden gem! Go And you won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant is located behind the stairs/elevator in the middle of the shopping plaza. Great tasting authentic szechuan (mainland china) food. Love the lamb kebab and ramen. Highly recommended. Some dishes can be a little spicy. Friendly staff.

Loved this place 😍 It's my first time eating pork, so I was careful at first, but after having these dumplings, I am absolutely enjoying it. Dumplings in chilli oil taste so wonderful. It was wonderful chicken with salt and crunch.(Salt and crispy chicken) Dan Dan noodles is a good choice! The lamb kebab, fried bread, curry chicken rice bowl, cold noodles, chicken wings, and spicy chicken are also favorites of mine. And the restaurant's Owner, who is incredible and I loved how well she looked after each and every one of her customers. Must try place! Note: Most people have trouble finding the restaurant. It is next to the pharmacy.

Very quaint, went on a Thursday afternoon and we were the only ones there (people came in occasionally to pick up food). The restaurant prides themselves in being authentic Chinese and everything tasted and looked delicious. Great prices as well!

Wonderful experience and food made with love (and a nice kick). The gentleman who took care of us was extremely attentive and kind. Dumplings in chili oil were great and the seafood hot bowl is super! Great food

The fella who runs Red Bowl, Ken, is an absolute joy to talk to, and be around. He instinctually knows how hot the food can be for a given patron; it’s really quite amazing! He saved me, on my first visit, and I’ve trusted his judgement since. The food here is so good, they regularly sell out, seriously. I won’t recommend anything; I’ll recommend everything! The calamari rings are the best ever! The vibe, the personable nature of the excellent service, and the quality food, combine to make Red Bowl head and shoulders above the rest! Every dish we’ve tried here, has been delicious!

Tampa traffic is not great but so worth it to come here and try their food. Their ramen, service, and atmosphere is great for couples and families. I personally think the pork dishes are better than the beef and the dumplings are a MUST.

Red bowl is in a quaint space that you never guess housed such delicious food. The customer service is amazing. They are very welcoming and happy to answer questions you may have. You can tell they are passionate about the restaurant. Now the food…. My goodness! I got the dumplings in chili oil and braised beef ramen. Talk about flavor town! My mouth is doing somersault and my tongue is perfectly numb from the spices. This is the perfect place to indulge in great food with a warming environment!

So, the stars are for excellent customer service...they were super kind and efficient and even wrote a note on our meal and gave us some free candy (which was absolutely delicious 😋!!) Unfortunately, we didn't find the food to be flavorful despite the excellent plating. Got the chili dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. The chili oil was actually tasty, but the dumplings themselves had absolutely no flavor...the skins were thick and doughy and the filling was super bland so the oil couldn't save them. Same with the noodles...oil sauce was spicy and flavorful, but everything else was just bland. We'll definitely give them another try, but with different menu items because these simply weren't to our liking. What I really need to know is where to buy that candy they gave us...it was nougat-like with raisins and pistachios and we pretty much fought over it 😆!!

It's a nice small restaurant on Fletcher Avenue. We ordered veg spring rolls, hot bowl, crispy chicken and chicken rice bowl. Everything was good. Service was really nice. The hot bowl was great and came with a bowl of rice. Thai tea was delicious 🧋👍

Such an amazing experience. Staff and food was authentic and fresh made to order. Delicious! Everyone loved their food and the dumplings are a must!! The chef was so sweet and came out and greeted us and gave us fruit. She even makes her own candy. Great hidden gem that’s adorable and will be back!

Great place for a nice bowl of ramen! Our family of 4 loved everything we got. Started with the dumplings in chili oil (MUST get it) and the cucumber salad (also fantastic). Each of us got our own bowls including Dan Dan Noodles, Braised beef ramen, fu rong, and spicy chicken. We finished with an amazing coconut with sweet sago dessert served in a coconut! So tasty and different! We were fighting for our time with the coconut 😂 This place is so crave-worthy I know we're going to make the trip for take out many times now that we dined in and loved it. Highly recommended if you love Asian flavors and ramen.

Excellent Sichuan food. I ordered what i thought was Ants Climbing a Tree but it turned out to be a different dish but it was also delicious so I got to try something new. Apparently they're flying in someone from China this month to put actual Ants Climbing a Tree on the menu but everything i had was wonderful. The service was friendly and responsive and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I really enjoyed this place.

Our family came here for late lunch. They have a great variety of selections of authentic Szechuan foods that can satisfy everyone including little kids. We ordered squid kebab, Crystal noodles, seafood hot bowl, Dan Dan noodles, braised beef ramen, hot & sour crystal noodles, ground pork rice noodles, Taiwanese pork rice bowl. EVERYTHING is so delicious!!! 😋 oh btw, you can also select the level of spicy. We love the spicy taste but can’t take much of spicy and it’s not a problem at all here. You just need to let the waiter know and they made sure to get the right spicy level without sacrificing the yummy flavors! The photos don’t justify the look because I am not fast enough to take photos before everyone gets the yummy foods! Highly recommend Red bowl!

One of the true "authentic" Chinese food places, not the common fast food varieties. Drove over an hour to get here, but definitely worth the trip. Will come back again for more!

Unfortunately I began eating before I ate most of it but let me tell you: by far nest Asian dining location I've been too. Slightly more pricey than usual, but worth the extra $4-6 that'd you'd pay else where. I highly recommend. I had spicy beef soup and it was excellent. Made to order.

The food here was just okay, I've been searching for a place with good, authentic Szechuan food and this simply isn't it. I ordered a variety of entrees and appetizers and while they LOOKED good, all of them were lacking that bold flavor that Szechuan cuisine is known for. The hot and sour noodle soup was subpar, and missed that classic "sour" flavor. The chicken ramen was just okay, and even after adding what should have been far too much chili oil, it still tasted bland! On top of that, the one waitress (she said she was new, had glasses, and was fairly young) literally FAT SHAMED us for ordering more than one entree each + appetizers (which btw, we took most of it home bc we were not actually even planning on eating it all there). Told us multiple times that was too much food for one person and that "the average healthy person typically only orders one thing". Absolutely ridiculous. She also didn't know the menu, could not answer any questions I had regarding the menu items or what was served with each individual dish (she also did not even attempt to ask anyone else either), and she blatantly told me I couldn't add Bok choy to my ramen bowl (even though almost all the other ones include it) because -according to her- if the menu doesn't explicitly say it includes it, then you cannot order it that way! That was simply absurd considering how simple it would be to add Bok choy, but the real kicker is that my food actually DID come with Bok choy and it was SUPPOSED to - it just wasn't listed on the menu since there was no description at all for the particular menu item. The only thing that prevented me from rating this place 1 star was the SUPER nice, very kind, waitress (has an undercut of some sort - I didn't catch her name) who took over after our original waitress stopped showing up to our table. She seemed to know everything much better and was very polite to us the entire time. For the little amount of time we were served by HER, it almost made up for the terrible service from the first waitress. If you do decide to come here, pray and hope you get her instead of the new girl! I won't be back.
