McArthur's Irish Pub

Bar Irish pub

👍 A solid Irish pub friendly quiet good location. Nice place for a pint or two at the end of a long day. Cool quiet and not too bright after a long tropical day in St Pete and light. People often mention Irish, great, music, service, delicious, atmosphere, time, live, good, love,

Edit 2/18. We walked in hoping for a delicious meal. The sign said tell us your here. I did just that and was promptly ignored. No "Welcome to McArthurs", no acknowledgment or even a "I'll be right with you guys" from the server. We then sat there for FIVE minutes while the server, who looked directly at us and knew we were there, served two customers who came in AFTER us, and started chatting with them and pouring their beers. She looked at us and ignored us AGAIN. So, we left. And won't be back. Better learn how to train your staff better, McArthurs. Poor service and attitudes lost you a hundred dollar tab today. First time here for Jimbo Slices' Birthday and this place was great! Scotch Eggs, Guinness Meatballs, Corned Beef Burger and the Fish n' Chips were ALL amazing! We are definitely coming back here very soon for some live music and to try some more things on the menu. Thanks Megan!

This place was amazing. Bartenders were so cool to chat with and played great music. They even change the channel on TV for us to watch the baseball game. My favorite item was the beer cheese fries and hot wings. They also have live music that sets the perfect vibe. I'm definitely going back. Mmmmmm can't stop thinking of those beer cheese fries 😋

Very cool Irish pub. Tried both dinner and brunch during this visit. Dinner was great Irish classics that were very tasty. The Sheppards pie was fantastic. At brunch we had the endless mimosas which were chilled an fresh. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the classic Irish breakfast is also a must try. FANTASTIC friendly service. Highly recommended if you are in the area!! Update: still awesome! The corned beef and cabbage was delicious. Authentic Irish all the way. Still highly recommend stopping in

Fabulous experience ... met Art (owner) and he informed us about how he converted this building into the Irish bar it is today. Kelly is a terrific server. Dave Gilmore is an outstanding musician.

We discovered this little gem after driving by on our way to breakfast and noticing the parking lot was full. We stopped in later that day to have dinner. It's a cute Irish pub that has live music (I believe on weekends). The menu is limited but it's standard Irish fare. What we had was delicious! The prices are reasonable and the service was good. We want to back and try their brunch (menu pictured). The only food I took a picture of was my tomato bisque. It was extremely thick (which I personally LOVED) and would've gone perfectly with a grilled cheese sammie (which they have but I wasn't hungry enough to get one). I will definitely be back to try other items.

Customer service is above everything else!!! So friendly and accommodating... The food came out super quick and was quite tasty (if a bit underseasoned). Drinks were cold, refilled quickly, and plentiful. Irish music was really quite good and live!! Will go back in a heartbeat.

We just came back from a trip to Ireland and were missing having a traditional Irish breakfast. The Irish breakfast was just like the one we had in Ireland! The atmosphere is great and they had live music the Sunday we went. We’ll definitely be back for dinner. I’ve researched all the Irish restaurants in our area looking for a menu closest to what we found at the pubs in Ireland and this place was it! We’ll be back for dinner for sure! But I am still looking for a place that serves brown bread and lamb shank though💚

Absolutely love this place! I am so happy they kept the Babalu wing sauce! The food is amazing, whiskey selection is very large. Barry is awesome! We will definitely be back

Fun place especially when there is live music. This place also has great food. I had their house sauce wings and Guinness Stew.

I love the atmosphere here, like being over at a friend's place. I went by myself for lunch the first time. I liked it so much. I took my daughter back for dinner that night (she has a tight work schedule). When my dad was in town the next day, he wanted to try it, too! This is the Bangers and Mash, and the Beer Cheese and Bacon Chips (fries). As expected in an Irish pub, the food is delicious and the drinks are stout. Just don't ask for a light pour- you'll get a double lol. This is definitely a place you'll want to go back to.

First time having lunch here and found the atmosphere was great, but the meals were less than exceptional. So we had the fish and chips and the chicken sandwich, The fish was just ok, small portions, and everyone at the table who had the fries commented they were under cooked, soggy. I love fries, but they need to be crispy, or at least hot. The grilled chicken sandwich was not cooked enough and soggy as well and fell apart. The grilled chicken sandwich was, well, just ok to speak of. The coleslaw was the worst, repeat the worst, and those of us who had it didn't eat it. All in all, there were 5 of us, and no one enjoyed their meal. I wish I had a positive note here but can't say. Ohhh, the atmosphere.

Wonder and cozy Irish pub. Perfect atmosphere, wonderful kind people and great music! Stopped by on Monday to enjoy music and it was excellent and goofy joe (lol that is not his name, I’m messing it up!) was amazing and so funny. My honey and I loved his dry humor cracks as much as his excellent music. Greasy place to enjoy my Irish roots and I will be returning with family when they visit the area🍀❤️🍀❤️

This place was awesome. I had the bangers and mash, and my grandma had the fish sandwich. Next time I want to try the scotch eggs.

Great Irish Pub with an authentic feel! Went for their open mic night, had some great local talent playing. Enjoyed a scotch egg with a couple of their "Auld" Fashioneds. All in all, service was quick, environment was fun, and I would highly recommend if you're in the mood for an authentic Irish Pub night ☘️

We came here for a specialty trivia night and I love the place! The food was so good, and I liked the laid back atmosphere here too. The service was just so-so, we ran out of drinks several times but overall it was a good experience. It was also super busy so I don't hold the slow service against them too much really. Parking was an issue, but I was able to find street parking as all of the lots close to this place had towing signs up and this parking lot is not big. All of the food everyone got looked great, I was really impressed by the fish and chips one of my friends got. I had the paddy melt and it was delicious. Overall I recommend this place for sure and wish I lived closer so I could come more often, but I'll definitely be back!

The food is to die for and I love the stunning example of how you can run a successful restaurant without a massive freaking 30% full parking lot wrapped around it. Despite this, I’m not always in a mood where I can tolerate listening to drop kick Murphys song after song after song. I get the Irish theme but it’s a bit much.

A cozy place with outstanding atmosphere! The food is very good and arrived quickly, they serve a great brunch. The staff is warm and friendly (Alexis was working the bar like a champ but still found time to make two first time visitors feel like regular customers!!) The proximity to Tropicana Field makes it an ideal place to go before a Rays game !!

The service is above awesome! The food is outstanding! I thought I was getting a grill cheese with ham and what I received was THE most delicious, sandwich loaded with cheese and tomato with honey mustard! Fresh tavern ham piled high completes the awesomeness ❤️ You truly need to treat yourself and your senses to authentic Irish food in a place that's full of lovely, lively, and just outright fun.! Treating you like you're the most important guest. Karaoke nights and Irish vibes. ABSOLUTELY love this place and will definitely be back for more of that authentic Irish cuisine. ❤️ Mary Morgan Bartow Florida
