Lunch World Service One of Nottingham's top restaurants. Not been here for a while. They seem to have upped their game with the food. The food just gets better everytime. You can't go wrong here. Superb very tasty food. As can be seen from the photographs, the food is beautifully served on plates with large rims. You might think the portions at first glance are small, but in fact the size is just right, especially if you add the well cooked vegetables, including delicious broccoli and chunky chips with Parmesan cheese and truffle. The carrot cake for dessert was light and just the right way to finish the meal.

Went for my birthday. It was a good experience. The food is pretty good, but not super satisfied for the price I paid for it. We ordered from the fixed price menu and for my starter I ordered the velouté soup, which I found to be the best part of the entire meal. It was such a good consistency and the taste was perfectly creamy but the right amount of tangy at the same time, and the corn adding to the richness of it. For my main I got the stone bass, which was satisfactory but not the best. The fish was well cooked but a little soggy, and the potatoes were well done but I was hoping for there to be more fish than potatoes on the plate. The sauce was the best part of the main. It was rich and good and pretty yum. On the side, we got a 50/50 mash, which was ... well mashed potatoes with nothing. Lastly, for the desert, I got a slice of carrot cake and that definitely made for a nice ending to the meal and the evening, but it was more of a 'good homemade quality' than a 'Michelin star worthy' cake.

Not been for a few years but wanted to try it again. Great welcome and had a cocktail while choosing dinner from the menu. All the way through the meal had great service, the food was great, small portions but enough and really tasty and presented well. I said small but I could not manage a dessert.

Great service, tasty cocktails. The bread brought before the starters were delicious with the butter. Meals were flavourful and extremely well presented. We had the chefs selection of deserts which we enjoyed. The interior design was very cool.

We've been to World Service in Nottingham a few times, so when we had friends visiting, we were happy they chose there! Lovely attentive service if you're going for a special night out, plus the menu can cater for many different diets. Really special venue that carefully blends modern dining with 17th century settings. You can see why it's award winning!

We went to World Service for our anniversary, and had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was impeccable. Sarah and the supervisor (we didn't catch her name unfortunately) were brilliant in particular. They indulged us on our questions about the venue and really made us feel welcome. The food was great, even the bread and butter were lovely and clearly crafted with care and attention. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive without being obtrusive, and everyone was polite and courteous. We were very well looked after and will 100% be back to try out the menu as it changes. Worth every penny.

A fantastic experience, the staff where so attentive and the food was remarkable. Can't wait to go back for another celebration soon! I especially recommend the lamb. Amazing vegan and vegetarian options too.

What a wonderful experience we had at the World Service Restaurant. When entering, the staff greet you with warmth and welcome. The bar area is lovely and very comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding (apart from the deserts - which weren’t to my taste but my partner loved them) and the service alike. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

We went here for a Sunday Bank Holiday treat. I’ve never been so wasn’t really sure what to expect. The staff were very friendly and thought of the little bits which hadn’t even been asked for ie. Gluten free bread etc. The menu was great, plenty of choice and the price for Sunday food was pretty good considering where we were. The food was lovely, the ports/pudding wines really ended the dinner well! Id say my only niggle was the decor. I get that its meant to be dated but i was maybe expecting something slightly smarter, a working toilet seat for one. However a small niggle for a lovely afternoon.

Extremely good food and the staff were very accommodating of our request to push 2 parties together even though it was a busy Saturday night! We’re very grateful! Thank you for fabulous evening

Great overall experience. Really tasty and quality food, lives up to the expectations. Customer service was also accommodating and friendly. Great place for a date or for a special occasion with your partner. Highly recommended to try it at least once if you are in Nottingham.

Superb Sunday lunch - a busy time but attentive and friendly service from arrival to leaving. Snow falling outside made it magical. The wines are first class. Food presentation is distinctive and the roast beef exceptional. Well done to the whole team

Lovely dining room at the front which I haven't been in before. I really enjoyed the decor, although there could have been more Christmas decorations as we were there for our Xmas do. I have eaten here over the past 20years but don't feel like the food is as good or unique as it used to be. Plus the portion sizes appear to be a lot smaller. Also absolutely terrible Vegetarian and Vegan options as some of our group don't eat meat or dairy. Won't be returning too soon.

Great food served by lovely staff. I would definetely come back here again. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the atmosphere is perfect. We had 3 courses and all of them were lovely. From soup to beautifully cooked beef steaks it was all amazing. My tip would be to get the triple cooked chips as an extra side they were amazing. It is more expensive than other restaurants but you are paying for the quality of the food. I would reccomend this place for a special occasions.

Private dining room which held 20 people. The food was delicious and the cheese platter was incredible! Only bode of contention was the delay between courses. That was a tad bit too slow for myself. It caused us to rush towards the end. However apart from that, I couldn't fault the venue , food or service. Will visit again. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant in Nottingham. The service is unmatched. The staff truly care about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we've had while in. Highly recommend!
